I love tapas(small plates) because it allows me to try new foods without investing in a full meal. And the quality of the tapas at Genevieve’s is exceptional. Everything we’ve tried here has been so delicious, most recently the flatbread and pimento cheese fritters with pineapple slaw. The staff is very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend if you attend an event at the Peace Center or are just looking for some new and unique food downtown.

Beautiful views of the downtown Greenville area, large open space for dining, and small; but lively, bar area. We stopped in before a Peace Center show to have appetizers and drinks. The cocktail list is interesting and they offer craft beer as well. They also offer a small wine by the glass and bottle menu. The food menu is limited to small plates and appetizers, and the night we were there they were out of a few of those, so I did not get to taste much of their food. Overall, a lovely experience with incredible views of downtown, conversation, a nice bottle of wine, and a couple of appetizers. Warm and friendly service. I would love to see a more aggressive food menu, but I would still go back with the menu as it is. Also, the tables and chairs in the dining room do not match the vibe of the venue. The tables and chairs look weathered, old, and depressing(think wooden school desk meets prison canteen table). I realize this could be by design, but they looked oddly out of place in this space. You do not have to have a Peace Center ticket to experience Genevieve’s, so stop by and have a cocktail and check it out.

I ordered lime sorbet with coconut purée, and it was mayonnaise, not coconut purée. Someone in the kitchen needs to get their act together!

I have dined here in the past, and loved it. Sadly, It has gone seriously downhill. They now only serve tapas which would be fine, except there are only 5 choices!!!(plus 3 small nibbles). We ordered 3 out of the 5. The beef and the quail were ok– the rillettes were terrible. And the dessert(again, only 2 choices) was a joke it was so bad. We will not eat here again until they do a serious revamping. The location is the only upside they have right now.

YOUDONOTHAVETOBEATTENDING A PEACECENTEREVENTTODINEORDRINKATGENEVIEVE’S. This is not clear on their website, and since you enter through the Peace Center lobby, it may be scaring folks off. Do not be scared off! You are missing a great experience. We made a reservation, and when we sat down, we told our waitress we weren’t attending the show, so she didn’t have to hurry us through. At 7:50pm, all the other diners went into the show, and we suddenly had the restaurant to ourselves. It was awesome… spectacular Greenville views, beautiful space… all to ourselves. What a treat. We relaxed back and sampled our way through the menu, enjoying some great craft cocktails along with the eclectic and delicious courses. My only comment is that the cheese plate was quite large… better for 3+ people to share as an appetizer. Please take an opportunity to visit and enjoy this one-of-a-kind Greenville dining experience.

This is a beautiful restaurant, with great views of the city skyline through one entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. Service was great, the prime rib and mashed potatoes were delicious and it was a huge portion that the restaurant split for my son and I to share. We both got ½″ thick slabs of beautiful medium rare roast. We were late getting there for a reservation before seeing Wicked(wreck on I-85 had traffic at a standstill for miles), but they were still able to seat us. I recommend the Cote de Rhone. The chocolate tiramisu cake was fabulous and we ate that during intermission(they kept our table for us, since we didn’t have time to settle the bill til then.) Only two things could make it better — 1) offer at least 2 green salad/veggie side dish options not just one, and 2) someone on staff should carry the phone with them if the reception area isn’t constantly manned, so phone calls don’t go to voice mail during operating hours.

Great dinner and show experience. Table is yours for the whole night u can pre order drinks or desert for intermission and return for after show drinks or appetizers. Ashley our waitress was wonderful explaining the dishes and how the table worked for the night. We saw wicked at the theater enjoyed a wonderful dinner and intermission coffee. A once in a life time experience.

Wow, there are some tough critics for Genevieve’s. I’ve been here twice before/during a show and really enjoyed it. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the ambiance is worth every penny, just be sure to make a reservation if you plan on eating! The best part of the whole experience though is the option to have coffee and dessert waiting for you at your table at intermission, that was awesome.

I don’t think I can give an adequate review in terms of food or service but we did have a beer at the bar and from what I saw, the service seemed to be pretty great. The wait staff was constantly moving. The food looked good but again I wouldn’t be able to confirm as we didn’t make reservations and therefore were not able to order anything off their menu. I will tell you this, the place is aesthetically pleasing.

We sent an email to Genevieve’s but after 4 days of no response we realized we had to post our review. My husband and I enjoy the Peace Center events and one of our very favorite places to dine and enjoy some nice wine beforehand is Genevieve’s. We just adored the chicken and dumplings we had before the Irish Tenor concert and told my Mum how delicious it was, how she absolutely had to come and have some. Today we took her to Porgy and Bess and made reservations for 11:30 luncheon. She and I both immediately ordered the chicken and dumplings, my husband had the steak. My husband and I had a nice glass of wine each and soon the chicken and dumplings came… what a disappointment!!! Not the lovely, thick chicken stew with the tiny air pillow dumplings that I had before, but this was more like a bowl of chicken soup with cream thrown in and four baking powder biscuits placed on top! Watery and LEUKWARM. Heat never came near that bowl! My Mum bravely ate hers, but I couldn’t eat mine. She and my husband enjoyed their desserts… I was no longer hungry. We have tickets for another performance at the Peace Center this next Sunday but we will not be eating at Genevieve’s.
