I really wanted to like Cookout especially since they are open later than almost anything else in the area. The restaurant was packed when we went through the drive thru so I figured that must be a good sign. The variety on the menu was pretty large and I ended up ordering a burger cheddar style and my fiancé got the burger cookout style and we shared hush puppies and onion rings. The service was quick and we only spent $ 10. We both agreed the burgers were okay, nothing spectacular and pretty greasy. The sides were horrible though. The onion rings had absolutely no seasoning to them at all and the hush puppies were burnt. I definitely would not recommend eating here.

Great choice for the family or a good alternative to the«usual» fast food burgers. The shakes are fantastic. You actually taste the mix in flavors and not an artificial fake sweetener taste like the other shake joints. The burgers have great flavor and really do taste like they were charcoal grilled.

I’m thinking the reason this place is always busy is because it’s so cheap. You definitely get a slight more ‘bang for your buck’ here compared to other fast food places… but that’s about all I can say that’s positive. Food just isn’t good. I usually give any restaurant at least two tries and this one bombed both of them. Haven’t tried a shake and may swing in for one at some point since several reviewers had positive things to say about them. Sounds like that’s the only thing worth getting here.

Shakes were good burger was ok and not right I’m allergic to what I asked with out and sure enough it was on there. Besides them trying to kill me it was just ok better the most fast food but they at least listen to my order.

Barely average burgers and ok fries but excellent shakes. We’ve had a peanut butter and a malted shake, both amazingly creamy and tasty, especially for the low price point. The peanut butter shake was strong on flavor whereas the malted was lighter. Two stars for the burgers and five stars for the shakes.

I can’t believe people eat this. Mojo’s is literally a stones throw away. A 20 times better burger but for some ungodly reason, this place is always packed. Ok so you have variety– but does it really matter if the variety all stinks? I understand this to be some sort of southern institution, but the only reason people proclaim it that is because they should actually be institutionalized. Leave this for the die hard fans. This truly is for the small percentage of folks who want to pay for food but do t care what they’re getting.

This particular Cook Out sucks!!! I am NEVER in my life going back there. They always get my order wrong!!! If I order a burger with everything I expect to see more than just ketchup an cheese. The drive threw is a disaster!!! This is simple food how is it possible for them to get something so basic wrong??? This location is not worth going to !!!

Great outdoor style cooked burgers. Wonderful cookout trays. Many type of milkshakes available.
