Banana Pudding Cake is a must! Butter pecan cake is great too. The cakes are so soft, moist, not too sweet, but delicious. A little pricy but you get your money’s worth.

You have to try confection connection. The cheese biscuits, sandwiches, soups, spaghetti and chicken pastry are delicious. The sweets are the best I’ve ever had, my favorite is the lemon meringue cupcake. You can tell they put a lot of love in there food. The wedding cakes they do are beautiful. Just a great store and the staff is sweet. My favorite place in Greenville.

If you love cake(AND I DO), you need to go to Confection Connection. The cakes are so moist and simply delicious. I pay a little more these cakes than I would at the grocery store bakery for my family birthday dinners, and they are definitely worth it. I have never thrown out any leftovers! I also like to get a single slice for myself to snack on with coffee over a couple of days. I have to hide it way in the back of the fridge to be able to keep it to myself. I also love the chocolate covered cherries! Yumm! I have had the cinnamon buns a few times for breakfast and I think they beat Cinabon. They’re always super moist.

I’ve been here a couple of times. The staff is very welcoming and friendly! I always ores a slice of red velvet cake. The first time I ordered, I couldn’t believe I just paid $ 8 for a slice of cake. But then I ate it. It is sooooooo good. And the actual slice itself is enough for 2 ppl. The cake is so moist and the frosting is so rich. I def recommend this place for cake any day!

Nothing too special about this place. Their desert options are pretty basic and the prices are very steap. I haven’t had anything here that I would return for. Just meh.

TL: DR — Worth a visit for courteous staff and quality lunch/dessert, but with small proportions at a boutique price. I’ve visited Confection Connections twice. Once, about six months ago, when I experienced much of the same negative reviews as previously mentioned(low quality lunch items, confusing atmosphere, etc). And again today where I experience a solid improvement on their offerings. This time I noticed some minor issues: a lack of signage on anything, no flavor descriptions on cupcakes or other desserts, no prices. There seemed to be a frozen yogurt station to the left of the counter but there was no signage or cups around it so I didn’t know if it was working or how to go about it. What looked to be an empty buffet station was also near the yogurt station which further made me wonder if that area was just storage or actually open. Again, all of these are just minor issues but were, nonetheless, my first impressions and could be easily fixed with signage. The lady behind the counter was courteous and explained to me the various flavors and prices of desserts. She even helped me pick out a lunch item based on her recommendations. Wonderful. So I ended up with a small Southwest Chicken Wrap and a Red Velvet cupcake. Now, this is where you have to realize Confection Connection is located in Arlington Village, one of Greenville’s «boutique» shopping centers, and you should expect boutique prices and proportions. So this small wrap, slightly larger than an eggrolll, was $ 4.99 without a side or drink(see picture); however, it was made to order, served pipping hot, and was delicious. I’d get it again. The Red Velvet cupcake is a little harder to review. At $ 3.25 for a regular, which is the size of a cupcake you’d make at home, I found it to be a little steep. The cupcake was certainly top-notch, so moist I thought it almost felt wet, but with Your Perfect Cake less than a mile away and offering their equally-as-delicious oversized cupcakes for $ 2.25(I called and asked, just to make sure) — Confection Connection will have a tough time competing at the price point of $ 5 for their oversized cupcake. That is, unless you look at it from the«boutique» price point. So, after two visits, I think Confection Connection really just has a hard time identifying itself to the public. You’ve got a place that does a lot of things well(lunch, desserts, shakes, yogurt… maybe?) but not well enough to help the public identify what makes you better that your competitors. In Greenville, a city oversaturated with restaurants, dessert eateries, and frozen yogurt shops, you need to define what you do or your business just mixes in with all the clutter.

Visiting my cousin and his wife this weekend in Greenville, we were trying to decide where to have breakfast on Sunday. They thought about this place because it’s have good french toast. Unfortunately though, they are closed on Sunday, bummer! So I decided I would try and go on Monday and check this place out. What is it with actual restaurants that stop serving breakfast around 11 or even 10:30. I’d love to go somewhere other than Waffle House or IHOP and have a nice sit-down breakfast. Unilocal is the way I go now to check out local places in the city I happen to be in at the time. So maybe it’s my fault that I wanted breakfast around noon on my chill weekend, but still. The décor was nothing too special. The banner above the checkout was nice. Since I couldn’t get breakfast I ordered a half Pastrami and Swiss. I wanted to maybe try something sweet too since it’s a bakery. They had Pecan Turtles that look like an actual turtle, super cute! They were $ 2.99 for one, I thought that was crazy. Also the lady at the register had never had one so she couldn’t say whether they were good or not. So needless to say that cute little turtle stayed right in the fridge display. When I got my half sandwich, my first thought was like, «really, what is this?»(see picture). I’m used to the thick pastrami that I can barely get my mouth around. The Swiss cheese was barely there too. However, to my surprise the sandwich was pretty good. I wanted more after I ate it. Granted I have had better Pastrami and Swiss sandwiched but this one was good. I would get it again. The sauce that was on it was really good. It came out super hot too, I had to let it cool off. So all in all my experience was okay. I definitely want to go back to try the French Toast. So stay tuned for that updated review. This time I’ll make sure to get there before they stop serving breakfast.

Very confusing place… I needed a quick fancy dessert to bring to a friend. I was willing to pay and anted something really special, Well… what better place than confection connection? Never having been there, I didn’t know what to expect. Well… I walked in and asked if there was any type of cake or pie that I could buy and take home immediately. No way. The girl looked at me like I had rocks in my head and said I had to order ahead. Ok… I then proceeded to say I needed a sweet dessert to take to a friends house for dessert. Again, no suggestions… I got a blank stare from the«nice» lady and so! In an attempt to figure this place out, I looked up to the«menu». Crazy! I saw soup and spaghetti. So, why confection connection? Is it because Olive Garden was taken? So with that, I ordered one pecan pie bar. When she said it would cost $ 5, I was amazed. Bottom line, it is expensive, confusing, bad customer service, and I won’t be back. I don’t care how good their chicken salad is for $ 18/pint or their $ 18/dozen cookies.

I stumbled onto this gem after a few recommendations from some friends. The owner and her husband are the most friendly and kind people and the hard work definitely shows in their sweet labor of love in each and every bite! The cake slices are big enough for several people to share and are the most moist, tender, delicious cakes I’ve ever tasted. My daughter’s favorite is the red velvet. I personally love the cream cheese pound cake. If you call ahead, they’ll save you a piece! The most popular cake I think that goes the quickest is the Banana Pudding Cake. It is so beautiful! I highly recommend liking their business on Facebook to get specials and keep up with what they’re doing. They have great catering options for breakfast and lunch and I love their soups and chicken salad. I’ve taken friends out for spaghetti Tuesdays and we loved that too! The cheese biscuits and cinnamon buns are amazing too! I try to go at least every three weeks when I’m in Greenville as I’m from out of town. I can’t say enough about this small business that offers Big Time quality, nice service and a casual, relaxed experience.

I have read some of the reviews and can’t believe it. This is by far the best bakery in Greenville. Cupcakes are moist, frosting is the best I have ever had. I like that she has other things than all the other businesses in Greenville. I love there turkey wrap. Confection connection uses high quality ingredients which shows and that’s why prices are higher than wal mart. I support small businesses. I love there spaghetti it is very good and chicken pastry. All her desserts are very good and I don’t mind paying a little extra. Thank you confection connection for bringing a little something different to the area. Oh your spagetti is not low quality. Yum !! Staff is very sweet and they appreciate my business. I will back!

Really good chicken and pastry, at least they don’t use that slimy Ann’s pastry everyone around here seems to love. Cakes are really good and cinnamon rolls are out of this world! Update: Everyone here is so nice and there is nothing here that isn’t good! You know it’s good when you’re in there and you meet other people that have tasted everything in the case! I swear, it’s the crack house of Greenville…

I do not understand this place, whatsoever. With a name like Confection Connection(and the logo as a cupcake), I would assume that they specialize in desserts and only desserts. But why were they serving things like low quality spaghetti, grilled cheese, chicken and pastry, and other junk food I can make when I get bored/hungry at home??? Any who, I didn’t bother ordering that stuff from there because I wanted to focus on the desserts. The atmosphere was pretty basic. No certain cutesy theme like the other dessert places in Greenville. Its more like a cross between a school cafeteria and dessert shop. They need to consider remodeling. There wasn’t much of a variety of desserts to choose from when I went. Highly disappointed. We purchased 1 chocolate covered cherry, some crunchy thing covered in pecans, a cupcake, a Naked drink, and whatever that thing is in my picture. The total price for all of this was somewhere around $ 25, which is completely ridiculous. Of course, when I’m forced to pay extra, Im going to raise my standards. Unfortunately, everything was BASIC! The cupcake wasn’t spectacular, the thing I ordered got unappetizing after the first bite, and the pecan crumble was okay(no more, no less). You can’t really screw up a chocolate covered cherry. The price for it was ridiculous though. Clearly, they over-charge for their mediocre desserts. Im not eating here again for sure. First and last time. The only reason this deserves at least 1 star is because of the lady behind the counter that took our order. She was pretty nice and patient.

The food here is great! but the service is unpredictable. One time i go here and i am their favorite customer, the next time, i am scum. I dont mean to sound extreme but that is exactly the way it is. Also i was looking for some cupcakes for an event and they wanted 77.00 for 2 dozen! They were just vanilla with vanilla frosting.

Ever seen Seinfeld? Remember The Soup Nazi? Well he has apparently opened a franchise under the name«Confection Connection,» right here in Greenville, NC! In true Soup Nazi fashion… food is delish. Desserts, are delectible. Chicken salad is out of this world. I’ve only eaten there about 3 times, and it has yet to disappoint in the taste department. Customer service is not so much. And by that, I mean consistantly terrible. And in case you’re sitting there thinking, «well maybe this reviewer is just one of those whiny type gals…» I have yet to find anyone who had a positive service experience there. Most recently, I stopped by to get food before going next door to paint some pottery. As I walked up, a guy at the open door pointed to a hand-written sign on the window stating that they would be closing early. I said, «Oh no! I was hoping to grab something.» He shook his head«no,» closed the door, and i heard the lock mechanism click. Alrighty then. The kicker is that about 20 minutes later, another woman walked into the pottery place with a to-go plate… from CC!?! She told us that she saw the sign on the door but she walked in anyways, they served her briskly, and then quickly locked the door behind her. Another time, a friend told me he stopped in for lunch. He asked the cashier if the owner was there(he knows her from around town). The cashier got his name, disappeared into the back, and returned with a frown, «she’s here, but sorry, she’s just too busy talk.» He was the only customer in the place at the time. Klassy move. Yet even at $ 18 a pint for chicken salad, like a glutton for punishment, I just keep I just keep coming back for more. It’s delicious. NO soup for YOU!!!
