This was the best place to eat in Greenville by far their pasta was excellent. The service was great a nice setting to the food. Waiting area is not the best, but they could easily add a couch to both of the sides of the small room you enter in. and move the hostesses desk next to the entrance. There bar is like any other bar except they just have a good bar in general

I started writing this review and it pissed me off so much, I am starting over. Greenville, NC does not have a lot of nice restaurants and after visiting Café Duo Restaurant, I still don’t think so. Father’s Day. We were greeted with«any reservations?», no hello, welcome, etc. We were seated, and the server asked for our beverage orders. No specials or anything. We might as well been at a chain restaurant. The server brings us our drinks and tells us she will not be our server, someone else will be waiting on us. Ok but you got my drink order wrong and you served my daughter’s Shirley Temple in a styrofoam cup. I could understand if she was 3 or 4 but she is 9. We ordered our food and I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. My wife’s Eggs Benedict were really cooked well and tasty. Now back to my order, which mind you was prepared almost perfect. Except for the fact that the tails were still on the shrimp and there were only five in the dish. It really needed at least one more shrimp for $ 17 and take off the dang tails. I do not want to eat them and I do not want to use my fingers to take them off. I may go back again but no time soon. If you want to separate yourself from«restaurant row» in Greenville you really need to step up your service. As a Foodservice professional these are the details my family is looking for. We have no problem spending money for great food and impeccable service, just give it to us! For the price of our brunch meal, it was not worth it, we were looking for a great experience.

One of the 3 best restaurants in Greenville. Locally owned, classy, fantastic fish and beef, wonderful sauces(I’m guessing the chef had French training). Totally amazing green beans and mashed potatoes. I have no idea how they can make those taste so good. Best Caesar salad too. They have homemade pasta sometimes and it’s great. Beef bourguignon is amazing. Brunch is OK, but dinner is great. It’s a small place and sometimes the staff is busy, but it’s worth it.

I was with a party of 6(3 couples) on New Years Eve. We had a 7:15 reservation and arrived just before this time. We promptly waited and waited and waited in the tiny entrance area while parties of 2 and 4 were constantly being sat. It is no exaggeration that over 15 groups were seated ahead of us. Members of my group talked to several staff members on multiple occasions but just kept being told it would only be a few more minutes. At 8:05 we were finally seated. I consider this horrendous service. Why have reservations if you are not going to meet them? To make matters worse, during this wait there were several 4 person tables that were empty and could easily have been put together for our group. When we were finally seated we were disgruntled and said something to the manager who’s remark was, «well your party was the only one that had to wait tonight.» That is not what a bunch of people want to hear who just stood waiting for nearly an hour! Our waiter then came and nearly immediately rushed away again without even giving us water. One very pregnant woman in our party nearly lost it at this point and rightfully so. Eventually, Chris I believe his name was, returned and took our orders. We then noted that he was nearly running from table to table. I’m not sure if they did not have enough staff or what but he worked his a** off and was a great waiter(the only reason I gave 1 star on this review). The food. Nothing spectacular. I had the duck breast which came with bland mashed potatoes and ordinary green beans. The duck had a nice sauce/glaze to it but again it lacked real flavor and creativity. This is the 3rd time I’ve been here(never because I chose this place) and every time I get these same feelings from the food; it’s just not that great. It’s average. After this recent experience, I will not return and could never recommend this establishment over other restaurants in Greenville. Hopefully the management learns from these mistakes.

This is the best brunch spot in Greenville. Everything was delicious, particularly the fresh baked bread. Our waitress was wonderful. They had run out of their brunch pastries so she went to the back and pulled out a beautiful loaf of bread that they serve with dinner and added it to our meal for free. My French toast was spectacular but my date had the broken egg sandwich and it was my favorite. Can’t wait to go again!

Didn’t get spoken to or seated for over five minutes. Once seated the waitress never came back and the other waitresses ignored us. We took our party of four elsewhere.
