The food is mediocre. And the service was terrible. It took over 30 minutes to get our food, the appetizer came out after the food. Another customer found a hair in the rice. I would not recommend.

Great Middle Eastern food! The location in a strip mall doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t be mislead. Service was good and the food was great. We missed the lunch buffet so I can’t comment on that but my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our food. We split a beef shewerma plate and Beteeni sampler. It was more than enough food for two of us. We will definitely be back — highly recommend!

Tried the lunch buffet. If you try it, be sure to go early. I went at 1 o’clock and many items were about gone. There was no replenishment of the line. When asked, they said the buffet ends at 2 and they were«winding down.» At almost $ 10 for lunch, they need to improve, or tell people who come in for the last hour, «What you see is what you get.» I won’t be back.

This place, set in a strip mall, could really use some improvements to the décor. Plain brown walls, bare wooden furniture and harsh fluorescent lighting do not make for a pleasant dining experience. The food was just so-so; chicken shawarma and hummus platter was bland and oily. The salad was fresh though, and falafel were not greasy. Better for lunch than for dinner.

We took the falafel and French fries. french fries were not good at all. Falafel had nothing special. I don’t recommand this place. Fortunately it was not expensive.

I order their gyros quite often and occasionally their chicken and lamb kabobs. I appreciate that some of their meat is halal! I’m very happy that Greenville has this restaurant. Their prices are a little bit expensive but I’m never dissapointed by the food. Editing to add that I recently ordered a chicken shwarma and was given not sliced roasted chicken as a true shwarma should be, instead I was given diced up chicken. I’m not sure if that was because they didn’t have roasted chicken that day or if this is the norm. Either way it shouldn’t be called a shwarma if it is not. Also, my husband ordered a gyro plate and was given nothing but gyro meat over a bed of rice! We ordered it as take out so we couldn’t ask for more ingredients but seriously? Come on, why is something so simple on your menu? We paid good money for nothing basically.

I called and ordered food to go. I ordered a gyro platter with fries and a side of taziki sauce. When I got home and opened my to go box they just slapped my taziki sauce everywhere. I started to eat and the food was just ok. I probably won’t eat there again. The good side of things, the girls that were working there were super friendly and on the ball. They deserve a raise just for keeping the restaurant going.

Most authentic and most delicious of middle eastern cuisine. Cant believe we found this place. Large portions of gyros. Had the sampler plate which was veggie and was more than enough for lunch. My new place for great experience.

Incrible food! I really enjoyed the taste of great home made food! We went there while they had a buffet, there was so many options to try. I recommend visiting this place if you are in Greenville!

Just ordered and ate lunch and I am very disappointed. The chicken schwarma sandwich was not what I am used to having. It had hard peices of overcooked meat and the pita was hard, as if it were stale. The fries were cold. considering never going again.

I would give this place 2.5 stars if possible. We got takeout and even though the place was dead the girls at the front acted like they didn’t want to be bothered. I’m confused by other reviews that said it was authentic… The chicken shawarma wrap description says it comes in a ‘pita wrap’. Its clearly a tortilla wrap… Where’s the pita? I was very disappointed once we got home and saw it.

Still not ready for the public. We went to try this place out today for lunch. We arrived around 11:45, and the place was already full. On our way to the table we noted that none of the other tables had their food yet. We sat down and waited for about 10 minutes and the server never came. They only had one server working for the whole restaurant. We ended up leaving without being served because we had to be back at work. I have talked to coworkers who have gotten take-out here, and they commented that the food was very good. Unfortunately I’ll have to wait to try it some other time. I think I’ll give them another month or so to get their act together. It’s a shame they were not ready for the opening, as that is the time that restaurants get the most business around here. Even a bad restaurant will be packed for the first few weeks while people try it out. They might be good cooks, but it looks like their business sense is lacking.

Giving them a «good faith» 3 star rating for now, because food was very good but service was really really really bad. if they get their act together(give it a couple months) they have the potential to be a local 5 star. Pros: Food was very good. Beef shawarma was oniony and pickles are a good addition. Note: the menu is not clear about this, but only the gyro comes with fries, there was some confusion about that when i received no side. hummus was good, but it was missing the pickles it said it had and it came with only 5 pita pieces which was enough to eat only half the hummus. Cons: currently they are going through some serious growing pains. service is pretty egregious, and the timing was so bad that i got mine to go after waiting an hour. Bateeni would be a great ethnic food addition to the hospital side of Greenville. Their food is on point, but they have to improve a lot(like, a LOT lot) operationally. Ordering to-go is looking like a good option until the machine runs more smoothly.

This restaurant has some growing to do — still pretty bare walls, uncoordinated new waitstaff, slow kitchen. However, the food was pretty great. We had the chicken shawarma and the Bateeni sampler. Both dishes were authentic, fresh, and tasted great! I would recommend giving it a try.

I was visiting my relatives in NC with my family and they mentioned a new Mediterranean restaurant that they went to and really liked. Being originally from Asia, I am used to eating very healthy food, so I did not pass up the opportunity to have dinner with my family at this restaurant. I work at a hospital in NY, where I have many Middle Eastern colleagues who frequently discuss how healthy Mediterranean food is. Me and my family went to Bateeni for dinner and they were quite busy, but surprisingly we were seated and our food was on our table in less than 20 minutes. I had a chicken shawarma, a plate of falafel, and a dip called hummus that was recommended to me by my relative, which I enjoyed very much. The food was delicious, the portions were of good size, and the price was fair. I would definitely come back to this restaurant next time I am in NC.
