Best live entertainment in town! If you love comedy and haven’t experienced live improv, you are missing out! You never know what you will see, but it is always great and hilarious. Greenville’s comedy scene has come a long way. Great place to visit if you are downtown!

Harrison Brookie from Alchemy came to Myrtle Beach to teach a one-day improv work shop and then did a one-man show in the evening. He is an extraordinary teacher and his show was dazzling. His work is an indication of the quality of comedy performed at Alchemy. If you are in beautiful Greenville, do not miss going to a show and/or take a class. If you are anywhere near Greenville, this is worth a drive and an overnight just to see a show or two.

Favorite place to be on the weekend! Solid quality comedy, really impressive for a city as small as Greenville.

Worst improv ever and I’ve been to a lot of improv theater shows. Walked out after 20min.

I came to my first show a year ago, and have been a returning fan ever since! Alchemy shows are consistently hilarious, and priced so affordably that I know I can bring friends, out-of-towners, or a hot date and be sure to have a great time.

I took the Improv 101 class here to help me be a better public speaker. I also wanted to get quicker thinking on my feet in front of an audience. I had a wonderful experience. I ended up taking the 101, 201, 301, and 401 classes. I highly recommend the courses for fun, to be a better presenter, to meet hilarious and supportive people in Greenville, and to(believe it or not) learn how to be funnier. Great, great, great!

I frequently conduct lay-led church services, and wanted to bring more adaptability and spontaneity to the services. I read a book about improv years ago, and was consciously trying to practice the improv principle of «yes and» in my conversations and relationships. When I heard about Alchemy’s improv classes, I knew I wanted to go. I have taken 101, 201, 301 and 401, and now perform with Alchemy about once a month. I even invited them to participate in a church service to demonstrate their creative affirming values. This is one of the most loving and supportive groups of people I have ever been associated with. Improv is a sandbox where you can play while practicing careful listening and close observation. And from the audience it’s just a lot of fun to watch.
