I don’t come here often. I have a Kenmore vacuum that requires me to buy bags and a HEPA filter here since it is a Sears brand. I went to Kmart last time since it was close to me, but it closed. So here I am. I checked their website to match the model number of my canister vacuum to find my filter and bag. They had several options in stock. Had no issues using the website. I also bought it online and picked up in store. It was ready for me as I arrived. I purchased my items about 20 minutes online before I arrived to the store. I didn’t know where to go in the store so I asked someone. They actually walked me to the area to pick up my stuff. Decent service. This said, I can’t really say much about the store itself other than what I saw and the two people I dealt with. It is two levels and like department stores in it’s class if you will.

Like many, I was once a serious Sears shopper. I bought almost everything there. That’s not possible anymore since their customer service has become nonexistent. Here’s just one example of many: My wife and I see a nice outdoor dining canopy in the store. We have a coupon for $ 150 off, but our coupon is only good for online purchases. No problem — we head home and order the canopy online. In a few days a call comes from the store wanting to arrange delivery. Sears tells me I must be at home for the item to be delivered. I take a half day off to be there at the arranged time but Sears doesn’t show. A call to their callback number gives me voice mail. A couple of days later the same thing happens, and then a third. Sears is a no-show each time with no reason given. In my last conversation I ask them where the canopy is so I can go get it myself. No one is able to tell me where it is, and the only thing I am told for certain is that it is no where close that I can go pick it up. With no real hope of getting it, I cancel my order and Sears seems as if they could care less. The strangest thing was that their reaction to each delivery problem I experienced was very tame, as if that’s their accepted way of doing business. Guess what it would take to get me to come back to Sears to shop? Nothing… nothing will get me back in that store. Whatever you need, someone else has it without the grief Sears interjects. Think seriously before you shop here.
