Burke Street Pizza

Burkes is a great authentic Italian restaurant. They have premium top Notch toppings and great sauce. My son basically gets subs and sandwiches. My wife loves their salads. And I am hooked on the pizza. And we can all agree on their garlic knots. In short, great place, friendly staff, and convenient location especially for those of us near the airport.

Absolutely love this place! It is one of our families favorites! Such yummy pizza and very affordable.

Great NY style slices. Fair prices. Nice employees. HUGE side salad… yummy! Seems like half of my corporation eats there on any given weekday.

This place has a great cheese pizza. It’s the closest thing to my old neighborhood pizza place in NYC. The sandwiches are okay, though I don’t get them very often. I like the pizza better than Mario’s on New Garden and Elizabeth’s on Battleground ave. Definitely recommend the pizza.

They started out good, but have been slowly going downhill. It seems. like they do not care anymore. We had garlic knots and ithey tasted like they were a day old and were burnt. The last pizza we got looked like they threw the box across the room all the cheese had slid to one side and it was not delivered.

Recently moved to town and have been on the hunt for great pizza. When my husband sent me a picture of his slices from his lunch I knew I needed it! If you like that NY style pie with robust sauce this is your spot! It seems like it must be a hidden gem! As a self proclaimed pizza god I have to give these guys 4 stars! They have done an amazing job with the pie! Only thing keeping them from a 5 the wind had an awesome flavor but are over cooked! Loved that why we’re crispy but were slightly over done! Overall, great work guys! We will be loyal!!!

A little pizza place tucked in beside the Food Lion at Fleming and Inman, but with huge slices! I thought Mario’s had big slices of pizza, but holy cow, these slices put theirs to shame. I ordered a slice of margarita pizza for $ 3 and they heated it up for me. I’ll admit, it wasn’t as good as Mario’s pizza, but it wasn’t bad either. The thin crust was crispy but the rest of the pizza was a little soggy, maybe because it had to be heated again. For a quick cheap lunch, I guess I would do it again if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat this pizza.

Thin crispy, which is my definition of a great pizza. I like the pizza because I love new York style pizza. It does need more sauce, but I always get mine to go, and dip it in pizza sauce when I get home. This place has the thinnest crispiest crust in Greensboro and I hope they stay around forever!

I gave Burke Street Pizza 2 chances to impress me before I wrote a review… and 3 Stars = A-​OK pretty much sums it up.
My first order was a Stromboli with sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and black olives. It was good — not great. A bit too doughy, and the crust lacked flavor & crispness.
My second order was a pizza ½ veggie ½ meatball, sausage, onion & mushroom. I will say that Burke Street does not skimp on toppings, and I really enjoyed the meatballs & sausage. The outer half of my pizza’s crust was just how I like thin crust pizza — crispy, without being tough; but the inner half was soggy and disappointing. If the whole crust had been crispy this would have been a 4 star review — because that outer half of my pizza was yummy.
At this price point, I am willing to give Burke Street 1 more chance to get in my good graces before I give up!

Why can’t you guys ever get the order correct? Our office spends a substantial sum of money collectively and the delivery driver comes with the food cold and was rude in an office full of females. Unacceptable. Taking my business lunches elsewhere, even for carry-​out only.

This place is hands down my favorite place to get a pizza in Greensboro! It tastes like real NY style pizza! We love the bacon cheeseburger pizza and the Mexican pizza. They both will melt in your mouth! They smell so amazing you will risk the burned mouth roof just to get it in your mouth while it’s steaming hot! The garlic knots and wings are great too, as well as sandwiches. It is great for dine in, carry out, and delivery. Their online ordering app makes ordering your pizza a breeze too. The staff are very courteous and fast. It is very clean too! I highly recommend this place!

We’ve ordered pizza here a lot over the last year, and unfortunately the quality has become very inconsistent. When it is good, it is very, very good, but you just never know any more what you’re gonna get.
Today was a perfect example — the pepperoni pizza with extra cheese was simply average, at best. The taste and texture were just not there, and this has happened more and more.
If I were to rate this place based on today’s pizza, it would be hard to squeeze out 2 stars — overall I’ll leave it a 3, for now.

Since I drive by here daily I decided to give it a try. My favorite has been Elizabeths for years and still is. However this pizza is damn good and can rival any place.
I will start by stating that you can order online and pick it up at a specific time. AWESOME! I chose to have it picked up at 5 pm and it was ready a few minutes before then. Great.
I ordered an 18 inch pepperoni. Excellent. The dough was chewy and somewhat tougher than I like. But it wasnt bad. Where this pizza really does it though is the toppings. When you order a topping, they top it for sure. They dont skimp and this was really impressive. I havent found anyone that can compare to this. The cheese was greasy and fell off the pie some but this is to be expected when you eat it while it is still hot. I like Elizabeths crust and cheese better but this place is tops on toppings and the amount of it. I would return here and its a good place.
My bill for the pizza was 19.12 with tax. Reasonable for this size. A great New York Style slice.
