This place could be way better. The ham, egg and cheese sounds good but its one of the worst egg sandwiches I’ve ever had. Every bodega in NYC makes a culinarily more astute egg sandwich than this rip off disaster. it just seems so easy to make soft scrambled eggs and put nice bentons ham and cheese in nice bread. Have you guys tasted theses sandwiches? I can’t imagine any human who’s ever had an egg sandwich before would taste this and say yea! lets serve that! and charge $ 7.50. Guys please, this is a nice looking place with tons of potential. Just take the egg sandwich please and make it better: 1) soft scramble 2) salt! way too much! thanks!

Cool little coffee shop about a block off of Greenpoint Ave. Not too much seating here. About eight or nine two seat tables. Some of the seating are benches which are comfortable. Big and tall Windows which is great on a sunny day. There’s a counter for orders in the back. Coffee and tea and a limited menu for breakfast and lunch. I had a egg and sausage and peppers on a breakfast roll. The sandwich was really good. Sausage and the peppers were cooked just right and tasted great. They also have juices and pastries as well.

The café has excellent food, a good selection of wares, and nice staff. Unfortunately, they skimp on the basic necessities of a café which are honey or brown sugar. Whenever I ask for honey they say that they have«run out». After 6 months you would think that they would order more or rethink their policy. It’s truly a shame that they can’t manage something so basic. It has gotten to the point where I won’t come because I won’t be able to have a good cup of tea.

We had an excellent kale salad here, but the lobster rolls were terrible. They tasted fishy and mushy and just plain weird. Greenpoint fish and lobster is a million times better – and Lobster Joint(on Manhattan) is a close second. LJ is much cheaper, for better taste and quality.

The chickpea sandwich here is great. Unfortunately, their delivery woman who brought it to me was super rude. Seamless told me my delivery would take 60 minutes, so I went out to walk my dog. Unfortunately, the delivery only took 20 minutes, so I was still out when they came. She *texted* me to tell me she was downstairs and I texted right back to say I would be right there. I was literally one block away. She texted back to say she was«leaving in two minutes.» I showed up less than one minute after that with an apologetic smile. She handed me my bag and said«Be home next time.» She had no other delivery bags with her. I checked my phone and she had waited no more than 3 minutes. Definitely ruined my lunch.

The extra star is for the coffee, which is La Colombe, however, they have recently downsized the small iced coffee. At $ 3.50 for a tiny cup, it is a joke. This place is all about charging you the most money for very little. The sandwiches are all bread and cost a small fortune. I got the chicken confit and I think it was something like $ 13. It was tiny! Very plain. I’d say it’s an $ 8 sandwich at best. I also think the tables are uncomfortable and small and wobbly. It’s almost like a joke restaurant or a set for a hipster T.V. show. Yeah, that’s it.

Short Rib sandwich and Chicken Confit sandwich are sublime. Would’ve given them 5 stars, but $ 13 for a sandwich almost always leaves me feeling a little guilty. Avocado Toast is a more affordable alternative and a great breakfast option! Wish this place had more seating… Otherwise, a great option in the neighborhood.

Not too impressed with this place. The sandwiches for lunch are quite expensive and a bit underwhelming. $ 6 for a very salty ham and egg sandwich wasn’t worth it. I’d have had a better lunch at a bodega for half that price and more substance and savory satisfaction. The bread is waaay too much. There wasn’t much i wanted on the menu and after trying there’s now nothing I want.

Wonderful short rib sandwich. My friends liked the sardine sandwich, shrimp roll, and lobster roll. Good music. Chill spot.

Very cute, bright place. They don’t really want you to stay because there’s absolutely no outlets anywhere to charge anything so it’s definitely more of a small restaurant vibe than it is a coffee spot. I didn’t not try any food, but the coffee was good. Seating is very tight. It’s filled with very cute, but overpriced home goods/New Englander clam cook out type of stuff.

Eh. I’ve been to Littleneck Outpost for coffee a few times, and it’s usually underwhelming and bland. And today was the first time I stayed for lunch also. Had a braised beef sandwich and a crab roll. The crab roll was decent, and I enjoyed the avocado twist. I likely won’t be back for it though, especially with Lobster Joint just a few blocks away and is way better. The braised beef sandwich was disappointing. It just wasn’t well braised or marinated or spiced. Beyond that, everything just seemed way overpriced. $ 50 for lunch isn’t cool. Cute place, but oh well.

I have spent a lot of time in Littleneck Outpost — it’s one of the most pleasant places in Greenpoint to sit for awhile, and their coffee is great(La Colombe). And their egg sandwiches are delicious. Because they are situated on a corner with big windows all around, they get some of the last sunlight in the neighborhood.

Way overpriced. I have had 3 things here: chickpea sandwich: good, avocado melt: gross, beet salad: small unfulfilling and way overpriced. I work around the corner and had high hopes for this place, what a disappointment.

I tried to eat seafood one last time. Lobster roll claimed to be good but it was so bland and undercooked. Who puts bacon in the clam chowder? Why didn’t the counter girl inform me of this?! I had to throw it out. What a waste of $ 55 drinks not even included. Two people hungry and poor decision in Greenpoint. Gross potato chips burnt and soggy under the sandwich rolls. Never again.

Coming from family raised on the Chesapeake Bay, and eating those crabs for breakfast, I’m gonna focus on their crab roll and not write about any of the other shitty seafood that they’re serving here since the crab pissed me off the most. Walked in and the place has that modern New Englandy thing going on with the addition of about fifty flies circling overhead. Amongst other things, we ordered the crab roll and I asked the girl at the counter what kind of crab they use for the«jumbo lump» Crab roll. She said Lump. Lump Crab. What the fuck is a Lump Crab? I asked again just to be clear but again, Lump. I was looking for an answer like Blue Crab or Jonah or even Dungeness but no. People working at a seafood restaurant should know what they’re serving and this responsibility ultimately falls on the owner/cooks. Educate your employees! When the roll came out it was clearly backfin, not Jumbo Lump or Lump. Backfin that costs them maybe 2 to 3 bucks a pound. Backfin with no flavor at all. That $ 15 crab roll was an absolute joke. To be honest, the state of seafood in NYC is pretty poor and this place fits right in. Shrimp roll was fucking pathetic as well. Four tiny shrimp with a ton of raw red onion covering it?! As a supposed seafood restaurant, you know not to drench seafood in raw red onions. It is way too strong of a flavor for seafood. Also, girl at the counter, lose the attitude.

One star is generous. This place is full of flies. It’s not the most appetizing environment to be serving food let alone seafood. Girlfriend who took our order claimed the crab roll was jumbo lump but we got a load of bland shredded backfin crab. The shrimp roll was loaded with raw red onion and 4 shrimps with a piece of shell on it. We walked out with my crab roll half eaten but figured the flies will clean it up. Overall, poor presentation, tiny portions, and poor quality coming from a supposedly New England seafood restaurant.

I’ve had their coffee a few times now, and it’s better than Starbucks, and WAY better than that place Homecoming across the street. However, if you order something, just look up at the ceiling. I foresee a health code violation in the very near future. I’ve seen less flies on a raccoon carcass. If they cleaned up and got rid of the flies, they’d be my go to coffee joint in GP.

As a Greenpoint resident, I’m thrilled to no longer have to travel to Gowanus for the best lobster roll in NYC, at the Littleneck Outpost’s parent location. Which, believe me, is always worth the trip. Out of curiosity, I went for the spicy shrimp roll this time which was just as outstanding. There’s something about the rolls they choose, really delicate and fresh with a hint of buttery flavor, just barely toasted to give the texture a nice crispy edge. Truly the best. This beautifully crafted boutique sandwich shop offers a charming New England atmosphere with nautical touches to relax by the bay windows and enjoy the elegant, peaceful vibe of the place while you eat. There are delicious artisinal snacks as well, and a well arrayed choice of drinks. The staff was cool and attentive, the crowd was stylish and well composed. I recently discovered they have a breakfast menu as well which sounds outstanding. So I’ll definitely be checking that out. I love the food here, and it’s a great neighborhood hang out spot. It’s also an excellent value for the top quality seafood that they offer. Can’t wait to go back!

I’m a fan of the Littleneck in Gowanus so I’ve been excited about this café opening up. I went in for a coffee and a Benton’s ham and egg sandwich — absolutely delicious. The ham was the most delicious, but the roll came a close second, and that’s saying a lot for a roll. It was a crusty, perfect roll. Seriously, don’t understimate this roll. Everyone in our quaint little hamlet of Greenpoint gets overly excited anytime anything new opens up, and then they usually ignore it if it doesn’t impress at first. This place is not a flash in the pan — it’s easy to see it’s going to be a neighborhood favorite. PS — there are healthy options like gluten-free granola and quinoa for your non-ham non-roll days. Also, the interior is small new England fishing town gone upscale clean and white, which sounds ridiculous but totally works here, and they have oyster knives, to-go relishes and packaged foods, a cookbook zine, sea salt candles and seaweed soap for sale.
