Awesome little joint where I came to do kareoke and met some of my new awesome friends and more new people! The owner, Wendy, was so welcoming and kind! Martin will set you up with drinks too!

I met up with some coworkers here after work. The place was really nice and clean. The owners were so nice and friendly-it’s a place where locals often visit. Even though it was my first visit, I felt like one of the regulars. I got so comfortable I even braved a Whitney Houston song on karaōke. Let m e just say… I CANTSING. But everyone joined in with me and gave me a big round of applause for my horrible rendition of ‘I wanna dance with somebody”. If you are looking for a good drink, nice place to unwind, and an awesome group of people to hang with – this is definitely it. My ONLY complain: I ordered the spud and felt the portion was smaller than I felt it should have been for the price. All in all, I enjoyed my evening at The Back Porch Grill and Tavern

Great service! Brisket nachos were fantastic! Burger was huge! Would come back here for happy hour and hear some live music.

Extremely cool local tavern and grill in Grapevile with a fun vibe and cool owners. A group of 8 of us came on a Thursday night as we needed some time away from the Gaylord Texan. It was karaōke night and the crowd was lively and diverse. The servers and bartenders were friendly and funny. It was an 80’s karaōke competition and the KJ did a good job or rotating between those signed up to sing. Wish they had a pool table here but there were darts and some board games. They do a great job and if you live in Grapevine or are staying at the Gaylord and need an escape this is a fun place to go and well worth your time. By the way, the bar prices here are insanely low in my opinion. Thank you Back Porch Grill and Tavern!

My brother invited my mom & my kids to The Back Porch for Sunday brunch… the food was excellent. The service was great too! If I were rating this place on food & service for brunch, I would give it 5 stars. The reason for the lower rating is this: there are very inappropriate pictures on the walls in the restaurant/bar area. My daughter needed to use the restroom before we left and the pictures on the wall in the restroom are EVENMOREINAPPROPRIATE. :/I would love to go back with my family to have brunch there, but we don’t enjoy looking at inappropriate images on the walls. Last week, a friend told me that he had a lunch meeting there & said the same thing. He said the food was great! But wouldn’t go back there for the same reason. I hope the Back Porch would reconsider their choice of «décor». If so, I will definitely be back!

I ate here on a Monday evening around 6:00 and didn’t have a wait which was nice because we had a large group. The atmosphere was typical of a bar and grill with pleasant décor and good lighting. They welcome children too. To start things off we were provided a new waitress. She was very nice and patient but needed a little help from her peers. So I ordered a bacon cheese burger with onion rings. It was pretty good, worthy of its price. It wasn’t memorable but still pretty tasty. I ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and was pretty disappointed. There didn’t seem to be much pickle or batter which in turn didn’t provide much flavor. The menu offered a wide variety of food which was great but everyone in my group shared the same consensus, the food was just good(meh) at best. Nonetheless we were still satisfied that they were able to accommodate us and provide great customer service. This place is just up the road from Great Wolf Lodge and the Gaylord Texan, which will provide you with a cheaper meal obviously minus the crowds and long waits if you’re staying there or if you’re visiting downtown Grapevine.

I’m here now, having brunch. It’s SO good and the service is top notch! Their Sunday brunch is served by a team of special needs people and it’s so much fun in here! The service was quick, my order was precise and I even got a hug! My husband got a high five. :) Everyone here is singing and clapping along with the music. I think I will be a new Sunday brunch regular! Everyone should come out between 10 – 2 on Sundays and support this great team! Plus the food is to die for. Yum! Also, I wish you could post videos to Unilocal, because there is simply no accurate way to describe the fun in this restaurant right now! Everyone is singing, dancing and clapping. This is by far the highlight of my week!

Came here to watch the live music, came early to eat one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time – the pork chop was over cooked and who in their mind would put chopped fresh tomatoes on a chop guess to cover up the over doneness, weak drinks and the good thing was the waitress was polite and on the ball

Not horrible, but nothing special either. Waitress was friendly and there seemed to be a lot of regulars.

Not what I was expecting at all! I went in for lunch on Saturday at 1PM and the place was 75% empty. There were 2 tables next to the bar full of seniors playing poker so it felt like we walked into a clubhouse and were interrupting. We stayed and received decent service and cold beer. The food was disappointing– the fries and tater tots were really dark like the oil was too cold so they had to stay in the fryer longer than normal. My sons club sandwich had wet bread that was greasy. My husbands wrap was the worst. Great location next to downtown Grapevine but we will not be back.

This is definitely a place with a lot of «regulars» but I don’t think I’ll become one anytime soon. I guessed this might be good for a quick lunch when I was in the area, and the food was alright. The burger was cooked over a grill and had a nice charcoal flavor, and fresh onion, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on top. The bun was not as great, just a generic hamburger bun you’d buy for a cheap cookout. Onion rings were thick and greasy. This place is a bar first and grill second, and you’ll get looks from the crowd as you wander in. The inside is a little like the living room at your uncle’s house, with a bar and tables. Not too nice but the beer must be cheap. Looking back, I felt like I was at a cookout at a neighbor I don’t really know, eating an ok burger in their living room, and wondering when it’d be polite to leave.

At the back porch now, at 9:56 I was told I can not order any food. This place is packed full with customers and they shut the kitchen down 5 minutes ago. Never got a last call, I’m hungry, and they’re open until at least midnight. Probably 2 am. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t plan on coming back. I’m here to see a band and they will not let me bring in any food either.

Group of four people came on a Saturday morning around 11 am. There was NOONE else in the place, so needless to say, the waiter was very attentive and the food came out relatively quickly. Food was pretty good. I got a BBQ spud and the three guys got a Brisket plate and they all said it was pretty good too.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick appetizer and drink while waiting for an event nearby. We received great service from Kristin. Staff was extremely friendly and the apps came out hot and tasted great! The brisket nachos were amazing!

Great live music. Excellent brisket. Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Smoke free. Place was packed with happy people! Friendly waitress. Plenty of free parking.

Very good chicken fried steak, very tender and fresh. I would like a little more seasoning in the batter but very good. The pinto beans were spicy, which I like. The service was very friendly and quick. This was a lunch visit and the noise level was very quiet with some country playing low. Also my favorite on noise. Another in the party had the bacon cheese burger and was very happy. The décor is a country and clean look. This is on my return list.

I worked here for like 3 or 4 shifts back in 2009. I just moved to Texas, and needed a job but desperately didn’t want to go back to serving. Needless to say this was the shortest outlived job I’ve worked. BUT the food while I was there was delicious! The vibe there is completely Texas and Country, which was a culture shock for sure for me coming from up North. They had specials and deals that were affordable to anyone. And everything I did try to eat while there was very delicious. It’s a low-key place with country music and nice friendly people. You should stop in if you are in the Grapevine area, especially if you want a change from the chain restaurants!
