This was excellent and fast service at a reasonable rate, and best of all good explanations of the work done I can understand.

Concourse does it again! Highly recommend to anyone who will listen! They take honesty to another level and they will save you money every chance they get!

Wow! Thought I needed an expensive repair, they ordered the part, then told me that I didn’t need the repair at all! How honest of them, I would never have known the difference — -they are my new mechanics for life!

I read about the gentleman and the lady in his apartment complex. I don’t understand. I used them for the first time this past week. I was thrilled with their service and price. They saved me over $ 600 by rebuilding a part rather than just purchasing a new one which really wasn’t necessary in this case. Toyota would not have done that.

I had the opportunity to experience this company’s «customer service» not too long ago.
A neighbor in my apartment complex, an elderly widow, had the alternator go out on her car,. The car was nothing special, a 2005 Dodge Neon. I offered to take care of it for her, but she decided she wanted to use a professional. She wanted to take it to Concourse since it was so close, and because she’d «heard nice things about them.»
We got enough of a charge on her battery to get her up there. I followed her up there to give her a ride home. I chose to wait for her in the parking lot, but after about 10 minutes I decided to go inside and check on her.
She was just this side of tears.
The reason she was so upset was the cost of the repairs. I don’t recall the exact amount, but it was in excess of $ 650.
$ 650.
For an alternator.
On a Neon.

Folks, switching out an alternator is not all that difficult to do. While the engine compartment in a Neon is kind of cramped it’s something that can be done at home, with no specialized tools. I swapped out her alternator for her in under 2 hours, using a $ 20 tool kit from Walmart and a $ 7 pry bar, including the time to go get the alternator. The alternator cost $ 70 plus tax.
Even at the higher end of acceptable labor costs, including the cost of the alternator, this shouldn’t have cost more than $ 300. Even Pep Boys, known for their high prices on automotive repairs, quoted her $ 400.
Concourse had the opportunity to gain a new customer, had they treated her properly. Instead they chose to try to rip off a little old lady. Make of that what you will.

I have been doing business with Jack and Jan Bowers at Concourse since 1986. I simply would never take my vehicles anywhere else. They have always taken good care of my needs. The workmanship and professionalism is the best it gets. Integrity, honesty, and quality… what else could I want from a business?
I cannot imagine why this other reviewer would give only one star to this great business establishment. I have been taking my cars to Jack for 25 years. I own a 21 year old vehicle that is maintained by Jack and his crew, and it still runs like new.
