It was okay. I am very picky about my food, especially Asian food. I noticed that folks who have never had teriyaki or think Americanized teriyaki is the«bomb», it’s okay. The phone was off the hook when we called to place an order for take out. Then we got there to order, the lady at the front counter was nice, but shocked that we placed a huge order. They were super fast, giving it a 4 star instead of 3 star. Besides that friendly works for me. However, the food was 50⁄50. Tempura was slightly chewy like it sat there, the sauce was ok. The beef had lots of fat and grissle(spelling?) and the chicken was good, the veggie striy fry spicy style wasn’t good, the fried rice was mooshy(tip is never use fresh hot rice for fried rice, always use cold). It made us made us wonder if some of the food is precooked and warmed when ordering. We ordered a lot of items, like 10 – 12. I enjoyed the kimchi, light, fresh, and alot. The thing was, it wasn’t spicy. The Chinese food was very mild and Americanized, but for the price and location, it’s not bad. However, locals love it here. I’m not trying to say otherwise, but that day wasn’t great. Will try again. :)

I was not super impressed with the food here. The service was good but the food not so much. All I had was a teriyaki chicken and rice bowl. Pretty simple. Not sure if I will eat there again.

Always wonderful food. Great service. Friendly people. My favorite teriyaki! Their chicken katsu is amazing and super good teriyaki. A regular go to spot

Second Teriyaki place we have tried in South Hill and our second huge disappointment. First danger sign, the cook was white! But my wife decided to take a chance anyway. Bad move! The chicken was burnt, rubbery and tasteless. The sauce was your run-of-the-mill sticky sweet gloppy mess. The fried rice was terrible. Completely un-seasoned and beyond bland! The egg rolls were the typical frozen bulk Costco variety. The wonton soup included two withered wontons in a basic chicken stock. The only reason they get one star was for the kimchi. For those not in the know, almost every Teriyaki joint in the South Sound is run by Koreans. This is usually a great thing. But we have NEVER been to a Teriyaki joint with a white cook. Epic fail! Not quite sure what these previous reviewers were smoking, but y’all need to get out more!

Great food, fast service. I stick with the teriyaki, which comes with either white or brown rice; served with veggies cooked just right so they still have a crunch, no sogginess. I don’t care for their sweet & sour chicken, but to each his own.

I come here every time I can in graham. It’s one of my favorite Places that doesn’t seem to plain. The food definitely gets my taste buds going. The customer service is receive is great, the lady at the register was able to take my order and multiple phone orders at the same time.

I love fried rice. I’m not picky when it comes to fried ice. If you like it really well done, I mean burnt, this fried rice is for you. Of you like your chicken dried out and veggies burned, you have found your heaven. I heard them in the back discussing chicken being over cooked and I guess they decided to keep cooking it and give it to me. Services wasn’t too lengthy an they do take out. Not too expensive though they should have redid mine.

Friendly service and huge portions. We ordered the Yakisoba beef, teriyaki spare ribs, chicken katsu, and egg rolls. All were great. I wasn’t too fond of the katsu sauce(spiced ketchup sauce), but the chicken part was great without it. I would definitely order from here again. The value is good for the amount of food. We barely put a dent in any of the dishes, and gave plenty left over. The food was ready in 15 minutes. It didn’t have an old taste to it, which was a pleasant surprise.

We love teriyaki but its always a dangerous game trying a new place. Other places I’ve felt ripped off but not at Sun’s. They have great spicy teriyaki chicken that always tastes fresh and the portions are big. This is THE go-to spot for great Teriyaki in graham/puyallup

After just moving here I was positive I wouldn’t find a good chicken breast teriyaki, but this place is fantastic!

Portions were generous and the food was good. The stir fried chicken and vegetables were in a sauce that was a lot like teriyaki, but it was nice that the dish wasn’t swimming in sauce like at some other places. Service was friendly and quick. We saw people come to order to-go and they were out the door with their food very quickly.

Meh. This is a 2 star restaurant by Graham standards, so given a more competitive area, it would probably score less. Its nice to have a Teriyaki restaurant in the hub of Graham social and night life, but its not that great. It definitely is better than Safeway, but compared to a lot of other teriyaki restaurants in the area, it doesn’t measure up. Depending on where you’re coming from and where you’re going to, it may be the only Teriyaki restaurant available. In that case, they serve large portions, are very friendly, and inexpensive. We had chicken yakisoba, gyoza, and a spicy chicken vegetable stir fry. The yakisoba and stir fry tasted very little like teriyaki fare. The noodles seemed to have been boiled rather than pan fried and seared. More like general meat and vegetable stews with a bit of soy sauce poured on the plate. If you’re more towards South Hill, Happy Bento is better(by the 160th Walmart). If you’re down in the Orting area, WaWa teriyaki or Modoo #3 are better options.

One word… YUM! This really is the best teriyaki place in Graham. We had the chicken teriyaki with gyoza and chicken fried rice. It was delicious! Definitely the best teriyaki.(but I think modoo on 176th has better gyoza)

If 4.5 stars were possible, that’s what I’d rate this place. The kimchee/kimchi that can be bought at Safeway and Walmart are TERRIBLE so I’ve been on the hunt for some decent kimchee around the area. My hunt is now over as I was really satisfied with the taste of the kimchee that they have here — it’s a cabbage and radish(daikon?) mix. You have to order it as a side dish for around $ 2 and I think they give you a really good amount for that price. I also ordered their chicken katsu and tempura combination — the katsu was good but the tempura threw me off a little. I ordered it thinking it would be shrimp tempura but it was actually a variety of things fried in tempura batter(i.e., broccoli, sweet potato slices, shrimp, and a few other items that I couldn’t identify). I’ll probably skip on the tempura next time. Overall, I’m thrilled with Sun’s because of their close proximity and kimchee. My family really likes their teriyaki but I have yet to try it.

very good teriyaki chicken, and excellent chicken yakisoba. service was decent its what you would expect out of a good to go Japanese joint. the cool thing is(for the guys) ace hardware is a couple of shops away so while your waiting for your food you can be looking at that new drill you wanted. i give suns a four out of five because they have a good menu, quality food, and service you would expect. keep calm ad chive on
