I just came here for my first time and ordered the Tropical Guava. So delicious! It was the perfect balance between creamy and fruity. I can’t wait to come back!

We get Blender’s 5 – 7 days per week. Usually we have an awesome experience. That’s not the case today. I waited patiently in the line that stretched out the door. Not a problem since it was a nice day. There were 4 guys working behind the counter. I placed my order for 2 drinks(1– Peanut Butter Chocolate No Banana Thick &2– Peanut Butter Chocolate No Banana Extra Peanut Butter) and waited. After a moderate wait time, my drinks were ready but my name wasn’t called. Then the customer behind me took one of my drinks thinking it was his. I did not know it was mine until one of the guys behind the counter said«that isn’t yours, it’s for Tanya». This was the first time my name was called. They proceeded to make me a new drink. After it was handed to me, I proceeded to drink it. It wasn’t what I ordered. It was extra chocolate, no peanut butter. When I told the guy behind the counter that, he said«it’s extra peanut butter.» I then asked him to remake the drink. After receiving my 2nd new drink, I realized that this drink was wrong too. It was my drink but with added strawberry. I made them aware of this as well and showed them how pink the drink was. They remade for a 3rd time and the gentleman who made the drink was slamming the blender cup on the counter several times in irritation or impatience. My drink was finally ready and the way I ordered it and I left. I got home a few minutes later and gave the other drink in my order to my daughter. She tasted it, three times, and said there’s banana in this… a lot of it. It didn’t occur to me to taste someone else’s drink to see if it was correct. I am really disappointed in our experience today. The drinks here aren’t free and we are an average American family that watches our budget. Blenders are our special treat and today they were ruined for us.

I LOVE Blenders. I honestly think it’s better than Jamba Juice! It’s very fresh and delicious. So many flavors to choose from and I’m pretty sure they’re all good. My favorites are the red orange, 50/50, and blue orange. Anything on the very left side of the menu. Wish they would open up locations in LA :(

Blenders has great options for smoothies, Fresh juices and bowls. Today I enjoyed an acai bowl that has banana, granola and honey for $ 6.50. Nice healthy choice!

Best smoothies ever! Definitely recommend the Red Mango! Great smoothie options for an affordable price and large portion size. Smoothies come quick and delicious every time. 10⁄10.

nope, blenders definitely wont make you slender but who cares, it is so delicious. drink now, regret later… I do recommend purchasing a plastic mug if you are a regular customer as the cup they provide is not really eco-friendly.

Update: Blenders seems to have improved in the last 12 months. The staff is always pleasant. The drinks there are delicious.

I have a love/hate relationship with Blender’s because I love smoothies and it’s the most convenient option, but it disappoints me more than half of the time. Three of my last five smoothies contained large ice chunks and were unpleasant to drink. Another, the Original, tasted like the banana was past its ripeness. And the fifth smoothie I had yesterday, the Blue Pomegranate, tasted saccharine and mostly artificial. I couldn’t even finish it. I had Greg W try it and he said it reminded him of the taste of the filling of a jelly donut. It was clear to me that though advertised as «pomegranate,» the smoothie is definitely not composed of pure pomegranate juice. I have found only one flavor that I like consistently, which is the Strawberry Colada.

I love Blenders but I’m not so sure about this particular location. The consistency of the drinks is off… maybe there’s too much grass in the blenders??? Blue Banana + Whey is my go-to drink, I would highly, highly recommend it.

Super friendly staff, super delicious smoothies! The tropical kale is a wonder. I have nothing bad to say, except that I’ll probably be broke soon because I spend all my money at Blenders. Love you guys!

I lived in the Santa Barbara area for 5 years and what I miss most other than SB’s gorgeous scenery is Blenders! I’ve tried so many flavors over the years but my favorites are Strawberry Colada, Blue Orange, Power Greens, and Apple Pie. Every time I pass by a Jamba Juice, I think about Blenders and how much I miss it.

Also come to one of these every time I’m in Santa Barbara. Now there are a dozen locations but it all started with three friends into endurance sports in 1994. This place is not akin to Jamba Juice, it’s very natural and healthy, you can taste the fruit junks. The boosts aren’t cheap products either so it’s more of a hippie smoothie shop than a fad. For all of this, it’s not cheap but it is well worth it.

Have yet to try one that wasn’t good. Also, this particular location happens to be the best one in town!

Definitely my go-to place. I go here during lunch breaks, after the dentist, after movies, when I’m heading to the beach, pretty much all the time. It is a Santa Barbara staple food. They also are reasonably priced too. I can get by during lunch with only $ 5 and feel satisfied. I absolutely love the textures of their smoothies; they almost seem to be thicker then places like Jamba Juice. They are super delicious and they have such a wide variety of smoothies. I usually get the red banana because I love how creamy it is, yet provides the perfect amount of fruit.

When I was in college, Blenders in the Grass was my go-to smoothie place, so when I was recently there for a little reunion with my college bffs, I hit up this Blenders over by our hotel. I tried an acai smoothie and ordered a shot of wheatgrass, both of which were delivered to me quickly and super fresh. The smoothie made me feel like a million bucks, the wheat grass shot went down easy and I got a taste of nostalgia that continued through a really lovely weekend. My only regret is that I didn’t get to try their acai bowls! They have those now and they sound heavenly: Organic Sambazon Acai blended up thick with strawberries, banana, and a splash of apple juice. Topped with granola, sliced bananas and a touch of honey. Well there’s always next time! Love UCSB, Love my smoothie memories and LOVE Blenders in the Grass! Unilocal 100 Challenge: 63⁄100

Growing up in Goleta, Blenders has always been THE smoothie shop. I had never heard of Jamba Juice until one moved in downtown Santa Barbara and out-of-towners were asking me if there was a Jamba nearby. I would always point them in the location of the nearest Blenders. They make amazing fruit, juice, yogurt, and ice cream smoothies. My favorites are the 50/50, the tropical mango, and the peanut butter chocolate. The prices have gone up during the last few years so when I came back from college and the price of the smoothie was close to $ 5 I was shocked, but what are you going to do? It’s worth treating yourself to every now and then. If you get the right smoothie, it’s not a bad healthy alternative to ice cream or donuts eh? Let’s just keep telling ourselves that.

Oh, the Red Pineapple is MYJAM! Pineapple juice, strawberries, banana, pineapple sherbet. Oh, yes. And if you need a pick-me-up, forget Starbucks, and get the Coffee: non-fat milk, coffee, ice milk. Deelish.

When I’m in town, I always have to stop at Blenders in the Grass. Although you can say it’s like Jamba Juice, it is nothing not like Jamba Juice. The ingredients are fresh & you can definitely taste the quality! While most blenders are milk based, those with a milk allergy can also substitute with soy milk. Although it’s a bit pricey it’s well worth it! Enjoy it on a hot day or a cold day, Blenders tastes good anytime of the year. While all the flavors are delicious, I always tend to gravitate towards the Blueberry Banana. Too bad we don’t have a Blenders in the Northern Bay Area!

I only wish Blenders had locations in Northern California. My short months in Santa Barbara allowed me to indulge in Blenders on a regular basis. Their smoothies are delicious and have something that Jamba Juice is missing. This particular location is staffed with young adults, most likely UCSB students who are always happy to help. My drink of choice: The coffee smoothie, a milk-based smoothie made from non-fat milk. The coffee smoothie is composed of non-fat milk, coffee, ice milk, and banana(optional). The smoothie is mouth watering and gives a boost of energy to your day. Blenders offers two sizes, twelve ounces and twenty-four onces at a reasonable price. Lastly, unlike other drinks, Blenders’ smoothies don’t feel like a high-calorie indulgence, but more of a health drink. A close look at their nutrition info proves their smoothies are low-calorie alternatives to Starbuck’s. Enjoy!
