I went here for happy hour and let me tell you this is a great place to go to! Glenside is a great area, I went here with a friend and she said that the KT was really nice and she was absolutely right. I cant wait to come in the summer because my friend said that the windows come up and its a great place to grab a drink and relax. To eat I had chicken tenders and this was on the special for happy hour and they came out so good and hot. I cant wait to take my boyfriend here and I also forgot there was a Keswick Theater and I cant wait to see a show of some sort. I will be back in no time and will have pictures up soon

Best food in the area. The nachos are the best I’ve had ANYWHERE! The chicken tenders tossed in buffalo wing sauce are great and crunchy.

Reserved a table for 6:15 on a Sunday. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. The place was packed with football fans and concert goers. Orders were taken and drinks delivered promptly. Tried Buffalo wings and a wedge salad to start. Hot wings were OUTSTANDING, plump and juicy with just the right amount of heat. Wedge salad was good, plenty of real bacon with so-so blue cheese dressing. Our main course featured 3 different burgers. All were cooked exactly to order. My «Bacon Blue» burger was quite good. Food was far superior to your typical bar fare. Wait staff did a great job, hustling and getting it done in a very crowded environment. The place could use some acoustic treatment to help reduce the loud crowd noise, but other than that, it was Terrific!(Make Sure You Get A Reservation If You Go On A Show Night)

Perfect place for a burger and a beer before a show at the Keswick Theatre. Interesting beer selections and the burgers are good. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.

I went to Keswick Tavern last week for dinner, and the burger was great! The grilled mushrooms are a good topping. The chips are crispy, and the side salad is a large portion and fresh-tasting. Overall, high quality pub food. However, I was especially excited, and surprised, by the many gluten-free options; there was a gluten free roll for the burger and the waitress was attentive to my food allergies and willing to ask the kitchen about anything on the menu if I had ingredient questions. It was a weekday night and not super crowded, but had a fun, pub-like atmosphere. I would definitely go back!

The way I see it, any restaurant/bar should have two top priorities: 1) good service and 2) good food. Now, I had been to Keswick Tavern a number of times previously, and had always experienced slow and generally poor service. So why did I return? Because they produced a decent burger… Emphasis on the past tense, because tonight, all of that was thrown out the window. To set the scene, it is a Monday night, not very crowded, as I and my boyfriend are seated by an open window. We decide we are not going to drink tonight, because we have work to do later and want to get to the gym. And we’ve been here before, so as soon as we are given menus, we place our orders: two burgers, one with fries, one with a side salad. Pretty simple, right? Well, we wait, and we wait, and we wait some more. After 30 + minutes of waiting, our waitress comes over and apologizes — apparently the kitchen is backed up. Can she get us anything while we wait? Hmm… like what? Not clear what she was thinking, as she didn’t offer us any appetizers or drinks. We did ask for one thing– we asked if the window beside us could be closed, because it had gotten very cold. The waitress replied that she would ask the bartender to put the window down. We waited some more, as we watched a table of two, seated well after us, get their food order: nachos and — a burger. We wait for the waitress to come by and we stand up, telling her we are leaving. She stammers: «I’ll go back right now and check on your order.» Shockingly, she walks to our table with our entire order in hand — just in time, right? She assures us the other table’s order was put in at the same time as ours(which is impossible, unless she waited 10 – 15 minutes to put our ticket in). Anyway, we sit down, begrudgingly, hungrily, and decide to at least enjoy the food. Sadly, however, that was too much to ask. I go for a fry– cold and soggy. And then I touch the burger… a cold, dense, grey piece of rubber(I had ordered it at a ‘medium’ temperature). We stand up, call over our waitress, and tell her we can’t eat this(food? not sure what to call it). She continues to lie to our faces, claiming that everyone’s orders were backed up. Ultimately, we left, after an hour of waiting in the cold(the window was never closed) and without food. I must add that we then walked over to Queen Sushi — our orders were taken, we were provided with beautiful and delicious sushi(which I believe requires a bit more skill than burgers), and we were out of the restaurant in under 30 minutes. The difference is night and day. If you don’t mind being lied to by your servers, being made to wait endlessly, and being served crap food, go on over to Keswick Tavern.

Good wings — I usually get Cajun dry rub. Love that they have done vegetarian options ’ both veggie sandwiches are great. Noisy when it’s busy, but hey, it’s a bar. Back room is quieter. Main problem is slow service. Overall fun place, especially when it’s nice enough that they open the windows.

The KT is a pretty well established bar and restaurant located across from the Keswick Theater. Large selection of popular and craft beers and a good selection of spirits. The bartenders are generally pretty friendly but are usually very busy so don’t expect them to ask how was your day. Best times to go there are in the afternoon and later in the evening. The college crowd tends to swamp the place between 7 and 10:30 so we rub elbows with the superficially aggressive newcomers to adulthood. Before and after then however it’s a great place to hang out. I’m looking forward to seeing a larger selection of single malts(Lagavulin is on order I understand) and they’re working hard at upping the ante in the kitchen so it’s an establishment keen on constantly improving.

Never had a bad time at the KT. The food has always been good and our bartenders are always very attentive and entertaining. I would recommend the crab mac & cheese or the buffalo chicken dip

Decided to come here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Not really all that crowded since it was pouring buckets outside. After sitting for a few minutes, out server came up and asked if we wanted drinks. The beer list is pretty stacked for a corner bar, including a gluten-free beer as well. As an entrée I ordered a burger medium well. When it came to the table it looked good. Since it was a larger burger, I cut it in half. Blood runs all over the plate. I attempt to flag a waitress down, but was put off for several attempts. There was a smaller sized party in the back room which they were not prepared for, either understaffed or impromptu. When I did finally flag down a server, I told her about my undercooked food and she seemed polite enough. She took it back and came back a few minutes later. When she returned, I was given a scalding hot plate of my previous burger, microwaved. Molten to the core, what I could manage to chew was rubber and dry. It was like they didn’t even try. Needless to say, if you want a good burger there either order it medium rare or well done.

BEST experience I have ever had at the KT on 6÷14÷2015. John, our server, was amazing. Really awesome. The food was awesome as well. I was sooooo happy we went. Great job guys! Keep up the great work. BTW the burgers are amazing. Thanks again!

I’ve been to Keswick Tavern a number of times, and my experience has always been good to great. The atmosphere is great. They have a decent menu with lots of different options and a good beer selection. Every time I’ve been, I’ve been able to sample beers, which is always appreciated. I’ve never had food there that was disappointing. Everything always comes out hot and fresh! Some of the waiters are better than others, but that has been my experience anywhere. My most recent visit was for an early dinner with a larger group. We were sat immediately and our server was attentive, but not overbearing. Our drinks came out quickly and the food wasn’t far behind. Everyone loved what they ordered. Best fries with cheese that I’ve ever had! The bar can get very crowded right before or after a show at the theater across the street. During these times, the wait staff definitely accommodates the patrons who are rushing out to make get to the show on time. I’ve waited about 15 minutes to even order drinks before, but that that has been a rare occasion. Definitely hasn’t stopped me from going back!

One of the worst bar experiences of my life! First off, the bartenders are DEPLORABLE! They are extremely rude and have ZERO sense of urgency. Secondly, you can barely move in that place! Just the worse!

Great food. Went in for brunch and it was great. Only thing is the waitress never came by again while we really wanted another drink. Would definitely come again though! Good atmosphere

First time being there and it looked nice. Better than wet whistle and maybe drakes. We didn’t have to wait and we got a corner booth. First the waiter came and wanted to take our order but we weren’t ready so we needed more time to decide. She ended up coming like 20 minutes later and responded in a way that she forgot about us. I ended up ordering a north shore turkey burger and then waitress came back saying she ran out of turkey burgers and proceeded to ask me if i was a vegetarian which did not make sense. i ended up ordering the voodoo chicken sandwich instead. The wait for the food was like 25 minutes that seemed forever. I took a bite out of the chicken sandwich and it was hard and stringy. It was hard to take a bite and enjoy the food. Halfway through the meal a cockroach was crawling near my head. I was appalled and we talked to the manager. He only ended up taking 50% off which shouldve been comped! never coming back again. if i could give no stars i would!

I wish I had better things to say about this place. We have been here many times due to the proximity from where we live. The food is terrible — we have experienced it undercooked, overcooked, cold and soggy. This place needs to stop serving food before someone gets really sick. The servers are just as bad as the quality of food — even when it is quiet. The last time we went we had to wait 15 mins after finishing our food and drinks before getting the check. We would have had more drinks but didn’t feel like it by the time our server showed her face again. After getting the check we had to wait another 15 mins before she came back for our payment. This place could be amazing but right now the owners need to sort a lot out — I get the feeling that they don’t care. The management seem to prefer watching the TV screens than making sure customers are taken care of. If anyone from KT are reading this, please do something after the terrible service and food — you could try and contact Jon Taffer because this place needs to be rescued quickly! On the plus side KT has a great beer selection and if you only want a drink, give it a go, just make sure you get a bottled beer because most of the drafts taste stale and dirty!

They made some really nice updates and got rid of the projector screen. The burgers also taste better so the food and the ambiance have improved since my last review.

Undecided on how to review this place really. Would never come here on the weekends because I don’t like crowds of people my own age. Any time my father or aunts/uncles etc come to visit me, I take them here if it’s midday/weeknight. The food is pretty good(overpriced, but not if I’m desperate for something«cool» within walking distance to take family to). The waitstaff is hit or miss, I think mostly because they are busy. Management always comes over at least once though, which I appreciate. I do like the vibe of this place though, reminds me of one of my favorite bar-restaurants back home. My go to place for awkward lunches with family when you don’t want them to think you live off of diner food or cereal.

This place is really nice in terms of atmosphere. And the food is unique and has its own twist. We ordered the mozzarella and tijuana chicken sandwich. The mozzarella comes in four little patties instead of sticks. The tijuana chicken sandwich has salsa, avocado and sweet pepper, and the flavors all work out really nice, not a big fan of the bun though. Service at the table was great, but when we first come from the back door and were directed to the front door to be seated, the host appeared confused and didn’t recognized us as guests…

My little sister goes to school at Arcadia University, today I went to her visit her and wanted to take her to lunch. The restaurant options near Arcadia are far and few between. She suggested the Keswick Tavern, so we went there. The surrounding area is pretty nice, has a small town vibe. We walked into KT and it was fairly empty, there was no one there to greet you, and you seat yourself. There is a bar in the center, high top tables surrounding that, and a few booths. The outside walls are actually garage doors, and they open them up when the weather is nice. The one wall is covered in chalk board paint and they write specials on there. Large TVs are placed all over the bar, and some of the booths have private TVs. The only waitress brought us menus pretty quickly. The menu was limited, but standard for a bar. The menu was surprisingly expensive, and you could replace your standard chips for french fries for $ 2. I quickly selected the Blue Bacon Burger and wings to share. but had to wait some time– as the waitress forgot about us. The bartender eventually came over and took our order. We waited about 20 minutes for food, I was surprised at the long wait time considering KT was not crowded. The burger was delicious, and so were the wings. The fries were not worth the $ 2 upgrade fee– the quantity and quality was not up to par. They have live music every Thursday, and an all you can eat wing night on Tuesdays. It seems like it would be a fun place to go for a night out for drinks at a bar, but I would skip it for lunch.
