Do NOT come here for the sushi. WORSTQUALITYSUSHIOFMYLIFE… and I’m not even a high maintenance sushi connoisseur. I came in with low expections. You probably won’t die from eating it, and it is edible, but right after my first bite I knew right away that the quality of their fish was NOT fresh… it just tasted fake or something. Bad enough that i want to gather everyone who thinks this place is good and feed them real sushi so they know what they’re missing out on! And the thing is… THEPRICE! You’re NOT getting a deal at all in regards to sushi… you have no reason to come here! Just go to your local sushi joint and for the same price you will get EXCEPTIONALLY better sushi. I had the 3 hand roll combo(I chose Philly, Salmon, and Spicy Tuna). They put an overwhelming amount of sprouts in there that overpowered any taste of raw fish. LETSJUSTSAY I WASHAPPYTHATITCAMEWITH A SIDEOFORIENTALSALADWHICHWASTHESAVINGGRACEOFMYMEALAND373287x BETTERTHANTHESUSHI. TL;DR — if you have any respect for sushi DONOTGETITHERE! you will be extremely disappointed. Literally get anything else but their sushi

The food was delicious, and the ladies at the counter were polite and friendly. I’m a vegetarian, and it was easy to find delicious meals here the place is clean, and it was clean. I’ll definitely be returning

Great food but bad customer service. If you order out check your order before you leave. They tend to make mistakes on their orders.

Having tried both the San Sai in Pasadena and in Glendora, I can say that in terms of food quality both locations are pretty consistent. I do like this location a little bit more because it’s cleaner, less crowded, more options than the regular San Sai menu(ex. baked salmon roll, weekday specials etc), and most importantly, they never forget put mandarin on top my oriental salad! There’s one guy who doesn’t wear the uniform like rest of workers there, so I am assuming he’s the manager. He is always very nice every time and professional, and never forget to ask if we need extra condiments or utensils. There was one time when I got the wrong item in a to-go order and after I called, he told me he will give a free credit next time I go back(which he did!). Usually the workers who prepare the take-out orders are a lot nicer than the cashiers, who seem to be spacing out or annoyed if you ask them questions about the food. The only real downside is the wait time, but then again, every San Sai I’ve been to has longer wait time than normal fast food because it tastes better and more fresh. Overall, the quality of food and service is good and this is always a spot I’d visit again.

Covina isn’t the place to get the healthiest meal when you’re on the go. Still, I wasn’t willing to drive 15 – 20 miles to get it. So I drove to SanSai, since it’s the«healthier» option in this city. I told the cashier, Justine, my ideal meal. She suggested that I ordered the chicken breast plate with steamed vegetables. When I received my order, the caller put the teriyaki sauce on the side. HONESTLY. I love coming to this place. Being a regular has its perks. Nonetheless, the employees’ thoughtfulness and suggestions were examples of outstanding customer service. I really appreciate them taking the next step to meet my dietary needs. Highly recommend this location! :)

We had dinner for the first two this past Saturday and we were very disappointed. I ordered the chicken bowl combo & my husband ordered the chicken curry bowl. We waited at least 20 minutes for our food and they were not super busy at the time we ordered. My chicken teriyaki bowl was just okay. Nothing to get excited about, my husband’s curry bowl was just awful. They heated up the curry in a styrofoam container in the microwave. It was too hot so it burned a hole in the container & the curry was dripping out of it & what was left in the container had clumped up. We asked for fresh curry & they were just going to reheat some more curry in a styrofoam container in the microwave again! They said that is how they heat up their curry. For a company that prides itself on being«healthy», it’s not. We will not go back.

Overpriced food is tolerable but the staff is NOT. Especially the cashier, who was very rude and condescending-not hospitable at all! No «please», «thank you» or anything considered polite. After a half hour, my food still hadn’t come out even though more than 3 parties behind me had received theirs. I didn’t even receive an apology. Will avoid this place in the future.

I usually go to the Rancho Cucamonga San Sai so I decided to give this one a try. The service here was good but the menu and food itself needs improvement. The California rolls we ordered we hard and did not seem fresh, neither did the rice that was packaged. The terriyaki chicken and salads were good. The menu did not have as many options nor did they have the happy hour discount the Rancho location offers. I wont be back since there are better Japanese options for the same price.

Went here for lunch, sumi salad is the same as Chinese chicken salad but better, very refreshing! It is a fast food where you go up and order, pay and then go get your food when they call your number. I also tried the chicken bowl. It was good or average. The place was crowded so I am assuming that people like it here. I thought it was good but I make Chinese chicken salad a lot and felt the dressing was s little sweet. It was good not real special…

Very poor customer service by this employee. Was told they weren’t open then took the next person walking through the door when I was clearly first.

Worst service at a sansai ever! the cashier girl(latina looking chick kinda fat) was rude by responding to me like if I was stupid, so unprofessional. If your miserable quit! When I asked for soy sauce she response with«didn’t you see it on the table?» Ugh she was plain rude even when I was order my meal! I said ok thanks & she rolls her eyes! Dumb bitch! Fatass working minimum wage! Food took a bit long to receive. Sushi was bland I had the shrimp crunch roll which I didn’t know carrots were in it though that was weird, not fresh at all My aunt had the spicy teriyaki chicken which was cold when she recived it Won’t be back! Overpriced, rude service, horrible food !

Friends of ours live near this restaurant. I ordered chicken with a California roll with 2 salads and Iced Tea. My wife had the Chicken Bowl. Both meals were great! I ate mine with chop sticks and my wife used a fork. Location: near the AMC movie house, Subway, and a Yogurt shop and across the way from the Old Navy Store.

I Love Love this San Sai location! If I could I would give it 10 s t a r s or more . Ultimately my favorite place and I can never get enough! I’ve been to all the San Sai locations and honestly this particular one is just the best one. The food is just delicious and fresh not like the other locations. Actually the other locations shouldn’t be called San Sai, they are making the right one look horrible!(Actually the one in Pasadena is pretty darn delicious aswell) I normally get the chicken breast plate with brown rice with my two sides of oriental and sumi salad and sometimes i get yakisoba noodles on the side. I also ofcourse i sprinkle some Sriracha sauce on my meat or shrimp! Yummy to my tummy No Doubt(:

Worst Japanese food I’ve ever had. Tempura was greasy and heavy. I have never in my entire life thrown away shrimp tempura, but today I did. The rice was mushy, even my kids who love rice with a passion asked me what was wrong with it. I left very disappointed

The Asian guy who is in the front is soooo nice and professional. The food is always fresh and what I enjoy. But the Hispanic chick that wears a bun who dishes out the orders, always has a frown on her face, and I always order the sumi salad and sushi, this time just the salad. And she let my order sit there, with no one in front of me, and the guy who is always nice, just did it himself for me. When I thanked him, she cut her eyes at me. And with Unilocal around, I’m surprised that people will still give bad service.

Good for a fast sushi fix. Best deal is the 3 handroll combo with miso soup and choice of salad. The rolls are fairly large with choices of spicy tuna, shrimp, eel, salmon, tilapia, California roll, etc. All for $ 10.89.

We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. Service was quick, and they had some good«daily specials» available, but the main thing that we didn’t like was the dirty table tops. We had to get napkins and clean the table off ourselves. I had their udon with California rolls and tempura special. The udon was good. California rolls were a little messy, but what do you expect from a fast food type of Japanese restaurant. The tempura was fine, just slightly under battered and cooked. So it’s not a bad bang for your buck, but they could use a slight improvement.

Fast food sushi in Glendora in the shopping center that has an AMC theater, Old Navy, Best Buy, Corner Bakery and one of my favorite places: Robeks. This shopping center is super busy all the time so good luck finding parking. Once you do find it, walk on over to SanSai. It is right next door to Zpizza and that Friday night I couldn’t decided if I wanted to give pizza a go or grab some Japanese food. Decided to try this place out and give it a go. The place is pretty big in the inside, plenty of seats and to my surprise it was pretty busy in there too. The cashier was really patient and happy to answer all our questions. I decided to order their spicy tuna rolls with the bowl of udon special that was about $ 8. Walked on over to a table and took a seat. I was sitting right across from their salad station and I honestly loved that there was plenty of ice to keep the salad cool. The staff is on top of things and well organized. The table we sat at was clean and their customer service is really great! It did take a few minutes for our food to come out so even though it’s sort of considered fast food, it’s not so fast. We had took our order to go. As for the quality and taste of the food, it’s alright. The sushi itself was decent and fresh. The udon though wasn’t the best. The soup is a bit bland, I wouldn’t order the udon again.
