Love coming to this place with my mom for mimosas and breakfast, chicken sausage is the best and delicious mimosas. Erika was an amazing server as well as the floor manager that checks up on all the tables. Brought gf here a few weeks ago too. We loooove the staff and the food!!! Yay

My favorite place to meet and eat in Glendora. Your tastebuds jet straight to Sicily and it becomes obvious within the first bite that the ingredients are the finest, imported from Italy. I never have to find myself apologizing to a guest that it was better last time. Consistently killin’ it! If you’re a coffee lover, please indulge. Pastas, truffle burgers, unique and delicious appetizers. There’s only one thing to do: try everything!

4.5 Stars LucaBella(which is named after the owners children) took over the spot where Parlour Wine Bar & Bistro once was. It has proved to be a great addition to the area. My husband and I used to walk our dogs here when we lived close by. I haven’t been back here in over 3 years and it was my first time dining here. They are located on the east side of Glendora Ave at the Martindale Executive Center. There is street parking or you can park in the parking lots a bit south. They have both indoor and patio seating. The outdoor seating area is dog friendly. There were two well behaved standard sized poodles at the table next to us. My friends from work and I came here for lunch last Friday and sat outdoors. Everything on their lunch menu sounded so good. The special of the day was a turkey burger too. Ultimately, I ended up getting the Mediterranean Salad with chicken. Two people in our party got the ½ Sandwich and ½ Salad option and one person ordered The Luxe Burger. One of my friends ordered the Grilled Vegetable Panini and wanted to add chicken, however they forgot to add the chicken so we had to tell our server. We all decided to order dessert and well and we each got a slice of the Torta della Nonna(lemon tart) which was $ 7.00 per slice. It was not as tart as I was expecting and the crust on it was heavenly. Unfortunately, they were out of Tiramisu the day we came. To me, the entire experience was nearly flawless(service & food) and I would love to come back again soon. Note that you can also find them at The Walker House in San Dimas.(My husband and I have eaten at the Walker House before prior to LucaBella taking over so I have to make another reservation there soon.) 68⁄100 Reviews for 2016

I have had breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner here more than once. I like the bruschetta, and I thoroughly like the brunch where you can have their french toast with the corn flake crust and the bellini-a peach and champagne mimosa type of drink. My family likes the blueberry pancakes. My favorite thing they do is their fried chicken – I wish they had it more than just on Sundays. It is the best around! I do add a bit of salt, but I don’t mind – you can always add it. It is crunchy on the outside and so moist on the inside. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Nice little local gem here in Glendora. Been here a couple of times for dinner, and the food is great. I’m a sucker for fresh pasta dishes and sauces, and this place nails it. The Cavatelli is my favorite pasta dish here, and prob one of my favorite pasta dishes anywhere. The pasta itself has a perfect al dente chew, the sausage has great flavor, and the white wine truffle sauce is just heaven. Def not the lightest of pastas but it is sooooo. Sooo. Good. The servings are also pretty big considering that it’s pretty decently priced in my opinion, without compromising flavor or quality! Haven’t had a dish I didn’t like here. Great tasting wines too!

All that is lacking for 5 Stars would be some noise control. The restaurant is quite noisy with no carpeting or sound deadening. That said, the food and service were 5 Stars; four of us lunched there today — I had the Luxe Burger, two others had the barbecue pork belly, and one ordered the chicken panini. These were not inexpensive, but came with excellent fries(more than we could eat). The iced tea was kept full and lots of attention paid to us. Our server, Dena, was outstanding! Again, a conversation could not really be had without shouting at each other, probably ok for a casual lunch, but I doubt any business talk could be effective.

Glendora’s BEST restaurant in my books! I think I’ve eaten here a couple dozen times, because the food is just THATGOOD. The owner is almost always present, and the staff are excellent. My recommendations: — Cheese board(A MUST) — Red Sangria — Brunch: Eggs Benny — Dinner: Sea Bass over Risotto(BESTTHINGEVER)

We Unilocaled this place to try something new. We like it a lot. Our waitress was nice and attentive. It isn’t your typical Olive Garden or Mama Petrillo’s place. It has a small menu from skirt steak to salad to roasted beets. But it’s good and the food presentation is nice. I like the brick interior look. (FYI — meatball appetizers were SUPERSALTY !)

Amazing food in sleepy Glendora Village! High quality, flavorful, with outstanding service. Our waiter Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive while the manager Gabbie connected with us twice to make certain our dining experience was memorable. And it WAS in the most positive way imaginable. I had the special which was a pasta made with shrimp and scallops in a lemon butter sauce while my date had the bacon cheese burger on the regular menu. I’ve never been much for burgers but this one was GOOD and the special was outstanding. My new favorite restaurant in this little foothill city!

Just had a not acceptable experience here from the manager. The 2 stars are for the food because the service was awful. Only one server for the whole restaurant so the manager took our order. As we sat with empty tea glasses being ignored and people around us who ordered after us were getting their food my friend said I wonder if she forgot to put our order in? I walked up to her and politely asked did you put our order in, her reply was yes you ordered well done and it takes a long time. I asked could we have more tea please? She brought us tea slammed down our glasses and walked away, she never looked at us again. Maybe you should consider a new manager cause she certainly doesn’t like her job.

We had lunch here hoping to try out their breakfast, but we missed it. So I had the hanger steak sandwich and I added a over easy egg; it was delicious. My wife had a chicken ciabatta sandwich w roasted peppers and goat cheese and it was amazingly good. I think it was a little better than mine, and that’s saying a lot since I love meat!

Service was great. Wine was great. Presentation was good. Arancini, which no one has, was really good. Olives were yummy! But the Dinner was so salty it just ruined everything. I had the Osso Buco. Everything was over salted. I didn’t even touch the spinach it was so salty. The burger with an egg was Greasy and salty. The yoke was hard. Fries were over salted. We really wanted to like this place and the environment was great, but when I we spend $ 34 for one plate and over $ 100 for dinner, we except more. The chef needs to tone down the salt. I don’t know that I will go back. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want anyone to thing we wanted something for free, which was not the case. I don’t know that I can go back it was that salty. Whole rest of the night was ruined because of the gross taste it left in my mouth. #disappointed

Terrible food on a fixed menu for Valentines Day. We have a party of 4. The food is totally microwaved. Very disappointed. One star is for the rose that we got after dinner. Otherwise it would be a one star restaurant. This restaurant is Off our dining list. The wine pair is terrible too.

Let me preface by saying I’ve been to the Luca Bella in downtown about… a lot of times. Obviously, I wouldn’t go back if the food wasn’t amazing. DINNER: The first time we tried it, the restaurant had just moved from its small location next to Albertson’s, where it had done primarily catering. They still do, but I won’t be reviewing that today, just the brunch and dinner services. The menus were paper, slim, with the wine and beer list attached with a tiny clothespin… Which was impossible to get back on and generally very messy to deal with.(The menu has since changed into a more sturdy and tangible version of the original.) The contents of the menu were quite good, with 5 – 6 appetizers, 4 salads, 4 pastas, and 4 entrée items, as well as a pasta and entrée special. The execution of every plate I’ve had there has been flawless. Steak is always evenly cooked, chicken properly tender but crispy on the outside, fish never dry, polenta, potato purée and risotto always done to perfection; in addition to that, I’m always grateful that they pair their entrees with fresh market vegetables that haven’t been horribly maimed. The pastas were generally good; fresh pappadella with braised short rib ragu was a bit dense but wonderfully delicious, same story with their porcini and white sauce. Their other tomato-based sauces have teetered on the edge of being too sweet and cream-based for my liking, almost like they had transformed a tomato bisque into a pasta sauce. However, the pasta itself is always perfect. Like other reviewers have noted, the service can be quite slow, which particularly inexcusable at times when the restaurant is mostly empty. The waitstaff is hit-or-miss, with several wonderful people and some horribly clueless ones. For a restaurant that wants to be at a certain level(and charge a certain amount), the waitstaff has to have tried all of the food on the menu and must be familiar with all the ingredients and names– at the very least. Reducing wait times would do wonders, and could be facilitated by moving towards a more prix fixe style menu which would allow for easier prep. SPEAKINGOFWHICH! Recently the restaurant had a special promotion/upcoming event for Valentine’s Day on their tables, and whoever the contracted to make the little poster had a very poor sense of design skill, mixing typefaces, alignments and font sizes. Very visually unappealing and amateurish. They also MISSPELLEDPRIXFIXE. Basic no-no. … Most importantly, the restaurant still has not quite decided what KIND of restaurant it is. White linen napkins, extensive wine list? Or casual Cal-Talian with a robust beer list to pair with their monstrosity of a hamburger? Sometimes I think the business hasn’t found its voice quite yet, and I would encourage them to go in one direction or the other– not both. LUNCH: Pork Belly and slaw sandwich is divine. I have a cathartic moment every time I eat it. Steak Salad is very solid, good balance and greens choices. Tomato Soup is wonderful, tastes suspiciously like their tomato-based pasta sauce… Eggs Benedict: Odd thing for an italian restaurant, and I suppose their italian ‘interpretation’ of it is valid. The prosciutto must be cut thinner, otherwise it gets chewy. They also used a very meh hollandaise and fried egg instead of poached. Served on sourdough toast, almost brioche-like. I would suggest making in-house english muffins(and maybe in-house complimentary bread!) and fixing the hollandaise, or maybe doing it with filet mignon or lox instead of prosciutto. Mmmm… FINALVERDICT: Luca Bella seems most at home during the lunch/brunch service, but has a hard time translating the same aesthetic into their dinner service. Speaking of service, the waitstaff really needs to organize and get their affairs in order so that they can reduce wait times and increase happiness. Otherwise, the kitchen kills it and gets an A++.

Love the sandwiches here! Servers are friendly and wine bar has a ton of selection. Only critique is the echo in the restaurant. Maybe some carpet to keep the sound from bouncing around. Would recommend to anyone!

The food was quite good however the service was awful. It took 30+ min to get our meal and that was the last time we saw anyone to help us. I finished my beer before the meal and was going to love having another one but we never got that opportunity! Not once were we asked how our meal was, not once offered water and not even asked if we needed the check. I had to go up to the front to ask for the check and they acted surprised that we hadn’t received it! The only reason it’s getting 2 stars is because the food was darn good. Hopefully they rectify the shotty service. Maybe it’s my long hair that they don’t approve of.

My first one star review. I’m so sad to write one. I’m so easy to please! This was my second time here, my aunt liked this place so we ended up at LucaBella for brunch. We sit and order and all is well. We get to talking and it starts to feel like«dang it seems like we’ve been here awhile.» When we look at the clock 40 minutes have gone by. The waiter never came over to apologize for the wait or tell us anything. After another 10 minutes we decide to leave and right as we are walking out the food comes. We decided to stay and eat, we should have left. My aunts food was cold and we were all bitter about the poor service. We hated paying this bill of $ 53.00 after being treated so poorly. We will not return and honestly it’s like 3 hours later and this experience has left me feeling so disappointed and what a waste of hard earned money. Please don’t treat others customers this way.

Been waiting here for an hour. Still no food. This is absolutely unacceptable especially considering what they are charging. $ 4 to split a plate!!! Are you kidding me. It’s just an extra plate. Will never be coming back here again because this kind of service is absolutely unacceptable. By the end the manager never came over to apologize and was completely rude. Seriously a terrible dining experience. DONOTEATHERE!!!

My friends have been raving about this place for a while so I finally made it over here to try out Taco Tuesday & it was well worth the wait. We tried all of the tacos offered & they were all scrumptious with very different flavor. The garlic fries were a huge hit & although I personally did not try the rigatoni I was informed that it was delicious as well. In the smaller dining area bread is only offered upon request for those that want a little extra something. Fantastic food & excellent service in a great atmosphere, I look forward to trying out more of the menu in the future. If you have trouble finding it as we did it’s kind of tucked away near the top of downtown Glendora across the street & up two doors from the sushi restaurant.

Employees were extremely friendly. We were there a bit early before the restaurant opened for dinner but they saw us waiting outside and let us in earlier. We were celebrating a retirement and a bottle of champagne was included in our meal, on the house, courtesy of management. I had their special: warm spinach salad with bacon and artichoke, topped with a poached egg. It was so tasty and I never liked artichokes until I had it in this salad. I had leftovers that I took home and two days later, it tastes just as good; it might even taste better! Haha Also, their garlic butter and garlic fries… oh mah gaaahhh! So good. Everyone else in my party got the burger and really loved it too. Friendly service and delicious food. I’ll have to come back again.

Possibly the best place to eat breakfast in Glendora. Pro’s: –Cloth Napkins, even at breakfast –Servers friendly, and so far have been prompt to serve me. –Food quite good and well presented, though with reservations listed below. –Clean establishment and very pleasant to eat at. –Price: For breakfast, quite reasonable Cons: –Their heavy cups soak up the heat of the coffee so by the time it arrives at your table the coffee is only warm. — I also noticed that they place the food onto cold plates, so what food was hot from the kitchen wasn’t so hot when it got to my table. The eggs cooled pretty quickly. I was tempted to go with their oatmeal but I’m now wondering if that too would have arrived warm and not hot. — My breakfast included sausage. I love stake sauce on my sausages. When i asked for steak sauce I was informed that they don’t have it. I know this is an Italian style restaurant but surely they can provide a stake sauce for breakfast. Am I the only person in the Glendora area that likes steak sauce with my breakfast? I was tempted to rate this with 4 stars but will reserve judgment until I’ve had a lunch and dinner there. If the above items could be corrected I might even be tempted to go with 5 stars. UPDATE: 2016 Since my earlier posting all of my concerns seem to have been addressed. Plates and coffee cups were warmed so had a good hot breakfast and hot coffee. The oatmeal was outstanding. As a result I’ve changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars.

Had breakfast here over the weekend. Wait staff was friendly but service was POOR. Waited a long time to get drinks. And the hot tea I ordered arrived at room temperature. Waited even longer to have order taken and food served. Pancakes were good. Rest of the food was unremarkable. I’ve had lunch here and it was good, as well as the service. So it was disappointing to have such a poor experience.

Very poor service, we were seated outside, there were 3 other tables out there, the waiter came out and talked to the other tables, the other guy came out with water for the other tables, 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us. It’s sad because the food looked so promising. I don’t know if it’s the hostess fault or what but we left. I did let the hostess know why we were leaving and she said she was sorry. She said she would let the manager know but who knows, apparently she never told anyone to come serve us, not that she needed to, the servers should have seen us sitting there with the menus, no drinks and should have asked us if we had been helped.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the San Gabriel valley! I usually go at lunch because they have great lunch time deals. You can get half a steak sandwich and a salad for like $ 8.99. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. There are so many yummy options on the menu but I usually go with the steak sandwich and pear salad or a steak salad. The dill salad dressing is amazing! I always ask for it on whatever I order. If they bottled it and sold it, I would definitely be buying it. Its the perfect balance of tartness! I have also been here for dinner and it was great as well, just pricier. Service is always top notch. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Glendora needs more restaurants like this! But so far, I am not tired of Luca Bella.

I have been wanting to check out LucaBella for months now and I finally got to see why my parents and friends have been raving about this place for so long! 1. The service was excellent! The servers and hosts were kind, helpful, and always nearby if needed. My water was never empty, my food arrived promptly, and I felt well taken care of. 2. The ambience was relaxed and and warm and comforting, and the décor was classic and pretty and somewhat rustic. It has the perfect feel of a wine bar with the mix of a tapas/Italian restaurant. Plus, the live music was a beautiful acoustic addition to the evening. Exactly what a want in a nice local restaurant spot! 3. THEFOOD! I tried the happy hour menu which included the cheese plate, garlic fries, and the pork belly sliders. The cheese plate was great not just because the presentation was delightful, but I enjoyed the cheeses, the candied walnuts were delicious, and I loved that the bread was slightly charred which gave it a slightly smoky taste. As for the garlic fries, they were on point! Didn’t need to dip them in anything, they were great on their own. And then, the pork belly sliders… YUM! The pork belly was cooked perfectly and the jalapeño slaw was an excellent compliment to the mini burger. I really enjoyed them! Anyways, I’m planning on going again soon because my father was disappointed that when I went, I didn’t try the«Out-of-Sight» short rib pasta that he LOVED. So, LucaBella, see you very very soon!

Came here for my cousins bridal shower. Everything was buffet style. Appetizers included fruit and cheese platters, and two different types if salad; Mediterranean salad and apple walnut salad. The fruit was fresh and delicious, and the salads had lots of flavor and tasted wonderful. The main dish was sandwiches with two choices either chicken or mozzarella. I had the mozzarella and it was bland tasting, and the bread was over toasted. Dessert consisted of brownies, lemon cake squares, strawberries, and cannolis. The brownies and lemon cake were mediocre. But the cannolis were so good! Overall this place is great for«rabbit» food. Good for healthy foods, but not good if you want something greasy and fried.
