Service was good but the food just wasn’t worth it to me. It’s a little bland.

Hibachi at it’s best! Don’t eat much if you’re going to try and tackle this food-monolith. I ordered the steak and shrimp with fried rice. This also includes a bowl of soup, a salad, grilled squash, grilled mushrooms and grilled onions. All delicious and great staff!

My kid loves it, Mori and the staff are very polite and hospitable. The food of course depends upon the chef, i find Chris to be one of the best with food as well as with children.

Chief Kevin was amazing! He entertained while preparing our meals. Portions are well served and I felt at home with my entire family! My husband and I brought my dad for his birthday and it was a tasty pleasant night! Will definitely recommend and come again!

Mori’s ROCKS. Been coming here for years. Mori the owner is a nice guy and a real character. Take a look at Mori’s wall of fame and see him in photos with all the famous people who frequent his restaurant. The preparation of the food is a show in itself, and the steak is always prepared exactly how I order it. Great atmosphere and a fun place to eat at. You are guaranteed to leave FULL and happy.

I LOVE Mori’s Teppan Grill! Places like this where the food is also entertainment are usually always fun but there is just something so charming about this place which I would accredit to Mori the owner. He is simply so nice and hospitable. The food here is very good which is obvious from all of the pictures posted. The menu is pretty simple and straightforward but there is something for everyone(chicken, beef, salmon, shrimp, veggies) This is a perfect place to go on a date, celebrate an anniversary or a birthday. Gah almost forgot to mention THESALADDRESSING here is so freaking good! If I could I would come just for the salad. It’s ridiculously simple but even more ridiculously delicious!

Wonderful experience and delicious food! We almost drove right by it — it is located on the side of the building across from the Ralphs’s on Stocker. There is a large lot behind the building so no trouble with parking. This place has great ambiance — when you wait for your seat you see a wall of celebrities who agree and have dined there! Chris was our chef and he was great! For a healthier option we substituted brown rice for the fried rice and we all agreed it was some of the most delicious fried rice we have ever had! I got the chicken which was amazing and a great value for $ 16 to get salad with amazing ginger dressing, soup, 3 shrimp, chicken, and a ton of vegetables. Everything is so fresh and tasty! Alcohol is also priced well with good deals on pitchers of beer and wine. We had so much fun here on a double date and will absolutely be back!

Great place for Teppanyaki. The price is good, the food is good, & the service is good. Easy to make reservations. Got there and got seated right away. All the servers were so polite and nice. Very kid friendly place, got us high chairs right away. Weren’t particular on where we put the high chairs. The beverages came in big cups, and they have no problem refilling them. The Teppanyaki chef was really good with the kids and made sure they had a good time. Overall, very good experience. My son loved it. Thanks.

I love Mori Teppan! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and it’s always on point! Mr. Mori is always here and is such a gracious and hardworking man, always making me and my friends feel welcome. My favorite thing to order(besides everything) is the steak and shrimp. It comes with yummy salad(give me more!) and rice. You get what you pay for! The staff is lovely and the show on the grill is fun! I highly recommend reservations for any party more than two.

Visited this place to celebrate my friend’s birthday! The food is good. I enjoyed the steak and shrimp dinner. I had not been here in over 14 years.

I am a fan of these types of places. Benihana, Tokyo Wako, etc. There’s something about a chef flipping your food as he cooks it in front of you. Except this time, our chef messed up at the finale, he was supposed to make a volcano out of our food but I believe he did something wrong & thus, our volcano didn’t erupt like it was supposed to. But that’s okay. I appreciate the effort, and the food was still delicious! The ambiance was really chill, it wasn’t crowded at least not at the time we were here. We will come back for more.

From Mr. Mori himself, to the service, to the food this place is absolutely great! It’s a total hidden gem! It was my first time here yesterday and it definitely won’t be my last. Mr. Mori checked up on me and my group, and even remembered my name from the reservation I made. The chef was funny and be prepared great meals for everyone. The staff is very nice and fast. Can’t wait to go back

Finally after many many years I dined at Mori… Another one of those been there forever & knew about it type of places but never went, until now. Our party of 10 was there for an early dinner celebrating my dad’s birthday. We were seated at a teppan table in the middle of the restaurant. First up was the fried rice and the chef that was assigned to use(white caucasian lady) was obviously in the learning stages of her teppan style cooking. She was very quiet, looked nervous and was a bit on the slow side. The fried rice tasted good but she could have been a lot better and I trust she will be with experience she’s bound to accumulate at the restaurant on the daily. I forgot to mention we were given a salad to start off with in our meal. It was a good salad with sesame miso dressing. I liked it. It was tasty… Now to the main part of the meal. We were assigned another chef with obviously way more experience cooking on a teppan grill. He looked to be Filipino. He put on a good show and was charismatic. He exhibited probably what I expected to see at Mori. He cooked up our mushrooms, shrimp, squid, scallops, steak & lobster. It was all very good. The food was tasty. And of course he did the requisite onion stack volcano. Pretty cool. Dipping sauces were explained. We were instructed what went with what. Mr Mori was there and he pretty much oversees all the staff directing them here and there. He greets all the patrons and says goodbye and thank you to all of them as well. Seems like a cool dude. From what I have heard, he’s there every day. Service was decent. It could have been better. The asian lady that took our drinks was a little confused on our simple drink orders but it worked out. The décor inside the restaurant is a little outdated. They can use a little updating to the furniture and wall décor IMO. One big plus is they have their own parking lot to the side. I would try Mori again. Now I know what to expect and look forward to.

Here’s the deal, I’ve been to Mori’s around 10 times over the past 4.5 years. I’ve had various chefs, but I got Bobby(the Caucasian guy) 3 or 4 times in a row. I really enjoyed Mori’s and that’s why we keep going back. I stopped going for a while because Bobby was learning, and while that was understandable, I didn’t want to keep paying for it. I went to Benihana’s in Arcadia in the mean time, and I have to tell you — it totally and completely sucked. So it’s been about a year since we visited and we returned tonight. I had asked not to be assigned to Bobby, but the other couple at the table wanted him as the chef. Lo and behold, he was assigned to our table and I thought, «Whatever, maybe he has gained experience over the past year.» My kids and I ordered, scallops, steak, lobster, and fried rice(along with everything else that’s included in the meal). And I waited, skeptically, while Bobby cooked. He’s got a great personality, and I wanted to like him — but it’s about the food. The rice was made first. I took a bite, I took another bite — delicious! Then the steak was done. I ordered medium rare and it was perfectly medium rare. At this point, I began to feel cautiously optimistic about the seafood. My son ordered the chicken — for whatever reason, it was also fantastic. I had no expectation, it’s chicken for pete’s sake, but it was great! I was praying about my lobster — once again, Bobby pulled through. Not kidding, best lobster I EVER had. It was soft and garlicky and buttery. My thoughts then turned to my scallops, would Bobby pull through? HEDID!!! The scallops were cooked perfectly, not underdone, not overdone, but soft and grilled on the outside. The shrimp was delicious too. I was so suprised that Bobby was such a terrific cook. Next time, I’m going to specifically ask for him. Tonight’s meal had to have been the best teppanyaki experience I ever had. Thank God Bobby stuck with it, because he’s got skillz.

Mori was an amazing experience! At first glance, it didn’t seem much, the décor was simple and dark. When we got there, we were greeted by the host and immediately sat down. They didn’t start taking our orders until 5 – 7 minutes after but they did ask us, «would we like to start off with anything to drink with.» We ordered the soybean, calamari, shrimp pasta, New York steak, and salmon. The chef came out a few minutes later and that’s when the show begin, every food that we order, he had a store to tell, it was very entertaining. Our chef, Chris, did a great job at keeping the environment entertained. You have to just see for yourself. The food was amazing, and filled us up quickly. We ended up just splitting our food, which was a great idea, sampling a little bit of everything. The food definitely had a lot of flavors.

WoW!!! What a great dinner experience. This place is just hands down one of the best places i went to eat. Not only is the food fresh. But its cooked right in front of you and the chef does cool tricks with it as well. Honestly the buttery saice they make from scratch is just perfect. The steak, best i ever had! Good Job. A must try. They have their own parking lot as well.

I really want to love this place, but just can’t. This time we got a seasoned chef who made the food pretty good. He was quiet and didn’t speak much. The last time we were here, we did get a new chef who didn’t know how to do the usual fancy tricks, but at least he was entertaining and informative. The last time we came, the chef told us about which sauce goes with which meat and etc. This time around, it was quite boring. All of us in our party got the NY steak and lobster tail. For starters, they gave us a salad and veggie soup. The soup was fine. Both the soup and salad were nothing special. The salad dressing was delicious, however, the only thing that ruined the salad was the vast amount of water at the bottom of the bowl. I don’t like my salad watery as it dilutes the dressing. Maybe they should spin/drain it a little more after washing. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, and received medium well instead. The lobster was over cooked as well. The portions this time were skimpy compared to the last time. Service was friendly and efficient. I just wish they’d focus on their food more.

I’m pregnant & have had the craziest craving for Hibachi(we’re from the east coast). To help satisfy it, my BF suggested we try this place. I am so happy we did. Mr. Mori greeted us at the door & walked us to our seat. We had a long wait at the beginning for even drinks. I was getting irritable(hunger & thirst will do that to ya), but when the talented Chris(sp?) came out, it was all forgotten. He put on a great show & had funny jokes. The food was great & the ambiance was perfect. At the end of the night Mr. Mori checked on us, apologized for the wait, thanked us for our patience, and encouraged us to come back. We definitely will! :)

ARIGATOMR. MORI! for such a wonderful experience at Mori Teppan Grill~! I was hesitant to come here because I noticed from the pictures that it was like Benihana’s and I was NOT impressed with Benihana’s at ALL… However, I gave ended up giving it a try because my friend is obsessed with this place! I mean, he comes here at least once a week! Had to find out what the fuss was about. Loved that they have their own private parking lot first of all. We were seated really quickly and were welcomed with a warm greeting. I really love when restaurants do that! They had fairly reasonable prices and really good quality ingredients. Very fresh you can tell because they cook it all right in front of you! Our cook was so funny and nice! The show was so cute~!(see pics and vid) Great place to bring kids and family. Overall, an excellent experience at Mori’s. See you soon!
