The line was almost out the door! Made me wonder if this place was that good and it didn’t disappoint! The carne asada burrito was so tasty, but I would skip the asada tacos the next time. I’d rather just go to Ave 26 Taco Stand for tacos. One star off for the 20 minute wait and for running out of the green salsa. Cash only!

With high reviews, we were optimistic. We noticed the prices were kinda high for a taco place, but we figured so is poquito mas. Sadly the food was pretty sub par compared to poquito mas. I cannot recomend coming here. For the price of the place, the food isn’t worth it.

This is probably one of the Best Authentic Mexican Taco Spots in Glendale. I love their Carne Asada Tacos with Onions and Cilantro. They are always packed no matter what day of the week it is. This is the only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars but other then that it’s worth the wait.

Little hole-in-the-wall place with awesome street tacos! Their carne asada and al pastor are great! Four stars for great taste and great prices! Their horchata is very good too.

LOVELOVELOVELOOOOVE the chicken tacos!!! The carne asada tacos not so much because it’s way too dry and all the pieces include fatty meat and I don’t like the fatty pieces! The cashier is also not so welcoming. She doesn’t even look at you while you order. Oh well! I go for the food, not her so who cares! TRYTHECHICKEN!

Worth the drive from Burbank every damn time! Best tacos, best carne asada, and best burritos. This place is always packed and for good reason. You must come out to try it if you haven’t already. They have a parking lot and there’s usually no problem finding any parking. It does take a while to get in, get food, and get out, but it’s worth the wait.

Wow! AMAZING. Best tacos/ceviche/burrito I’ve had in a long time. Moved to Glendale recently and wanted to find a poppin’ Mexican spot and I’m so happy I chose this place. and to top it off I tried it on cinco de mayo and it made my day! It’s a hole in the wall joint but the food is the REALDEAL. I ate there for lunch and I’m about to PostMates it right now lol! A-1

Their burritos are goody and meaty, but I guess I expected more for their price. I spent almost $ 7 on a carne asada burrito. Granted it’s not much but it’s about $ 5 – 6 from food trucks and it’s about the same quality. I’d have it again though.

I’ve been coming here since high school & I still love it. The tacos are amazing and they’re not too heavy on your stomach when you have them late at night. –They stay open until late. –They have delicious cabeza, lingua, and asada –Their drinks are also yummy. –There’s easy parking in the back. –You can call ahead of time to order and then pick up. –Their sauce is one of a kind!

Came to get a quick breakfast burrito since my husband is raving about this place. I came in and there’s only 2 people eating. Granted it’s just 9:30am. I came up to the front and was welcome by a younger gentleman with the beard. I did not get his name. I ordered a chorizo breakfast combo but asked him what the combination breakfast burrito was. He said sausage, bacon and eggs. I told him can I just have the combination instead but chorizo not sausage instead. He said yes that will be fine. He kept on mixing the previous Choris breakfast burrito he is working on for other customers. I was standing there for a good 2 mi Utes and I saw him put beans on the burrito. I asked him do you put beans on the burrito? The older gentleman said in Spanish. Did you hear that? He said yes to him and never responded to my question. I was surprise but maybe thinking he never heard my question. I was still standing and 2 gentleman came to order. He was telling them come in what. An I help you with? I am stuck on the left corner waiting for him to answer. I saw him fixing my burrito was telling the guy just put very little has brown because she wanted beans. I told him in Spanish just because I want the other older gentleman to answer just in case the younger guy will remain mute again. I proceeded and said«do you add beans in the burrito? Because I didn’t want any beans in my burrito» the older guy was the only one who answered okay esta bien. Another worker came by the register and I spoke to him in Spanish and I asked can you please charge me? He said oh no not me he is the one who charges people. He is pointing to the young gentleman with the beard. When the younger gentleman with a beard came to charge me I also asked him that I wanted a Coke. He just said what kind? I said regular and I handed the money and all he said thank you. The burrito was a tad salty by the way and it was okay for my linking but the customer service lack luster. I felt that I owe him something for making my food. He seemed unhappy. Your food might be good but people will start running away from your restaurant if you have an attitude. I will not return ever!

A staple of South Glendale! El Sauz has been busy every day and night for years. The staff is awesome– always friendly and no matter the crowd, your order is correct and quick. I love the carne asada burritos! Tons of good lean meat. Not greasy or fatty like other taco locations. Also good are the carne asada quesadillas or tacos. Ceviche tostadas de pescado or camaron are very very good! They give you a healthy serving of ceviche. The green and the red salsas are very good! The only downfall is the long line! But the quality food is worth the wait!

Hidden little gem. We found it on Unilocal after visiting the LA zoo and I’m so glad we tried it. It is very small and the customer service is not very friendly but the food makes up for it. I recommend the Tortas, burritos, and tacos(azada or al pastor). The orders automatically come with pickled carrots and jalapeños. They only accept cash, there is an ATM in there.

It’s El Sauz el, this is the dirty amazing food of the town. I always get tacos, carne asada quesadilla or the torta. It’s delicious! Mouth watering delicious. Take cash wish you, trust me. Don’t use that ATM. Honestly, this is great for lunch or post-alcohol consumption food. Either/or. Needs a serious revamp though, more tables, maybe slap a Clorox wipe against the wall and table or something.

Damn… This place is the SHIT! I love the tacos at Sauz! I don’t think I’ve had tacos of this quality any where else outside of my beloved Mexico. Seriously… This place has got it going on! The meat is so beautifully cooked, they put the right amount of cilantro and onions, and the salsa doesn’t make me want to cut my tongue off. The al pastor isn’t that greasy shit you’ll get at king taco; every bite is wonderful, the barbacoa tacos are great, and chicken tacos are great as well! Eventually I’ll be brave enough to try the cabeza and … Maybe … Even… Lengua. The place is small and seating is very limited so plan for take-out, also have some cash ready. Seriously this place is life changing! AHUEVO!

Mmm El Sauz! When in Glendale. This is a MUST Thinking about their tacos and burritos has got me drooling right now. Little shack located on San Fernando blvd. Limited parking in the back Simple menu with nothing complicated Cash only Wait time– a little long depends on the day/time Quality and taste of food– excellent Hours of business– convenient Seats– located inside(limited) Atmosphere– chill Price– $ You will see a mix of people eating here… Open late hours to accommodate people driving back from Hollywood/LA Make sure to ask for radishes and picked jalapeños. They don’t have a salsa bar so you will have to ask for those at the window. I believe they charge 25 € a container(i could be wrong) so double check on that. Enjoy :)
