This place is a dive bar with karaōke which I would usually really enjoy… however this place can suck it because the rude bartender charged my credit card twice and even after I pointed it out to him and he «fixed» it, it STILL showed up on my credit card!

Dave’s is a cool dive to have a few drinks after work. It’s. Family owned and everyone knows your name. The drink pricing is about the LA average. LJ is a great bar tender. She makes her drinks strong. She is very nice and makes you feel at home. Remember the TV show Cheers? It’s Glendale version of that. It is a small bar but has a pool table and karaōke on Fridays. Cheers have a drink at Dave’s on Broadway.

If you have nothing to do and enjoy having a brew while conversing win some fun souls, do stop by to this joint! Came by with a friend that was visiting from the East Coast and had a few drinks. He ended up liking it better than most pubs back home(his words). Well earned review

I walked in not knowing what to expect, thinking just a simple neighborhood bar. I knew nothing about it and had not read any reviews. I just wanted a drink or two… or three… or…, well… continuing, it is a dive bar, no doubt about it… but everyone was friendly, including the tarbender .lol, it was karaōke night, after a drink or two, I tried the karaōke, I’ve never done that before, it was great! The booze was good with good prices… I had a great time and strongly recommend it. I found out by reading reviews they have a hot dog night, just not my night, darn hot dogs are my favorite food group, so I will go back, on hot dog night. PS the parking is virtually nonexistent. So I parked a couple blocks away and took the bus which stops at their front door, talk about«movie parking»…lol it was an absolutely fun experience.

First timer… loved it, but it’s difficult to park. Oldest bar in Glendale. Loved the music and the stiff drinks.

If I could give 0 stars I would for the simple fact like getting served by a bartender the doesn’t wanna be there sucks at least fake it I’ve been there on many occasions so I’m sure it wasn’t a bad day on his part lol and that’s their general manager lol boo shame on you you should find something else to do

Awesome karaōke great warm atmosphere great drinks. I hung out at Dave’s on Broadway with my friend Abby who I had not seen in 2 years. We had one of the best times together ever at Dave’s, singing and throwing back a few drinks. I will always remember this place from my trip to LA and the fund we had Saturday night 11/21/2015.

I’ve been here now on several occasions. Mostly On Sunday. Ronie the bartender is phenomenal! She’s the reason for so many stars. The place could use a good steam cleaning though.

Dave’s is a great hangout bar in Glendale. Am not a local and made effort to go there for karaōke, pool, beer and friends! Great crowd and good looking friendly bar tenders too!

Great local spot for drinks and pool! It’s usually packed on Fridays & Saturday’ s for karaōke. Free pool & hot dogs on Sundays(on a small pool table & there’s only one table but never a long wait), karaōke on Wednesdays, Friday’s & Saturdays, 80s & electronic music DJ on Sundays, free pizza & pool on Mondays, live band music on Tuesday, and open mic music Wednesdays. The bartender is awesome and staff are always nice. I really love Sunday night electronic music night! It’s a dive bar but 4 stars for awesome staff &DJ and always having a clean bathroom.

I am writing regarding an incident that took place at Dave’s bar Saturday, Sept. 19th. After having a great ol’ time and a few drinks… what I thought was a friendly discourse took a very bad turn. A guy, who happened to be a «regular», started berating me and saying disparaging comments about Native Americans. I, yes with several vodka’s in me, and it wouldn’t matter anyway, not tolerating his nativists comments got into an argument with this guy, who upto that point had been fairly decent dude. Not only was this guy all in my personal space, yelling at me, I also had the manager/bouncer of Dave’s trying to kick me out of the bar, because«I was bothering his customers.» I refused because that guy said to take it outside, and I was not about to do that. Me thinking that I would call the friendly Glendale Police department to ensure my safety, and not let this bouncer just kick me to the curb. I got in a situation with the police who started citing with the bouncer. The story just gets worse. Very disappointed at this bouncer for not finding out what had happened, and banning me for life just because he was friends with this bigoted customer. It is disheartening that those are the customers Dave’s management want patronizing their establishment.

Never been to Dave’s but I have been stuck at the red light right out side soooo many times that I feel like I can write this review with conviction. Dave, you are awesome my man. One day I will walk thru your doors and throw back all the liquor your cabin has to offer. Until then keep on keeping on

I made a very spontaneous stop at «Dave’s On Broadway» this afternoon during 100+ degree heat. All I could think about was a cool dark place and a few cold ones. Once I swung open the door and entered Dave’s I knew this is what I was looking for. It’s an old style bar, not large but rather quaint. An old dive bar in the tradition of Pasadena’s 35’er and Old Town Pub and LA’s Footsie’s on Figueroa. I slid into a bar seat and was immediately greeted by the very friendly Laura Jean who wasted no time in pouring me a cold tap beer. Our conversation was lively and she was much appreciated for her upbeat attitude and attention to detail. She’s a cutie bartender so she was quenching for the eyes as well. The beer and drink prices were great. Definitely a place to hang out and bring a few friends. They even had complimentary hot dogs. For the car challenged there is a bus stop right outside the front door with frequent service to and from Pasadena(nights included). And public parking is within a reasonable distance. Right next door is a Vietnamese phở’ restaurant so if you get the craving for some real food satisfy your stomach rumblings there. Thanks again Laura Jean for making my visit a most memorable one.

Tired of paying reasonable prices and being treated with respect? Try Dave’s On Broadway, where you can pay too much for watered down drinks and be condescendingly threatened!

I just moved in the neighborhood a month ago, and I’m so glad I found this place! Walking distance is a plus for me I love dark, friendly dives, and this place is exactly that! Tonya and Victoria are the sweetest! They are very fun and informative. And free pizza and pool on Monday nights! This is my new spot.

This is one of THE best dive bars I’ve ever been to! Every time I’ve gone the bar tenders made stiff drinks and good conversation! Took a younger friend there for her 21 run Christmas Eve past midnight when she became legal, everyone was so amazing to make her birthday special! Karaōke, sweet cocktails, and fun crowd! Bonus: snacks galore!

Fun times! An eclectic crowd and(yes) a pool table.. .cold drinks served right… juke box tight… great little hole in the wall… the only disadvantage is the lack of parking… but this was our first time here… we may have missed alternative parking… however, we found a spot a block away… well worth the walk…3.00 Budweiser, free hot dog and chips during Happy Hour. We will be back!

Decided to try this place out the other night. I love dive bars and this place seemed like just that! Great happy hour, great people-watching and the bartender LJ was the best!

A dive bar in its purest form. Great place to doodle & mingle with like minded folks. Look for lady Victoria, or ms Tonya, they’ll fill your glass and soul at the same time. Love this place. Come say hi to the guy with one too many tattoos & chinky eyes, I’ll happily buy you a drink!

This is a VERY interesting place. The moment you walk in, you get this«divey» feel at this place. The bartender was a little snarky, but passed that, the drinks were pretty good. They have an assortment of whiskey and a pool table behind the bar. It’s small place, but if you’re here for just drinks, that should be enough to either start your evening or end your day at work. I’ve never been here on a Sunday, but they have this hotdog and free pool time on Sundays deal. It’s not too shabby. If you’re looking for a bartender that’ll make your drink a little more«stiff,» this isn’t quite the place. He makes the drinks exactly an ounce and a half. He’ll make you pay more if you want just a little more so you can taste a little bit of the alcohol. I’ll definitely come back. Nice place to just chill.

Tried to come here to celebrate my birthday with my friends. When we got there, there were maybe 20 people in the place total. But after three hours myself and my buddy(there were only two of us that wanted to sing) had only gone twice. However, in that same time we’d seen the KJ and several of her friends going up again and again. When I tried to talk to the KJ about it she was very drunk and kept complaining that«it was her birthday too and she had to work.» When I tried to bring it up to the owner behind the bar he aggressively insisted that there was a system and we just weren’t paying attention. Top notch service guys. Way to alienate your customers. Won’t be coming back.
