Excellent service. Went here for lunch. Prices were very reasonable. Miso soup was perfect. They serve real Japanese tea! Had Shrimp tempura that was hot and not greasy. Outstanding service. The waitress saw I liked ginger and brought out more. Very pleasantly surprised. Will definitely come back for dinner.

Bad. Terrible owner, this is Sean, I worked there for 2 months, they didn’t pay me salary which they promised, did not file tax for me, fired me without notice. Bad experience working in Tokyo sushi, no class, rude and stupid owners. Cherish always push customers for expensive specials which is not that special at all. Selling sake to under age Chinese international students, put them as open drink on their ticket. Overall, Tokyo Sushi is not a place you and your family want to dine out. It just owned by bad people… 黑店,留学生要小心了…

There are a lot of sushi places in Glen Give, but I heard great things about this place. I had lunch with my sister and her friend last week. The service was great, the atmosphere was homey, and there was ample parking. We each ordered sushi maki rolls(sweet potato, spicy salmon, spicy tuna) which were all fresh and tasty. Their recipe for ginger dressing on the salad is probably one of my favorites out of all of the salads I’ve had from various restaurants. The server was also accommodating to my allergy needs, which made me feel safe. Def try this place out.

For appetizer we ordered the nikki-bamboo raft roll which was delicious. That one gets 5 stars. I ordered toro and abalone sashimi pieces. What I got instead was appetizers which is a lot of food– The abalone app I couldn’t eat and I looooove sushi. It was chewy and it almost felt like there was cartilage in itThe toro app was 5 stars. I should have spoken up and told the waiter I ordered sashimi pieces, not apps. The bento box was great. I ordered the beef sukiyaki which was ok. When I got the bill I was annoyed because the abalone was $ 20!!! The waiter was well aware he brought me the wrong thing, and well aware I didn’t eat it. $ 109 bill — hefty for a Monday dinner with my daughter. The waiter was very nice but He should have taken the abalone off my bill. They did bring us complimentary desert which was delicious. I haven’t decided if I’ll go back. Still a bit annoyed. I would have given it 3 stars if they did right by the bill, 4 stars if the food was consistent.

Came here for dinner because a friend of mine raved about it. The place was cozy and the staff was friendly. The food was great especially the oysters. I tried authentic Japanese soda which was really good and something I’ve never tried but enjoyed. The only thing I’d change is the staff because they should be a bit more attentive. Would definitely try it again

I was so happy to come out to this restaurant because all I heard was great news about this place from a good friend of mine. She lives in the area so this is her go to spot. She mentioned the name changed… I also believe the owner changed as well, but the fish is still fresh as hell. Change or not… make sure it’s fresh. I ate with a few friends who enjoys bomb ass food and they were able to eat anything I was able to eat so they earn major points in my books. We all shared oysters. The sauce that came on it turned out very nicely together. But of course I needed my tabasco sauce when eating it. I ordered 21 pieces of sashimi with California Uni & Clam on the side. I left the place FULLy satisfied. You may wonder why I gave it a 4 star if the food is so good. Well let me tell you about this waitress. Nice girl overall, but she is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. Let me start from the beginning, upon arriving, we wanted to sit at a small excluded area away from everyone else in the restaurant because we figured, we are going to be loud so lets not disturb the others. So we did get seated and go our drinks… but never got our utensils. No napkin, fork, spoons and chopsticks. We had to request it after receiving our food. We got our food and just sat there and thought hmm… are we suppose to eat it with our hands? Also, we didn’t get our sauce bowl and soy sauce. That wasn’t the worst part. So you got the idea when we wanted to sit off to the side away from everyone to have our own space and talk amongst ourselves. but the waitress wouldn’t leave us be. She was on full weird conversation with us. We really felt disturb the whole time from her. We would be in deep conversation and she comes rolling in and start flexing trying to be all tough and talking about non sense. She did this more than once… to me she is mocking my friend who is a fit giant guy. It was hard to be fake about it so I just look down and enjoyed my food trying my best to avoid her. She will often come to us asking about our food. Doing that once is nice… during our main dish but she came out so often asking us how are food were and then go into deep conversation about the food we ordered. She will say oh these oysters is so good… we got it fresh today. it’s so popular, everyone here orders them. blah blah blah. Oh that California Uni is good right? A customer just arrived and she was upset that we ran out because you guys took the last one. good thing you guys came out on time for it. They even called in advance asking if we had those Uni in. All that while our conversation was pushed to the side to listen to this non sense. Ugh, so hard to be typing this, because she is nice but come on… slow your roll and take a chill pill. Thanks for your amazing over the top service but we are fine =] Yes we enjoyed the food.

The sushi is awesome here. My family really enjoys eating at Tokyo Sushi. I do not eat very much sushi, I usually have the vegetable sushi. Tommy always prepares wonderful platters for my parents when we go all together as a family. The spring rolls are great too! The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating.

When I left Glen Cove I sadly left this wonderful sushi haven. I really liked my regular lunches and dinners here. The seafood is always one step above their competition and the service way beyond anything you would expect outside a five star Tokyo restaurant.

Been coming here for two weeks now and I must say I am really impressed with the service and the atmosphere in here. I have come to dine in twice now and each time I was greeted with warm and friendly waiters. The sashimi and sushi here is extremely fresh and they give extremely huge portions. They have many specials, appetizers, and new rolls on their menu that are all worth trying. I will definitely be back to this place soon.

I like this place. Service is good, prices are good and food is excellent. I would give the atmosphere three or four points but I am always comfortable. I love the ginger carrot soup, and the signature roles are beautifully presented. My favorite place now on the Northshore.

Re the hair in my roll. Got a nice apology email with discount on next order from someone. I appreciate that, will not use it because I don’t want my name known because we go there often, and frankly I worry about retaliation. We ate there last night! But I checked my food. Felt a little crazy. Anyway sushi guys have hats, girls who cover and pack up take out and waitresses have loosely tied long hair. What happened to rules about food service people tying back and covering hair?

I’m a big fan of sushi, sometimes I can be a bit of a sushi snob. I live in the next town over from Tokyo Sushi located in Glen Cove New York. When People come visit me that are from out of town, Tokyo Sushi is the best and only place to take them. Tommy and the crew does an amazing job not only on taste and flavor, but presentation. i highly recommend Tokyo Sushi to all near and far. Tokyo Sushi is worth the trip. Scott

Formerly Fatty Fish, the place is under new ownership. The sushi was generally very good, but not up to the level of Fatty Fish. However, the service is clueless. Ordered soup and it arrived about 15 minutes later, then a waitress reached over and tried to take it away saying«I’m sorry that was for another table». The salads arrived so late we considered rejecting them. Staff, however was very cordial and friendly and seemed to know their operation was a service train wreck. Perhaps the woman who appears to be running the place should leave the computer she was tapping on and assist her ship hands before the boat sinks. Worth another shot but not until after they have some time to get their operation sorted. Update: 3÷21÷25: manager sent message apologizing for incident politely and with further explanation. Very nice. We will certainly try again!
