Saw the reviews on Unilocal,so I thought I’d try it. We were craving some good Mexican food and didn’t want to drive to Oak Cliff From Wylie. Food was average at best, typical out of the box Tex-Mex, similar to what you’d find at a Rosa’s. Ordered the choriqueso, was not impressed, rather bland cheese mix, mild chorizo, prepared in the kitchen not table side. Store bought flour tortillas. For our meal we had the Parrillada, more like chicken and beef fajitas in a skillet instead of the true Parrillada with a flame under the meat, green onions, jalapeños and sausage. Chicken was okay, beef was a little dry and tough, the veggies were probably the best part of the meal. Service was good, waiter was attentive, not very busy at 2PM on a Saturday afternoon, only one other table being used. A little pricey for the quality of food. I’ll definitely stick to what I know when I’m craving great Mexican food and make the trip to Oak Cliff for one of our favorite meals.

Outstanding. Everything I’ve ordered has been great. Last Sunday went for the first time for the buffet. It rocked. Even special orders come out as ordered. If you haven’t eaten here, it is a must visit.

Poor poor service. It took over 35 minutes before they served our food and we were the first ones here for dinner at 5. They gave no menu on types of margaritas. We ordered two on ice and not very good. They tasted water down. The chips were off as if they needed to change the oil before frying. Two of us ordered the chicken enchiladas and they brought only 1 dish. By the way they are flatas not enchiladas if it is crispy just say that instead of trying to sell it as an enchilada. Not fixing to wait another 35 minutes to bring another dish. Husband ordered the rib eye fajitas and they lacked flavor were tough. Very disappointing. Will not be coming back. I can’t believe this place was 4 ½ stars. Very over rated. For the same price go to Casa Milango which is down the street. 10 times better or go downtown Dallas to Mesa Mayo. For the same price you will receive superior margarita, excellent service and fantastic Mexican food

Went at lunch time on week day during break. Not crowded at all. Greeted at the door and seated quickly. Light level was a tad bit too low for my old eyes to see the menu well. Server brought the chips and salsa, and my tongue went to heaven. Excellent Chips and Salsa! Chips are very crisp, and not greasy at all. Salsa is very nice with a good bite to it. I think it is really really good! Could eat a bowl of it with a spoon. My son and I both ordered the #3 from the Lunch menu. #3 One Chicken Sour Cream Enchilada and One Beef Enchilada with Chile Con Carne, $ 7.95 The enchiladas were thick and full of tender, moist, well seasoned beef and chicken. The sour cream sauce was thick and elegant, and the Chili Con Carne was very tasty too. The beans and rice were good, but I was there for the enchiladas. You should try it! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It is a little hard to see from the road. Just remember, Señor Chachote at Jupiter and Lookout, just South of GBT. All in All: Food: Outstanding! Service was great!

Service was good. Food average. Will come back :) Did ask for no letttuce or sour cream in middle of my childs plate because he wouldn’t eat the food if it was on the plate. Came out with it on the plate and as I said my kid refused to eat it. They took it back and made a new one no problem. Just not sure why it wasn’t done the first time like requested.

OK, after several more visits I must still say — Outstanding! The chips are fresh, light, and crispy and the salsa is fresh made in house. All the lunch specials I have tried have been great… BUT — if you have the juevos, try the Jalapeño Margarita!

This is one of the best tex mex places in Dallas. Service? Great. Food? Great. Margaritas? Great. I’d highly recommend getting the Ashley’s paradilla as a dish. Im probably spelling that wrong — but it’s basically a hot fajita skillet with a bunch of sizzling meats and vegetables. It says it serves 2, but it easily feeds 3 people WITH leftovers. I’d also highly recommend their guacamole. It’s made fresh in front of your eyes and super tasty! This is one of the few places in Dallas that I will continually come to again and again!

My fiancée and I were looking for a Sunday brunch before we drove back to Austin. I checked Unilocal and saw the good reviews for Señor Chachote and gave them a try. No regrets on that decision. Easily the best sour cream and chicken enchiladas I’ve ever had, amazing carne guisada, and a brunch buffet that was well worth our time. Service was friendly, food was tasty and more than fairly priced… I wish Señor Chachote was in Austin!

My husband and I tried this place this weekend. It is located when the Luna de Noche use to be. When you walk in it looks pretty much the same. Doesn’t look like any real updates were done. The host was friendly but would often disappear to help bus and serve tables. It appeared they were short handed. We were seated after waiting 20 mins. Our server was extremely nice as well as the runners. The runners were taking our order when the waiter was not around. The serves is why I’m rating this 3 stars instead of 2. We ordered the table side guac. It was disappointing. No real flavor or seasoning. The chips were good. The salsa was okay. We ordered beef fajita nachos to share. It was enough for two and these were pretty good. It came with a nice set-up as well. We ordered sopapillas. They were overcooked on one side and under cooked on the other side. Very disappointing as this is pretty much a staple at most Tex-Mex restaurants. Overall I don’t think that we will be back as the door was not as good as the reviews would suggest.

In Dallas on business and found this place on Unilocal. The high rating is well deserved. The tacos(hardshell) and guacamole were awesome, and the enchilada was also good. Glad I came– in top of good food the entire staff was very attentive I saw a couple comments about thin tortilla chips. Yes, they are a bit thin, but there is no doubt they are fresh and made in house. They taste great, and mine were still warm when they came to the table. Imperfect and fresh/housemade are way better than manufactured and preserved. Definitely try this place.

Food is fantastic. Salsa is delicious. Owner is very friendly and staff is attentive. I would suggest the Texas enchiladas. The sauce is some of the best I have ever had on an enchilada.

The Little Letty’s Fajitas were nothing less than amazing. My friend and I split them so we had room for the Chile con Queso, Beef & Pico. OMG. Wonderful ness in a bowl and total sabotage to a diet. … but so worth it. The service was«Excellent». I never once had to ask for a refill on my iced tea and the server kept me supplied with plenty of limes which is just my quirky«must have». This was a really fabulous lunch and we will be going back again soon with our team that usually does lunch together on Fridays. And I don’t want to forget Dessert. My friend ordered the Tres Leches Cake with 2 forks. It was 7 layers of sweet heaven. Yummy. There are so many wonderful Mexican and Tex-Mex choices nearby, but this is one that should definitely be on your list. Great food, really great service and atmosphere. So worth the trip. We will be back again very soon.

AMAZINGCUSTOMERSERVICE! You can tell this is a type of restaurant that has loyal customers. I heard the servers telling people welcome back. Anytime we asked for anything they went and got it right away. And the food was delicious! I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga I couldn’t stop eating how good the flavor was. My fiancé ordered the Layla chicken fajitas and the tortillas were homemade and warm. I am a sucker for homemade tortillas. They provided plenty of tortillas home which usually you have to ask for most places. I am not from here but travel a lot for work and this will definitely be a stop when I am here in the future.

I’ve got 3 words for you: Rib. Eye. Fajitas. Okay, maybe that’s supposed to be just two words. But if I say say it slowly, it sounds like it should be three. If you need more reason to go here then you can continue reading, but those three words above would be enough to convince me. Nestled in a little strip mall, next to an animal hospital of all things, lies this little gem of a restaurant. As my wife and I continue to look for delicious restaurants in an ever widening area around our house, we discovered Señor Chachote. Service was great, super fast, and attentive(especially considering it was our waitresses first night). The owner came by to check on us several times, and I can confirm what other reviewers have said, he’s incredibly friendly. Chips and salsa were on point. The salsa starts nice and tomato-ey with hints of pepper, and then has a nice slow burning spice that lingers. I could probably drink the stuff. Thank Jesus(as in God, not a latin man), that each person gets their own salsa dish, so no fighting. Chips were solid too, and offered a nice crunch without crumbling easily. For the main course, we split the Ribeye Fajitas(Rib. Eye. Fajitas. Drool), and when I asked about them the owner confirmed that they were one of the house specialties. Seven minutes later the sizzling sound approaching our table announced that our meal had arrived. The steak was cooked to a delightful medium rare, and was incredibly tender. At some restaurants I feel like I’m having to tear at the fajita steak, but here it broke apart easily like it should. Now, I’m not a vegetable kind of guy, but grilled veggies are different. Also, they had delicious steak sitting on top of them, so they tasted like meat anyways. They were quite tasty too. The rice and beans that came as sides were both packed with flavor. It was obvious they were made recently and hadn’t just been prepared in the morning. We tried both the corn and flour tortillas and both were warm and tasty. The only drawback for our entire visit was the amount of tortillas given with the order. We only received 4 tortillas(2 flour, 2 corn). The amount of steak and veggies given would better fit at least 6 tortillas. We ended up ordering two extra tortillas, and were subsuquently charged for them. I realize that we were splitting an order for one person, but I think anyone would have difficulty stuffing the meat and all the sides into just four tortillas. I would highly recommend Señor Chachote if you looking for high quality fajitas, addictive salsa, and friendly people. I will definitely be back, especially considering I recently learned they have a brunch buffet on Sundays.

With its limited menu, my boyfriend and I were still able to try some great dishes. I have always believed in quality over quantity anyway. We started off with ground beef nachos but not before being served a side of warm tortilla chips and fresh, spicy-enough salsa. The nachos were packed to the rim with meat and refried beans, we devoured the entire appetizer in minutes. For my entrée, I ordered the Pollo Marynee which is topped with a sour cream spinach sauce and mushrooms. It came with a bed of rice and a salad with sliced avocados. The flavors were full and the chicken was cooked just right. My boyfriend had the Little Letty’s fajitas that are served with a very tender rib-eye fajita meat. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service provided. For the quality and service, I would say the restaurant is priced right. However, some may think it’s a bit overpriced for another Tex Mex restaurant. I would not disagree as a dinner for two here can cost you upwards of $ 50+ if appetizer and alcohol is involved.

Hands down. Best mexican food i have EVER had. Service was great, friendly staff and actually interacted with you. Started with tableside guacamole. Freshly made in front of us. Doesnt get much better. Only mistake was that we each ordered our own. Easily one meal is for two people. Happy hour margaritas, make sure to take advantage, claim to have best ones in town, and they make a very strong case. Bring a DD! This is the place that you bring everyone you know. Hidden gem that needs more exposure!
