I don’t know what happened here. It’s been a while since I’ve been here and it was really good when I first came but I guess things have changed. Came here for dinner with friends at 7 pm last night. It was PACKED. I wasn’t that hungry so I got the spring rolls and I still wanted some soup so just ordered a small bowl of broth($.50) which I thought was the perfect combo. I loved it here when I first came because the broth was light and not oily but this time around the broth they gave me looked 50⁄50 oil broth ratio a little like my eye make up remover before I give it a good shake, but I’ll say it was flavorful. The spring rolls on the other hand were really good but the peanut sauce is different than most I’ve had its a more watery consistency than the creamy nutty stuff I’ve had at other places. My friend’s bowl of phở there was so much noodle in there he was trying to distribute the soup around the noodles like it was sauce. They were really busy so I understand that they were really slow to service but yeah just keep in mind you’re gonna have to wait a while for them for everything during dinner rush. There’s a small lot behind the restaurant and also street parking readily available. I’d say this phở spot is a-ok, kinda sad the quality dipped a little but I still think it’s better than most other phở spots in the South Bay Area.

The phở is amazing, but I can no longer trust the sanitary of this place. Last time I came in, the girl that was making the Vietnamese iced coffee tasted it and took the spoon she was using to mix it, and licked it and then proceeded to put it back in to continue stirring. Ew.

My go to place when I’m in the area. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss. More hits than misses. Just your standard phở place that will fulfill your phở cravings. I used to come here a lot when I want younger(in my early 20s and hung over. Get the phở and real coconut and you’re good as new! I haven’t been here for awhile, decided to stop by after coming back from an out of state trip. I was craving some soup and noodles and like always, did the trick! This place stays open late too!

I wouldn’t come here to get Phở. I’ve tried this place probably one to twice when it was first newly opened and I have been unimpressed since then. If you are a first timer and haven’t experience true authentic Phở, then I would suggest you to go to the OC(Westminster/Garden Grove area) for some bomb ass Phở. From what I remembered, this place puts too much Phở rice noodles and completely throws off the correct ratio of broth to noodles. I remember the last time I went, my mom complained how the noodles didn’t seems to be white… but yellow(wtffff) and the broth tasted really bland. Idk but the quality of their phở is not that great and I would suggest you to skip here and save yourself by going elsewhere… Kthanksbai

All sorts of deliciousness happening in the Southbay thanks to this Phở spot. Delicious and somewhat nutritious, you can never go wrong here. The broth is one of the best I’ve ever tasted from the beef to the chicken flavors, they are both top tier quality. I definitely suggest that my fellow Phở lovers in the South bay stop by and try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Foods great, but they lose two stars. Why? They charge $ 1.75 for carbonated water. LOL

I came here yesterday to try Phở for the first time ever… Readers, I had never tried Phở before. I order the plain beef broth phở and it was disgusting. It had a sweet taste and the noodles reminded me of boiled spaghetti stuck together. Literally it was a huge ball floating in broth. Maybe my expectations were way too high? I did not enjoy it and neither did my boyfriend. As I mentioned, I have never tried phở so it might just be me, so to any first timers, either go with people who know, or go to a different location. the language barrier here will not be helpful.

This is a great place for a quick and affordable meal! The service is lightning fast, especially if you already know what you want. I typically get my noodle soup within about 5 minutes of sitting down. The entire meal can take about 20 – 30 minutes, and if you really want to speed things up, take your bill to the counter to pay. As for the food, I have only tried the phở. I’ve had 3 – 4 different options, and I prefer the small bowls(I can never finish the regular size!). While the phở has good flavor and texture, it isn’t much different from any other phở restaurant in the area. The pricing is great though — for less than $ 10, I can get a decently sized meal with a good amount of meat that is consistently good. I will keep coming back for a quick and decent lunch!

Ever since they change ownership, this place went downhill. I always order large bowl of Phở and their portion was reasonable. Now with new owner, their portion is smaller for Large Phở. Just the other day, I ordered Com Bo Luc Lac and typically it comes out on a Hot Skillet. The beef was so cold and nasty. The meat was still raw. I told the waitress about how raw and cold it was, she just took it back kitchen without apology. So now 15 minutes have passed and still no Com Bo Luc Lac. 5 minutes later, they brought the beef out and still cold. My kids dislike it. Will Never Come Back!!!

Average phở but I don’t come here for phở. I come here for the com bo luc lac(shaken beef with rice). So good! I recommend it for later in the day because one time I ordered it for brunch and the meat was tough. Other than that, this is the place to go for the morning after a crazy night. Phở is the worlds #1 hangover food. Side tip: Don’t get the shrimp spring rolls. It’s literally 1 piece of shrimp per roll because they cut it in half and the rest is a sad amount of noodles and veggies.

The phở here is great the broth and the noodles are very flavorful. They are usually not too busy so you never have to wait. I usually get the number 7 phở which is phở with rare steak and brisket. The brisket is amazingly tender and is great. The drinks are great too. They have thai Ice tea and thai coffee, which are strong but great. They keep suggesting fresh squeezed orange juice, but I still haven’t tried it. I like their thai tea too much. If you do not want to eat in or too shy to eat by yourself or have to go back to work/home, you should call ahead to take out. I would think that phở is not really good to take out, but one time when I was sick it was amazing. I got take out after work and went home to eat and sleep. But usually I just take phở out to make my roommate jealous while we watch netflix and eat dinner. They separate the phở broth, noodles, veggies(bean sprouts, black basil leaves, limes, hot peppers), and sauce(hoisin and siriacha). Its a build your own meal but its great! There are also random times when they have checkin specials, so check the board in front of the restaurant it usually has them on there. The special is not on Unilocal. The last one they had they gave you a free soda. Parking is a bit complicated. There are only 5 spots in the front of the restaurant, but wait theres more! There is more parking around the building on the side and the back. It’s more like a drive thru. But if you can’t find parking there, just go in the neighborhood.

The vegan dish is terrible. Soggy and greasy, also have no flavor. Fried rice take too long to prepare, I ended up cancel it. If you can’t cook vegan food please don’t display it on the menu…

The food taste is 4 star rating. The service is 1 star. Minus three stars for cleanliness. The extra bowls for the kids came with food stain. Lettuce were full of sand and dirt. Unfortunately, chewing on sand is not on my bucket list. Yes, floor is still filthy.

Always delicious with great service. The first time we came here I gave 1 star off for dirty floor, but now it sparkles! I always get the #7, served with a lot of meat!!! Today I paired it up with a3 – these egg rolls are hand-made and oh-so delicious! They will now become part of my routine when I visit. They no longer serve beer :/

Good food. Quick. Definition of inexpensive. Service could improve but don’t expect much. I liked what I had it was #86 vermicelli with marinated pork and two egg rolls. Got me full and tasted really yummmmmmm. I’ll probably try something else next time since there’s a wide variety of things on the menu but I would definitely recommend what I had.

This is a solid place, it’s A-OKAY, a restaurant I’d patronize, come back again and also recommend. There’s nothing unique about it(in my initial experience so far), so that’s what prevents it from being * * * * or * * * * * which I have a rather different rating system than most and measure on several metrics, where a * * * is definitely a good and positive rating. The service here is friendly. It’s also a clean restaurant. The food delivery was fast and the soup came out hot, cooked to order. Parking is easy when it’s available(and it was), but admittedly I can see that the lot has limited space, but truth be told, the area itself isn’t that hard to find street parking around. The food quality and quantity was good and fairly priced. For the area, to find Phở and not be in Garden Grove or the SGV and make a trek out of the South Bay it’s a great option for Beach Cities residents to dine at. I’m not sure what the true difference between a regular size and a large size is since the price differential is less than $ 1, I’d be curious to measure if it’s worthwhile(FYI — I opted for the large since it wasn’t incrementally that much more in price). I know for the large I ordered it was enough for 2, meaning 2 meals, and I was able to take leftovers home, so from a «cost per meal» perspective you get a lot of bang for you buck.

Usually do not eat phở while in the South Bay but we were getting the craving and I pass the place all the time. Sticking to the usual phở + rice dish to mix things up, we were not disappointed. We stick with the safe Phở Tai Nam since the kid would be turned off by the ‘weird’ stuff. The beef here is sliced much thicker than what I’m used to thus retaining its beef flavor. Phở with substance, who would have thought? Green onions are also thickly cut, another plus in my book. I was really digging the large portions and flavor of the bowl — seemed a much better value than what I’m used to in Little Saigon. Pork chop and rice — once again, a very large portion here. Nicely marinated chops with the usual pickled side items. This was enough to be shared by the 3 of us. Safe to say I’ll be back and ready to venture off the safe items and try something new.

Hello bun rieu! First off, it’s always so hard to find a Vietnamese spot that serves bun rieu. When I find that hidden gem, I have to go try it! I wasn’t disappointed…+1 star! When it comes to eating Vietnamese food, I don’t like trendy spots. I prefer the real basic vibes, it seems more authentic that way. I really liked their bun rieu. It was sweet tomato goodness, that definitely satisfied my craving. I also liked how generous they are with their crab meat and limes…+2 stars! Another star for being open pretty late, my kind of spot. I definitely would return.

I prefer this over phở ever. Why, cause its cheaper and it has a more Vietnamese taste and feel to it. They dont charge you for extra soup like phoever. lol Their desserts isnt 4.50 like other places its more closer to 3 Friendly and nice staff GETTHEIRTOGOS, it comes in ready in a bowl. Just add broth! so convenient when you cheap and you broke and you don’t want to tip. GETTOGO

Food is decent. Rare beef salad was about what I had expected. Service is okay. I think credit card is accepted for $ 20 purchases or higher. As other reviews mention, it is quite loud in here. Not sure what it is, maybe just the way the layout is, but everything seems to echo.
