Horrible. Eggs came out cold and when I sent them back they simply re-heated the eggs in an oven. Plate came back burning hot, toast was black and bacon was a dry as could be.

Not only does Nordstrom have fabulous items but, this place is AWESOME! Always friendly staff and fresh food. After working up an appetite while shopping, coming here just completes the whole shopping experience! My server, Herman, was polite and attentive. The only flaw is, the coffee. I’m a coffee drinker, and unfortunately… it’s not that good here.

I know that the revamped food court(aka The Dining District) within Roosevelt Field has been taking all the glory lately with all its cool new eateries(as it should because it is a step up from what was here before), but sometimes you want to get away from crowds and the cavernous space and find a quiet little place with table service to grab a bite such as Sixth & Pine. It was good to relax and order some drinks to unwind — a split sized bottle of prosecco for my wife and a Fire Island Sea salt Ale for me, this came in a bottle — I didn’t see any draft beer. We looked over the menu and the whole vibe of this place is upscale, diner/comfort food. The service was very friendly as she made conversation about our holidays and told us about some specials. We had the BLTA which adds Avocado to the usual BLT — it came with really good multigrain bread that was tasty so you can also pretend this is somewhat healthy. There was no such pretense in my California Grill which was just a tasty grilled sandwich(like a grilled chesse). The fries were the shoestring variety and came with a creamy horseradish dipping sauce. The prices are on the higher end of the usual diner prices, but I think the quality of the food is worth it. It is in the upper most level of Nordstroms, so you probably didn’t even realize this place was here(Frankly, I didn’t until I found it on Unilocal) so that’s a good thing. I enjoyed my meal here and they also have a nice bar where you can grab a drink as a pit stop on your way to maxing out your credit cards shopping in the mall.

It’s a quiet cozy restaurant tucked away in the corner of Nordstrom’s top floor. The staff is very friendly. The food is like comfort food but with a classy charm(if that makes sense…). We had the burger and flatbread appetizer. The burger’s onions were uniquely, deliciously caramelized. The mustard sauce was so good, with a unique twist to it. Couldn’t put my finger on what it was mixed with but it definitely had horse radish and the hinted taste of Dijon mustard. The fries were thin and crisp. I personally loved the flatbread with the opposing tastes of sweet plantains and savory chicken. However, I think it’s a taste«more suited» to younger generations. My mother didn’t really quite like the taste, saying that it was confusing and too sweet for something that looked like pizza. So I guess this dish was a hit or miss. The salads looked scrumptious on other tables. Personally, I don’t like ordering salads when I’m out. But these seemed worth it. The price is on the higher end, but not too high. It’s Nordstrom, so such price is expected, and the food was good enough that it seemed worth it.

This is a nice oasis to have lunch away from the bustle of the mall. The quality of the food is excellent and refine. It’s a big step up from the fast food in the mall. The salads are very good. The waiter staff can be harried at times running from place to place. You will pay more but it’s worth it.

Stopped in for a quick bite while at the mall with a girlfriend and my two year old and had one of the best salads of my life. The warm spinach salad with salmon was out of this world! It was a wooing 15& change for the salad, but was so great it was completely worth it. The white sangria was fresh and delicious as well, a peachy flavor. The children’s menu had a decent amount of options and as they sat us they gave my daughter some crayons with the coloring book style menu and a box of raisins. I always think it’s nice when restaurants go the extra bit for kids. The children’s pasta was a large serving and included a side of fresh fruit which my daughter loved. The service was great and we never had to look to far if we needed anything. I will definitely be back next time I am in Roosevelt Field mall.

Food is really good! My favorite is the warm salmon and spinach salad. There service is a little slow. But other then that this is a great place to eat, especially if you want to get away from the crazy mall scene.

Always fresh, good food. Great service here too. One of those places where no matter who passes you whether they are your server or not, they always help

For years, I was accustomed to the strange practices of a Nordstrom Restaurant where you’d order at the counter and then have the food brought to you. I never understood this dynamic and was delighted to find its replacement in the upscale deli/diner that is Sixth & Pine. I’m a huge fan of their Louis salad, which marries hefty portions of seafood with crisp lettuce. Their reuben is excellent and rivals that of most local delis. The fries are crisp, tasty, and plentiful — and half price at a shocking $ 1.50 when ordered with an entrée. This has become a new staple and it’s conveniently located inside a gorgeous department store. What a find!

My husband and I made frequent visits to the previous Café Nordstrom, and were so disappointed when it closed over the winter. When it reopened as Sixth & Pine it was very welcome, as this is the only in-store sit-down restaurant in the busy Roosevelt Field Mall. We have just visited twice but both were good experiences. The décor is simpler and more elegant than before, in the«Gordon Ramsay» makeover style. The dishes are very varied, with more selections than before and slightly pricier. We often both order the same thing(over 20 yrs married!) so the first time tried an entrée, the half roast chicken in wine reduction with mashed potatoes, DELICIOUS and gourmet-worthy, with small side salads(nothing included, everything a la carte). Yesterday we went a second time, this time ordering sandwiches, my husband choosing a cornef beef reuben(11.95) and myself a chicken salad(9.95). We also got sides, but the way the waitress asked you assumed they were included in your order, she said«would you also like one of our sides with your meal,» then listed a few, and we did choose the sweet potato fries(husband) and potato salad(me) which were later billed at 1.50 per. Nice thick tasty sandwiches, the potato salad though undercooked was beautifully presented with paprika & hardboiled egg slice, but the meal highlight was the sweet potato fries served in a lined basket, SCRUMPTIOUS taste. Very friendly & pleasant service as before, & quite a full restaurant for weekday lunch. Follow up visit in autumn ’13 saw a disappointing menu change, big reduction in entrée selections, with our favorite half roast chicken eliminated, and more focus on lunch food; still serving the super sweet potato fries however.

I was a little taken aback when I came up to grab a bite at the old Nordstrom Café only to find Sixth and Pine in its place. The old menu is gone. The daily specials are gone. And the whole order and pay before you sit routine is gone, as well. The menu is a little bigger with different choices. The entrees are pricier than before and include a strange mix of pub food like fish and chips and an array of various sandwiches, to a string of comfort foods like meatloaf and fried chicken. I opted for a cup of soup, which changes based on the day, and a french dip sandwich. There are no sides unless you order them for an extra charge. The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but good. There are no pasta dishes on the menu. And the salads are priced as high as the entrees. The service is just as good as it was before. I’d give it another shot, but I don’t think the old café was replaced by anything better. They have a soup of the day and an entrée of the day which is only served on the specified day. No special pricing, though. To their credit, even though the prices are higher, the portions are much larger, as well. If you’re going for a light bite, a sandwich is probably the way to go.

Daily special? Nope, gone. Daily soup? Nope, gone. Bread? Nope, gone. Verdict on food = fine, but why bother. No better than the food court. Should I have expected less on a Saturday night at 7? Weak. Nordstrom, this is your restaurant and part of the image you are projecting. This experience hurts my view on the entire store.

Sixth & Pine restaurant replaced the café’ in Nordstrom. A nice newcomer needed at Roosevelt Field. I had really good New England Clam Chowder. It was as good as the former mall restaurant Legal Seafood. The Corn Beef Reuben was toasted and delicious as was the French Dip, served with au jus. The Potato Salad very homemade and tasty. Food came out quickly. NOTE: Matt T. is a fool! The new menu does have daily specials and daily soup specials.
