I was walking around the Roosevelt field as usual and came across Happy Lemon which got me really excited to try it out. But I was quite disappointed by the wait time and the drink itself. It took around 10 min for me to get my regular bubble tea with tapioca even though there were not that many people in front of me. The tea tasted ok but the tapioca was a little too hard for my taste and also the price was 4.25 which was a bit higher than other places in Flushing. I think this is a good addition to the mall in terms of variety but I am not too sure if I am going to go again.

This is really a great spot. And let me tell you why. When it comes to boba, I turn to some of my friends who make good recommendations. It was mentioned to me that a Happy Lemon FEMA hide would be opening up at the Roosevelt Field mall a while ago. The franchise is very popular within the Queens community and certain individuals prefer certain bends or tastes. First things first. Finding this place in the mall at first can be bothersome. A lot of people tend to miss it or walk past it. Some did not expect it to be a kiosk type business. It is located on the first floor near the Starbucks. The Happy Lemon stand is under an escalator. The decorations and style used for the stand does not jive with the feel of the mall. After first impressions pass and you keep going back, get used to seeing that big Lemon. At first not many customers seemed interested. Their menu has a lot of things. The best things and rightly so, that they offer are anything lemon based. But they have other flavors as well and some combinations I do not usually come across. For my first purchases I got Mango lemon slush, red bean matcha and milk tea pudding. All were good and milk tea is the staple of any boba spot. But upon inspecting the menu, the Oreo Milk tea had caught my attention. As far as price, this company does charge a little more and charges extra for tapioca pearls. That put me off at first but that just means moderation and self control were what the doctor ordered. When I am nearby at certain times I tend to order. They usually have taro flavor out for samples probably. Easier it is such an exotic and uncommon flavor and color for any drink. Taro and matcha are more familiar to Asians and those who are immersed in the culture. The employees speak Mandarin so if you know the dialect you can converse while you wait for your order. They work diligently and quickly. But they have always been polite and helpful with suggestions in English. There system is very thorough and makes sure all orders are made and given to the correct customer. After an order is made it is assigned a number. This number is given to the customer in the form of a little plastic happy lemon logo. You then wait(not long at all) for your number to be called. They have special bags and straws to offer when your turn is up. There are more and more people getting to know this brand. The mall traffic(third largest mall in the United States) is immense(especially on weekends and holidays). I have been meaning to try another flavor but when you find something you like, you tend to stick with it. Go figure.

I followed the advise of another review on here and ordered the Mango Matcha Latte. Oh boy was it delicious! I loved it! I had never been to a place that had bubble tea in NY, only back IN San Jose but this is a great place. Loved it and will be coming back.

You gotta try the Mango Matcha Latte. To call it a latte is deceiving since it’s really a smoothie, but oh boy is it ever worth it, especially on a hot summer day. And don’t forget to add the tapioca balls.

I was so happy to learn that they recently open this kiosk at the mall. The staff is very helpful and the menu is varied. They have a lot of different teas that you can pick from. I had the oreo milk tea and it was delicious. They have two cup sizes: medium and large. If you are at the mall you should stop by! After coming here several times I am not as happy with this place as I was at first. After going to other boba tea places I realized that the prices here are a bit too high. They always give out the same samples of Taro Tea. The only great thing about this place is that it is in a convenient location.

Ah bubble tea near me finally so happy that they put this tea place at the mall. I had the oreo cookies and cream bubble tea it was delicious. The staff was friendly, the only downside I had was that I think they might have put too much sugar or caffeine because my heart was racing afterwards not a good reaction, never happened to me before. Overall a very good place to get bubble tea, next time ill probably ask for less sugar or caffeine.

LOVE Happy Lemon! So glad that they actually have an authentically Asian drink spot in Roosevelt now. After having tried several of their drinks, I do have to agree that their Green Tea isn’t solely Green Tea. It tastes like there’s a hint of Jasmine mixed in. Still, it’s refreshing to have something that I’ve enjoyed in Asia a bit farther out on Long Island. No need to go to Flushing to get my fix.

Yay for bubble tea in the mall! Much better than the place that used to be in the old food court. This spot is the real deal although it’s on the pricier side(it IS in Roosevelt field, to be expected.) Two things: I’ve had a few flavors here already and I have to say that their green milk tea tastes off to me. It tastes more like an earl grey or something more bitter like a black tea. It’s strange and I won’t order it anymore because it consistently tastes wrong. This is not a bad thing, but it’s also extremely odd to me that they give you numbers like you’re in a deli lol. I came here literally as they were opening and there was not a soul in sight and they still insisted on giving me the little numbered chip. They’ve also given me a chip literally as they were about to hand me my drink and take the chip right back, lol. I guess it’s because they are right next to the seating area and people don’t just stand around waiting like they do at Starbucks, they wander off and sit down. Another thing is they are not that great with English… They have a pretty wide menu and when you’re adding things to your drink, etc sometimes they don’t know how to properly answer your question… Like wanting to know if their bubbles are true tapioca or if they are the popping boba kind. Still just happy I can get bubble tea on my lunch breaks :)

Closer to 3.5 star then 4. Good thing is the taste in this location is the same as Flushing. So the quality are consistent. The drinks was about .75−1.00 more then Flushing. So it’s about 5.5 — 6 for a large cold tea.(Not including toppings or bubble). Overall a good Long Island choice for bubble tea. Line is not as long as Flushing.

My husband and I had the lemon green tea bubble tea. It is delicious, refreshing and tart. Doesn’t taste like they just added syrup to your drink either. The kiosk’s price here is $ 1.00 more compared to the menu in flushing. Actually, they seem a bit more pricier compared to the ones I’ve had in general($ 12.00 for two bubble teas! I’ve never spend that much on bubble tea before). None the less, it’s very refreshing– if you’re craving it and at the mall, quench your thirst with happy lemon :).

Love the black tea with fresh lemon. They add the lemon rind into the drink which add a kick of lemon flavor. The rind also adds a bit of bitterness which is a great contrast to the sweetness.

Love the bubble tea here, awesome flavor choices! It’s a kiosk at the mall and a nice addition right on the first floor!
