Conveniently located at Church and 22^nd streets in downtown Galveston, I don’t know of a better storage situation on the island. All storage units are «high and dry» on the 2^nd floor or higher so you don’t have to worry about hurricane flood waters. This sturdy old building has withstood many a hurricane and storm.
Security here is excellent. You get a keypad code that allows you access anytime between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days. You can’t enter without your unique key code, and there are security cameras monitoring the entrances to the building. You can either park in the alley and load through a large roll-​up door, or you can punch your key code into the entrance gate and park in a secure, fenced area for a more secure situation. This fenced area also has a small covered portico that allows you to back under and stay dry if it is raining.
The building is fully sprinklered for fire protection, and has central heat and air conditioning, a must here in south Texas.
The only drawback is there is only one elevator. That has never been a problem for me because I’ve never had to wait on the elevator, but if it ever breaks down that would make things very challenging.

This facility is the most secure storage location ever! I would not store my sensitive documents anywhere else. The staff is very nice and facility is always clean and fresh.
