Burger Parlor is in the heart of downtown Fullerton, right next door to the Night Owl, a very cute little coffee shop. I came here on a Wednesday night, around 6PM, to meet a friend for dinner. I arrived a little early and decided to indulge myself with a nice, cold beer. Surprisingly, their beer selection is up to par. It is very limited, but the beer they offered were all quality! Even though DTF is right outside, I believe that Burger Parlor actually has the best selection, mostly because they had Elysian Space Dust IPA!!! Once my friend arrived, she had been here a few times, and recommended the Smokey Burger. Because I am a huge fan of onion rings, I opted for the Roadhouse BBQ Burger, which is very similar to the Smokey Burger, but it comes topped with onion rings instead of crispy onion strings. The burger took about 10 – 15 minutes to come out and it was definitely worth it. The patty was so juicy and full of flavor. It was not exactly a large burger, but you can really taste the quality in the meat that they used for the patty to the onions in the onion ring. Overall, very solid burger place and I definitely would recommend coming here for a bite to eat or to even start your night out!

I just paid $ 12 for a half of a burger. I got the«Royale». Yes, it was delicious. very tasty. but not at all representative of the size in their pictures. For that price you’d think they could at least include a fountain drink with it. Or live music, a show– anything to justify the price! The interior is just a basic ’60’s style diner. not even particularly comfortable to sit in. I’m barely 5’10, with a 32″ waist, and my hands aren’t very big. When I can cover an entire burger with one hand– both buns folded open, I don’t consider that a «good portion». On top of that, none of the ingredients were anything special or imported– you could make the exact same burger with ingredients from many local grocery stores. They promise you’ll leave 100% satisfied. I guess I should have looked in the bag first before I left, because I just paid $ 12 for half of a burger and I’m still hungry. I’m over this«artisan» gimmick. I really wanted to give it more stars– I read all the fancy fru fru boastings about how awesome it’s French chef owner is and all the awesome places he’s owned before, etc. Whatever. Next time I’ll go to any run of the mill dive bar and get a burger twice the size for half the price. That comes with fries.

Fun friendly atmosphere. The burgers were delicious. The price was a little expensive, but it tasted comparable to in & out. Good beer on tap. Staff was friendly for my first time visit.

I’ve been here a few years back and hadn’t had a chance to stop by yet the burgers were unforgettable! That’s why we came back today for my little sister’s birthday. My boyfriend and I shared the Fritos Chili Cheeseburger. The only reason we got it was because we’d seen a photo of it on Instagram. The chili was overflowing on all sides of the burger and it just looked like a messy monster of a burger, which is totally what I like! We got our order and I have to say I was a bit disappointed in its presentation. It looked so puny compared to the one we had seen. Of course it was delicious as ever but it didn’t stand out like the bbq burger I had a while back. They have daily burger specials as well as getting a free milkshake for your birthday, which my sis was able to take advantage of. I’d give their captain crunch shake a 7 outta 10.

After weeks of hearing so much hype of how great the burgers are my husband and I finally had a chance to try them out. My initial assumption was this was a restaurant however when we walked in we realized it was more of a order at the counter and have your food brought to you kind of a place which I personally prefer. As you know from my past posts, I do not eat beef I only eat chicken so I ordered a chicken burger with fries on the side. When my burger arrived the meat was dry and somewhat tasteless and the bun was hard. Unfortunately In order for me to get through half of my sandwich I had to drench it in ranch on top of all of that my fries were not even warm when they came with my sandwich, It kinda seems like they were sitting out and just waiting to be served as a side order. My husband on the other hand said he liked his burger and he would love to come back here with or without me . A server came up to me as we were getting ready to leave and asked me if my food was ok because she noticed I barley touched my meal. I was very honest with her and told her I was not that happy. She immediately walked away and returned 30 seconds later with a free burger card. She urged me to come back and even suggested to get a regular burger and ask for a chicken breast to be substituted instead of the beef patty. I almost never come back to a restaurant I am not happy with but I will definitely come back here just based on the great service and hopefully will be able to update my review. Stay tuned…

I enjoy getting a bite here and recently it seems to be a popular spot. It’s been crowded beyond all belief for lunch and dinner alike. Lines all the way around the restaurant. Good for them! Today, I got a burger and half and half(fries and onion rings). The onion rings took a while so Cory gave me a card for a free burger next visit! That was super cool and awesome of him. Anyway, thanks Cory. I’ll be back!

My review will strictly be on what I ordered: Hangover Burger(Available SUNDAYS): DELICIOUS! If you are a fan of chorizo, this is your best bet if you go on a Sunday. The chorizo flavor can be a tad overwhelming at times, so I think a ratio of 75% beef to 25% chorizo would have fit my personal choice. I was excited to see that there is a serene aioli on the burger, but after a few bites in the flavor was very mild and I did not recognize the spice from the serrano. Not sure if I got the dud patty of the batch that was prepped, but my patty balled up pretty fat, so it felt more like one huge meatball in between the buns. All in all, a great flavor concept for a burger. I would recommend trying this one for sure! Parlor Burger: This would be for the people who want to try a new burger spot, but don’t want to venture too far off from the norm. I enjoy over-roasted tomatoes, but I felt like that was all I tasted since their flavors are a bit more concentrated than a fresh-sliced tomato. The patty itself was great as I request it to be cooked medium-rare. Well seasoned and juicy! Old Fashion Burger: If you’re a plain-jane THISISIT. There meat blend is so tasty that it turns this ‘old fashion burger’ into an AWESOME ‘old fashion burger’. I would get this again as plain as it is. Crispy Chicken Sandwich: If you’re looking for a tradition crispy chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickles, this wouldn’t be it… BUT! This chicken sandwich is pretty darn good. I’m a little iffy with their choice to use American cheese, but hey it works! They are very generous with the amount of chicken and the chicken itself is very juicy from their bath in buttermilk. Fries: I love it when the fries are made in house. Texture was great! Onion Rings: I mean, I expect onion rings to be generally greasy, but these were insanely greasy. Great flavor, but it felt like biting into an oil sponge. DTF Fries: My goodness, I love chili cheese fries but these were on another level of goodness. Their house-made chili has an awesome flavor profile and that secret sauce just throws these fries over the edge. OVERALL: Great place for the locals and surrounding cities looking for a great burger. You can taste the time and quality that is put into crafting their signature burgers. Like I always say, YOUWON’T KNOWUNLESSYOUTRYITFORYOURSELF!

Meh this place is OK. Not the best burger in the OC, but not the worst either. It’s one of those places you wouldn’t mind stopping by for lunch or dinner, but you wouldn’t go out of your way for it either. During my visit, I decided to go for the Parlor Burger. I’m a little disappointed that Thrillest called their Parlor Burger«In-N-Out on steroids.» I’d hardly compare it to In-N-Out to begin with. Don’t get me wrong; it’s a solid burger. I just wouldn’t compare it to any In-N-Out burgers. Atmosphere is clean and modern. Like I said, it’s not a bad place to plop down for lunch.

I’d seen lots of good reviews of BP, and I wanted to see if the hype was merited. Overall, I’d say it is. I had the Old Fashioned burger, which is grilled onion, tomato, sauce, etc. Other choices let you add bacon or avocado or onion rings. There are chicken sandwiches, fish and chips, salads, even vegan options. The burger patty is huge. I’m guessing 1⁄3 pound maybe. It’s not flat, but rounded like you would shape it at home. I asked them to cook mine medium rare after they told me that their default was medium to medium well. So, be aware and ask for the way you want it cooked if you want medium or rarer. The burger was very tasty. I think I will ask for raw onion next time, not the chopped grilled. This tastes like the kind of burger you’d be happy to have grilled at home. Very good with a fresh and substantial bun. But it comes at a price. The prices for the burgers start at $ 8.95. And go up from there. So, be warned. Fries are additional, but these were some of the best fries fries I’ve had. They are seriously awesome. I also tried the onion rings(in the Half and Half basket), but the batter to onion ratio was too high for my tastes. I may give them another shot, but I’ll ask if they always are prepared as i had them the first time before ordering. I want to try the shakes, which looked delicious, but I had a draft craft beer this time. A decent selection, and they’ll let you sample as many as you’d like before choosing. Sample enough and you may not need to buy any! Overall, a noce dine-in option to Ruby’s or The Habit, with the ambience somewhere between the two.

Yummmm. My mouth and stomach are speaking while I write this review. I can only echo what all the other reviews are saying. But you must come try it for yourself. The burgers are phenomenal. The run keeps everything together and the inside is even better. They pride themselves on using quality ingredients. And I must say the quality shows. The meat is 100% hormone free blended beef, the toppings are fresh and the prices do not hurt the wallet. FYI: Get the Captain Crunch Milkshake. It will change your life and have you back for to satisfy cravings.

My takeaways which make this place great: 1. Patties made to my preference(medium-rare). 2. Craft beers to go with your meal. 3. Multiple televisions with sports 4. Indoor and outdoor seating. Each burger is well thought out in proportion and flavor. I found nothing wrong with this place! I just wish I had enough room for desert because the shakes looked yummy :)

Burger crew meeting called to order on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 12:30pm(Sumana’s pick). Members in attendance: Angela d., Sumana S., Trevor Y., and Wayne T. Absent: Dennis K.(shame on him for sleeping in instead of going to get burgers) I. Ordering Trevor and I ordered the Parlor(American cheese, lettuce, oven roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, secret sauce — $ 8.39), which is described as «in-n-out on steroids». We also ordered the DTF fries(chili cheese fries with secret sauce and caramelized onions = $ 7.95). Wayne and Sumana split the Parlor and the Smokey(smoked bacon, crispy onions, Wisconsin cheddar, arugula, oven roasted tomatoes, and the chipolte aioli — $ 9.45), which is described as one of the«top 25 things to eat in the OC». They also got the half and half(half fries, half onion rings — $ 4.29). II. The burgers The burgers were SO good! First off, you should know that the default way they cook the burger is medium to medium well. However, you can ANDSHOULD request it medium rare. They cook it perfectly to order. The burger is a little on the smaller side. The meat flavor was really great, and it had the perfect amount of seasoning. The bun was nice chewy, gooey and moist; it really held up to the juiciness of the burger. There was also a great meat to bun ratio. All the toppings blended together well and in particular, the tomatoes were really good! I usually don’t like tomatoes on my burger because they seem to water the burger down, but their oven roasted tomatoes added a wonderful flavor and texture to the burger. Wayne and Sumana liked the Smokey burger better than the Parlor. III. The fries The DTF fries were really incredible. The chili was nice and meaty, and the fries were nicely fried and crispy. The onion rings were made beer batter style(smooth rings instead of crumby rings), which is not my favorite. Sumana and Trevor liked them a lot, but mentioned that they were a little on the greasy side. The plain fries could have used a little bit more salt. IV. Miscellaneous You order at the counter and they give you a number that you put on your table. Then, they bring your food out to you. They serve beer and offer free samples of things on tap. They also have a soda fountain for you to serve your own drinks. They have a parking lot in the back and a parking structure close by. They also have outdoor patio seating. They have a loyalty club that’s really easy to sign up for. You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend and you earn rewards. The food came out pretty quickly for us, but they overcooked one of the burgers. Wayne brought it back and they were happy to remake it for us! Oh, they also have some amazing looking daily burger specials(Monday — Pretzel burger, Tuesday — Royale w/cheese, Wednesday — Paris burger, Thursday — Lamb burger, Friday — Goat cheese burger, Saturday — Pepper steak burger, Sunday — Hangover burger). V. Value Value is okay. The burger is a little on the smaller side. If it came with a side of fries, value would be really great. VI. The verdict One of the best burgers we’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely be happy to make the trek down to Fullerton to have another one of these amazing burgers. Ratings: 4.2, 4.2, 4.4, and 4.5. Next meeting: we went for another burger at Pie Dog down the street!

Burger Parlor outshines the rest of Fullerton’s offerings between two buns. This bookmark has been years in the making. I have heard great things about Burger Parlor since their open and thanks to being a perennial contender for OC’s best Burger my longing to try their offerings never waned. Finally a client in the area gave me a great reason to stop for a visit. The interior is new, upbeat and immaculate. The service is equally as impressive and the prices are about par for the gourmet style Burger at roughly $ 10.00 each. Thanks to the numerous low reviews on Unilocal regarding The Parlor Burger I knew what not to order but needed inspiration and got what I was looking for thanks to William who served me. He asked if I like Bleu Cheese, I advised him I love it, and he implored that I try their Danish Blue Burger. So, I did. Let me tell you something: William knows his stuff. The Danish Blue Burger is a 1⁄3 pound patty of Beef cooked to order(in my case a perfectly executed medium rare) topped with Danish Blue Cheese, grilled Mushrooms, caramelized Onions, and oven roasted Tomatoes. Peppery Arugula acts as a bed for the patty. Firstly, the meat to bun ration is absolute perfect — I had to eschew exactly zero bun — this is very rare for me. Second is that Danish Blue Cheese which is incredibly soft, tangy to the point of «zippy» and absolutely delicious. Lastly, the Burger is juicy but not at all greasy. I could have went without the Mushrooms(and will next time) but I have a stone cold lock of a Burger now in Fullerton and for that I have only Burger Parlor to thank. It would be remiss for a true disciple of Burgers to not get a this notch on their belt but heed my(and Unilocal’s) general warning: Stay away from The Parlor Burger.

I’ve heard only great things about this burger joint, and now I can see why! I came on a Saturday afternoon, and it was packed! Nevertheless, we were still seated quickly, and the staff was very accommodating, considering we had a large group. Our orders came quickly, and everything was hot and fresh! We began with appetizers and what are burgers without fries?! We ordered the Sriracha fries, the salami cheese fries, and regular French fries, and they were all absolutely perfect! Although the Sriracha fries didn’t taste much like Sriracha, it had an extra spicy kick to it that I loved! The salami cheese fries are a little heavy so I suggest sharing this one. I ordered the Kali burger, and avocado lovers rejoice! This burger was delicious, cooked to perfection, and loaded crushed avocado, smoked bacon, provolone cheese, peppers, caramelized onions, arugula and a chipotle aioli. I love trying new things but I have a feeling I’ll be ordering this burger over and over again each time I come. If you find yourself in Downtown Fullerton, I highly recommend the Burger Parlor! Tasty, fresh, and a super friendly staff! They also have an outdoor seating area if you want to bring your furry friend!

4.5 stars With so many burger joints to choose from, Burger Parlor met my specific needs for that night: — beer — good burgers that I didn’t have to customize or build myself — beer(no not a typo) Shared the Portland(which is their vegetarian). Basically, it is a block of fried cheese, beets, and bean sprouts on a patty. I also got their burger of the day(each day of the week has something different). I got whatever was their Friday special and it was good… but I can’t say memorable since I can’t remember what was in it besides goat cheese. Lastly, I loved their DTF Chili fries… amazingly bad for you but tasty. I loved their secret sauce on there, the fries were cooked nicely and managed to still have a crunch to them, and the chili was seasoned quite well. It would be dangerous if I worked in that area… I’ll be back to explore other burgers on their menu and couple it with dem fries! YUM

Omg! By far, the BEST Burgers in the UNIVERSE. I had the Smokey and my friend had the old fashion with Onion rings and fries. The onion rings were beer battered Omg! Yummy, I wish everyone prepares their onion rings this way. The Saracha fries were nice and cruncy, for me, it was a pinch too salty, but still yummy. The customer service is way above average from the moment we walked in. The cashier acknowledges you loud and proud, then asked if it was your first time there. Which helps a lot, because we have no idea what to order without her assistance. Her recommendations were on par. In addition, the Manager came by to check with us if everything was ok. As for the price, for me, it was worth it, but others may find it a little pricy. It costs $ 27.04 for two burgers, order of onion rings/fries combination and a drink. The place was immaculate, including the furnitures and restroom. Believe it or not, no yeaky crumbs to sit on. Definitely will be back very soon :) Customer Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Quality: 5⁄5 Quantity: 4⁄5 Price: 5⁄5 Tips: The meat patty comes medium well(highly recommended) so if you want rare, well done, etc, make sure you inform the cashier at time of order. Although the patty is nice and thick, some may find the bread itself a little small. As for me, it was perfect, but I don’t eat very much at one seating. Just very often Lol. As tips for Burger Parlor, it would be awesome if you guys serve garlic fries. Maybe someday.

Though I am not a burger lover, I do enjoy the new creative burger shops. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed at this one *Philly cheese steak: Yes, I know I should have order a burger but none caught my attention more than the cheese steak. It had lots of mushroom, and a very heavy pinkish sauce. I ate half and gave the other half to hubby *Salami cheese fries: a big waste. The fries were smothered with thick, «grainy“cheese, green onions and thinly cut salami. I ate like 2 fries and didnt want more. Neither did my friends who tried it I did have a bite of the Smokey burger just to see if I had just ordered the wrong items but it was just ok. Definitely a bit salty, maybe because of bacon? What did not disappoint was the Cap n crunch shake. I had a sip from my friend’s and my belly smiled. I ended up ordering the Cinammon toast one and it was good but sweeter as expected. The shakes were very thick, which I liked. Our server was attentive and funny. If I ever go back, it would be for the shakes.

Burger Parlor 1. What is it like inside? The restaurant is modern and chic with plenty of seating. There are a number of TV’s throughout the restaurant, so The Burger Parlor makes for a great venue to catch a sports game. 2. What sets Burger Parlor apart from other restaurants? — Burger Parlor offers 100% hormone free patties and high quality ingredients. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but the burger patty is quite thick. — The staff members are very hospitable and friendly, offering a smile as soon as you walk in the door and willing to answer any questions you have about the menu. 3. What should you get here? The cashier cited the Smokey as the most popular burger on the menu(ordered 2:1 relative to all other burgers). She also recommended the Nashville BBQ and OC as runners-up. We ordered: — Smokey — beef patty, smoked bacon, crispy onions, cheddar, arugula, oven roasted tomato, chipotle aioli: The burger was well seasoned and melded well with the bacon and cheese. The crispy onions added a welcome crunch to every bite. — The Hangover — 50% chorizo/50% beef patty, white cheddar, avocado, smoked bacon, and a fried egg: This burger is a daily special that is only offered on Sundays, so of course, we were inclined to try it. The chorizo really elevates the flavor of the burger: it’s spicy, it’s juicy, and it’s delicious. Add some avocado, bacon, cheese, and a sunny side up egg, and you’ll know why it’s named The Hangover. — Sriracha fries — fries with Srirarchi-flavored seasoning — The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We enjoyed the extra kick from the Sriracha seasoning that generously coated the fries. They were delicious dipped in the feta ranch sauce. We would return to Burger Parlor if are ever in the Fullerton area.
