I come here regularly, and I mostly have pretty good service. But the service we just had was not good at all, they treated us ok. Like the food took like a half hour and then my brother’s food came out 10 min after everyone else. I would understand if this happened at a another restaurant but we pay to much and expect to much for this.

HUGE thank you to Micah! Being in a customer service base industry for a LONG time, it is refreshing when you come across the level of professionalism and customer service I expect from my employees. In spite of a situation that was more than unpleasant, Micah went out of his was to make sure it was addressed. The manager that came by was a great representation of the company and was very apologetic about the situation. The rude waitress will go unmentioned as hopefully she has moved on to a job where she doesn’t have to serve others. Do what ever you need to do to keep Micah on staff please. Food was great as usual too.

My wife and I came here for lunch about a week ago, and where impressed by the extremely speedy service. We were in a rush and didn’t have enough time to have a proper meal, so we went and sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and got her order in as soon as we sat down, which allowed our order to be served in 20 minutes. We ordered the crabcakes, crawfish, lobster bisque, and a few drinks; all of which were magnificent in every way. So much so, that I didn’t mind the slightly high bill. Please check it out and try a little of everything in order to find what you will love in the future.

I tried the crawfish platter with fries. Honestly wish they gave me less fries more of the crawfish platter. I already told the call assistance that I don’t like fries. They gave me more than half of the to go box of fried crawfish. I just ate the other half. And also the price was very expensive. Cheesecake wasn’t that special. I would save $ 7 for cheesecake factory. So next time? I will just order crawfish platter if I am really missing the flavor. 4 stars for that!

This is my first time in Texas and my friends took me here for seafood. I had a blast, the food was excellent along with an excellent server. The restaurant is really good considering it’s a chained. I wish there was one in New York, it’s so much better than Red Lobster!!!

Took my legally blind aunt there this evening. We buried her husband today who died of a sudden death. She was grieving and wanted to get some food after an exhausting week of funeral planning and grieving. Unfortunately, we were seated at Colt’s(the waiter) table. From the instant we sat down, Colt was not only condescending to me when I asked if a particular dish was spicy,(stating several times in his explanation of the level of spiciness of the dish that it was a «Louisiana themed restaurant» like I was an idiot) he was rude to my grieving aunt who requested a pot of tea instead of just a cup. She got a little upset with the way he was treating her and said, «I’m sorry if I am being picky. I just buried my husband today and I’m a little upset.» She should not have had to divulge that information to a stranger. If he was a better waiter, he would have learned by now that being passive aggressive with your customers is not the best way to get a good tip.

I absolutely love Pappadeauxs and come here every chance we get! Tonight was my annual birthday dinner treat and it was very disappointing, not because of the food but the service was horrendous! We each ordered an entrée but requested a greek salad to start our meal off with. Time passes and our drinks are empty, we had also ordered a bottle of wine and were brought wine glasses with water in the bottom of them. We can deal with that but as time passes, we catch our server and ask for bread and butter. Five minutes later, he brings out my entrée but no one else’s. I kind of look surprised and asked him what about our Greek salad? I like to eat my salad before my entrée. His response was“nobody brought you a salad?” At which point my spouse said just cancel the salad because he also prefers the salad before the entrees. And as we were waiting for drinks to be re-filled, the other two guests were served their food. My grandson ordered king crab legs and rec’d the crab with no crab cracking tool or small fork. We had to ask for the crab tools and my grandson got them a few minutes before he finished his crab. At the end of the meal, we finally received the bread but no butter. When we asked him for butter, he stated«oh it’s in the kitchen, in the back.» What? I guess I’ll go to the kitchen in the back and borrow some. Our drinks were never re-filled. We spent almost $ 200 and were very disappointed. I could understand if they were extremely busy or something but it was slow and a laid back evening. I guess I’m going to have to find a new seafood restaurant for my special occasions. The food is wonderful but the service was disappointing. I gave two stars for the lousy service. Second Visit Today is March 19th and we have returned to Pappadeauxs. I must acknowledge the service has vastly improved. Our server named Stephen was professional and very attentive to his tables. Great job Stephen! The food as always was quite delicious! Due to delicious food, an attentive server, today I give 5 stars! If I had one thing that wasn’t up to par is how slow the bar is to deliver the drinks to the server. It wasn’t even busy, but the bar was slow. Otherwise, I still love Pappadeauxs!!! Again, give Stephen a raise!

If you like fried seafood, you can get some decent entrees at Pappadeauxs. It’s not the best but it’s consistently mediocre. As far as the atmosphere: They have a great patio for pre-dinner drinks in nice weather. The bread that comes to the table before the entrees is one of my favorite parts! I have to stop myself from devouring several loaves before the main course arrives. This place gets PACKED during dinner time and it gets LOUD. Sometimes, having a conversation can be difficult. Staff is pretty attentive and on the ball, given that it’s a large, busy restaurant. They do have call ahead seating, which helps cut down on wait times. Prices are about $ 10 – 15 an entrée, depending on what you order as well as market prices. Drinks are a bit expensive as well but they do have fun specialty drinks. All-in-all, you’ll eat a decent meal here with good service and nice ambiance.

Today I had the gumbo which was excellent except I thought it could be a little hotter in temperature not seasoning. I also tried the crab cakes which I thought were excellent but I wasn’t too thrilled about the shoestring potatoes on top. I know it makes a nice crunch I think it it hides the flaky lump crab meat so I pushed to the side. I thought the crawfish topping was good here again I think it could be hotter in temperature felt like it was cold and I thought the crawfish were a little chewy so that’s my only food complaint. I sat outside on the patio it’s a beautiful day but I was horrified when one of the waitresses was dusting the bread crumbs with her hand off the table next to me right at me, very unusual. So this visit not quite 5 stars like my last visit.

Pappadeaux is amazing and this is probably my favorite place to go for seafood! I always order the stuffed crab along with a side of gumbo and banana pudding for dessert! Let me tell you, the banana pudding is to die for. The service is always great and they always know the whole menu front in back in case you have questions. They even offer little suggestions. The interior of the place is nice and the lights are dimmed. They keep the place very clean and if you keep up with my reviews you know that is a plus for me!

Firstly it’s pappadeaux’s and your fully aware of what you’re getting. Secondly I believe no matter where you find one they’re pretty consistent. I’m a fan, more so of the Houston locations. I believe due to me thinking the seafood is fresher than anywhere else because of proximity to the gulf. I’m usually big on eating my seafood in the restaurant. My Wife and I are love hot and fresh seafood. We most definitely enjoy eating at a nice establishment. We looked up the menu online and chose our options and I called them in. The drive wasn’t too far away from our temporary living quarters. I got over there and had to wait about 5 minutes on my order. The to go cashier was nice enough give me a free drink while I waited. I got my food, checked it and was out. When I got back to our temporary living quarters things were still pretty hot. We both dove in and were whipped by those meals very quickly. The meals we had are for sharing and holding over for later. The quality was about as expected though. I thank the cooks for realizing salt is a seasoning and not a main course. You know some chefs/cooks don’t realize that. Anyway I believe if we’re ever up this way staying I’d go again but taking the Wife instead of taking out.

One of my fav Cajun/seafood spots. Wouldn’t say the best seafood ever(still good), but I like the atmosphere and service here. Also, I love the desserts here. They have the best cheesecake and crème brûlée ever! Yes that might sound gross with seafood, but take some to go!

Sign up for their email club before your visit, they send out a coupon for a free appetizer!(we ordered the traditional shrimp cocktail, very good!) For lunch I had the blackened catfish and redbeans w/rice. It was very yummy! Serving was big enough that I didn’t finish and took some home.

I finally did it. I have finally had a lunch at the famous Pappadeaux. We went here for lunch after a business meeting. I thought I was never going to eat. It took so long to get here. I also wasn’t too fond on the idea of eating at a chain. The menu looked exactly like what I had asked for. I asked for Cajun. They got me Cajun. I ordered a lunch portion of the Mardi Gras Pasta with a cup of gumbo on the side. Looking back I wish I had just ordered the gumbo, which was awesome-opossum, as my meal. I don’t know what their idea of a «lunch» portion is, but this could have fed four of me. One thing I hate is wasting food, and I wasted a whole lot this day. I was especially sad when they brought the desert tray out and the sight of it made me sick to my stomach because I was so full, but I controlled myself. It was a good time, but not my favorite. It definitely was good, but not worth the hour or more wait I had to survive to get to food.

We’ve been dining here for years! The only time we really eat here now though is when my husband gets gift cards during the holidays from his work. Even though they changed the sauce on my favorite – Mississippi Catfish Opelousas, I forgive them and never had a bad meal here. A few months ago, we went and I had the sword fish. First time trying sword fish and it was amazing. I went to Sprouts and Central market the next day looking for sword fish. I was going to get sword fish to cook for dinner. I soon realized that I wouldn’t be able to cook it like Pappadeaux’s can and didn’t get any. lol Last week we went for lunch. I had the Costa Rican Mahi Alexander. It usually comes with dirty rice, but I got broccolini. My meal was delicious!
