Speedy Mart

They quit selling Viagra. But this is still a fan of this convenience store.
A while back, this place became more famous than the other Friendswood gas stations for selling Viagra over-​the-​counter.
But no longer. Police told them to stick with beer, gas and cigarettes, I guess. They really seemed not to realize that they were breaking the law.
They’ve been taking a lower profile since then. This convenience store /​/​gas station used to be a Citgo (and two or three other brands before that.) Now has no sign whatsoever — not even a ‘Speedy Mart’ sign — except the gas-​price posting. But the gas here is always $ 0.12/gal cheaper than its nearest competitor (a Mobil station a block away.)
In their parking lot, they have used-​clothing drop-​off boxes for two different charities. I pay a bit extra here for the convenience for quickly getting milk, but not too bad a gouge. Heck, it’s a convenience store. Guy behind the counter always seems happy to chat with me.
