«Well the water was good,» exact words from my girlfriend and father. We had the fish and chips, chicken wrap, and the mozzarella sticks. All of which was subpar at the best and for the most part really bad. The coleslaw was probably the worst I ever had. Oh and as an added bonus the chef stuck his head out the window and yelled to my girlfriend who was on a picnic table across the street: «what up b*^$h.» Very classy. There’s to many good restaurants on the island to go to this overpriced, nasty, crap shack.

I’m gonna tell you what’s up Friday Harbor, just spent a week here from New Mexico, not only am I disappointed at the lack of thank you’s and have a nice day, but I’ve also noticed that the«locals» get served and extra special attention, while I feel like I’m the red headed step child! The lack of customer service in the local restaurants is very sad considering this town counts on tourists. I at one time wanted to move here, but I no longer want to adopt this poor attitude by the locals. Y’all need to work on being more friendly… That’s my «tip» to you! Nachos were good thou!

Super friendly ladies. We needed a place for the husband to watch basketball and a place I could just drink beer and hangout. The food was ok. The beer was skittle pricey, but it’s a small island.

Service is excellent, although it was Memorial Day weekend and very busy, the girls were so gracious and patient. The clam chowder is awesome, crab tater tots is awesome, we had the special for the Friday dinner(prime rib), my sister in law had a problem with getting her prime rib cooked the way she wanted it(well done) but then again who the heck eats prime rib well done? Mine was med rare and was good, The Caesar salad was pretty good too. We liked it and would come back again the next time we come to San Juan Island. For a good dinner for a good price that won’t break your wallet, I highly recommend this place, and oh the desert was very good, we ate the deep dish Apple caramel, and the molten chocolate cake and it was excellent.

I’m pretty fussy with French Dip sandwiches — don’t like stringy meat. I visited this place twice in two days and both times got the French Dip — YUM! Service is very good and so is the food.

This place is best described as «meh». The food was fine, just nothing to write home about. It was a little pricey considering the quality of the food, but I feel that is to be expected in a little tourist stop. Their portions are good size and the service was pleasant… I believe the fact that I can’t think of anything else to say(good or bad) speaks for itself.

I don’t know why this place only has 3 stars on Unilocal.I’m glad we ignored it and tried it anyway. Huge selection. Huge portions. Great value. Excellent service. We went with another couple and each chose an item to share. We had pizza, fries, Siracha bites, nachos and pulled pork sliders. None disappointed us. It was a fun evening.

Great place to watch games, especially the Hawks. Food is your standard pub fare type offerings with portions being on the larger side. We typically split an entrée and a salad but not huge eaters. Laid back atmosphere like most of the island. Blt’s, pizza, and Caesar salad are our go-to’s. If they have the ice cream pie don’t miss it.

Horrible service years ago by a woman who claimed to be the owner. Nice to see some things never change.

Every person in our party enjoyed what they choose for lunch. TBM sandwich and tomato soup — bomb. BLT add avocado — bomb. Moody Blue — bomb. Grilled cheese with sweet potato fries — great… but not bomb. The kids loved their food too, but why wouldn’t they?

Good pizza. We got it to go and ate it in our hotel room. Staff was friendly and the food was made quickly.

Recommended to us by a local we were excited to give this place a try. Unfortunately they burnt the mozzarella sticks the French dip had way over cooked beef and the broth tasted like piss not to mention the soups tasted like they were from Campbell’s what a horrific experience. What really bothered me the most though was this waitress on her cell phone the entire time we were there the service was piss poor as well.

Went twice during my weekend stay. First just for a quick«lunch» after a day of exploring the island. Had a plate of nachos to share and couple of draft beers. Nachos were excellent and the beer was cold! Also the service was excellent. Went back for dinner, had the chicken fried bacon burger, excellent breading, juicy chicken breast, well cooked bacon. Fries were a little bland, though. Service was still good, and the beer still cold!

Typical bar food, spacious and kid friendly. Kids grilled cheese is ginormous for 5.99… Really it’s an adult portion. Burger was ok, big bun, small patty. Everything reminded me of the same quality as a sherries or Denny’s. Not sure I’d be back.

I wanted to give 5 stars, but the use of canned Jalapeños kept me from the perfect rating. The Nachos were amazing — about the best I’ve ever had out. Large, loaded with cheddar, olives, green onions, small diced ripe tomatoes and canned Jalapeños. And Cilantro. We added ground beef. They were amazing. The burgers and salads were good, and the chicken wings mediocre. Overall, a very good restaurant with many options. For a tourist town, I was pleasantly surprised.

I stopped into Haley’s because it was one of the only restaurants serving food after 10 p.m. in Friday Harbor. I was really impressed with the service. The waitress clearly kept a close eye on my table to make sure I had everything I wanted quickly, even though she was also covering the bar area. I also ordered a slice of the caramel apple pie to go. The waitress wrote the heating instructions on the box, so I’d be able to warm it up at home which was a very nice touch.

Our third stop of the evening and by far my favorite bar on the island. Our waitress was super awesome, letting us stay quite late in spite of the fact they were shutting down to clean the carpets. She moved us into a booth so we could continue our chatty shenanigans while they moved all the chairs. She recommended the nachos to soak up some of our boozy mistakes, and they were AMAZING. We’ll definitely be back when we return to Friday Harbor.

*Good pizza, cold beer and friendly servers *Wish they had an outdoor deck for those summer days *Locally owned and operated, great spot to grab a bit before the ferry
