He recently moved his shop to San Jose(late 2012), but I do not have the new address yet. I have had multiple orders with him for my Bedroom Furniture Pieces and to match a custom desk he made for me in a natural oak finish. Mark is awesome, he worked with me to modify an existing desk that he previously built, so I could reverse it or change the 3-piece alignemnt based upon which room I was going to put it into during a recent move. He has also made custom shelves for me to match the cherry finish for some other cabinets purchased elsewhere. My brother originally referred me to him 2008 and I have ultized his ervices ever since. In March 2012 I purchased a fine Oak dining table with chairs and a entertainment center. Mark delivered everything all alone, did all the set up– and had a smile the entire time. Love this guy. Give him your business. He works hard to make it happen the way you want it. The furniture is GREAT and will last forever.

I thought that I was being a little nice at first(I’m known for being nice, and if you don’t understand why, you can go to he … aven). My wife and I have, after all, purchased a number of items from Mark over the years. The past month has proven, though, why 5 stars is warranted. Mark delivered 3 items to our house on 11⁄22. They were ordered on 10/16, and ready in early November. Mark only had our old phone number, though(I thought that he had my wife’s cell phone number too, but he didn’t). As a result, he couldn’t contact us(like any reasonable person, he’s only going to show up at someone’s house if he knows that they’re home). He wrote us a letter, and it finally reached us a week ago(we receive most of our mail within a few days, but some items have been delivered late). Anyway, it’s our fault that we didn’t receive the items sooner(I should have looked at my copy of the receipt earlier). It only took Mark about 10 minutes to place the items inside(he positioned them exactly where we wanted). He then bolted the CD cabinet to the wall(when he returns next time, he’ll bolt the CD cabinet we bought from him earlier to the wall). He used a small bracket that he was very proud of(pointing to it and smiling–«You can hardly see it»). We really like it too. I’m impressed with the new CD cabinet. It’s not very apparent(this is good, as they’re situated very close to each other), but it looks even better than the other one. The bookshelf Mark delivered is also great. I just wish that I had ordered a taller one(I’m a bigger nerd than I thought). As I expected, a porch step was lightly damaged. Mark used a heavy blanket to cushion them, but all 3 items had to be brought in on a dolly. I can’t blame Mark for having to use one. He was careful, and took his time(I would be more bothered if the porch was new, but it’s definitely not). A hutch and a smaller CD cabinet(for my wife) are being delivered soon. The hutch was made in Sacramento(Mark also has a contact in L.A.), and it wasn’t brought to Mark this week because of the weather(I usually like when it rains, but not always). The hutch was a special order because of the specifications we wanted(the top and bottom are each 3′ tall– many hutches have a gap in between where you can place things, but we didn’t want one). Mark’s penmanship isn’t the greatest, but he’s great at drawing(my wife and I discovered this last Saturday). This is important in terms of special orders(the drawing of our hutch is good and meticulous– it’s very clear what the hutch should look like). We also learned recently that Mark is married and has a baby(because of his age, I’m guessing that he and his wife have more than one child). There must be a back room that we haven’t seen, as the smell of «shitty diapers»(I’m honestly quoting my wife here) lingered in the air of the store a few weeks ago. The smell wasn’t that bad(oh, I can’t wait when soiled diapers become a regular part of my life– my wife and I are trying to start a family, and I’m also getting old), and we were really the only customers around. Mark ordered the hutch for us before I paid him for it. We’re regulars, though, and we made it clear that he should order it. If you buy something from Mark, expect to pay for it right away(I don’t want to mislead anyone, or for Mark to be taken advantage of). They’re too small, but Mark gave us some pins for my wife’s old bookshelf(nobody knew that they were too small at the time). Unless my wife finds her old pins(they should be around somewhere), we’ll simply ask Mark for larger ones. It’s always a pleasure doing business with Mark. He’s a good man who makes quality furniture.
