We were sent here by recommendation of a bartender up the street who told us it was probably the last place open in town that late where we could get some decent food. So after walking across about fifty sets of railroad tracks we arrived at DJ’s, minutes before the kitchen closed. The bar was pretty busy for a Thursday night but our bartender, a delightful blond haired girl whose name I can’t remember, made sure the kitchen waited for us to figure out what we wanted. I ordered a smoked prime rib sandwich while my friend ordered a hot ham & cheese. I don’t think it was just because we were starving, this food was really, REALLY good. If you want are in Fremont and are looking for a fund local dive with good food, this is the place.
