I’ve finally found my barber shop.
The hunt has taken me a few years, and I even knew about CFBS, but never stopped by. I made an appointment with Anna, and she is now MY barber.
Cool space, great barbers, laid back and chill vibe; can’t wait for my next haircut so I can go back.
And…she gave me a straight edge razor trim on the back of my neck with warm shaving cream… I damn near fell asleep in the chair.

Phenomenal haircuts at cheapo prices. They even give you free beer and snacks.

Patrice is fantastic. She’s efficient, she works quickly, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. I also take my 3-​year old son there because she’s wonderful with kids too.
The thing I love about it is you’re getting a very personable, customized experience for a very reasonable price.
They’ve also got a lot of excellent advice for different care products for men such as beard balms and styling wax.
I’m glad Frederick has Citizen Frederick.

Seriously underwhelmed after hearing good things. I’d like to start off by saying I waited 40 minutes after my appointment before I sat down in Ann’s chair while Patricia was walking around waiting for a client for half that time. Had she asked, all I needed was my neck and beard trimmed. This is what I told Ann as I finally sat in her chair while tugging on the bottom of my beard (mostly under my chin/​jaw) stating I did not want to sacrifice any length — only to get it off the neck a little and fade the top of my beard into my sideburns. Besides being very slow, I look up — she shaved the underside of my beard to my jaw line leaving a little under the chin long and didn’t at all fade my beard into my sideburns. This is not what I meant when I was tugging on that very hair saying I would not sacrifice it. After having her fade it several times, I was finally ready to get out of there. When I go to pay, it’s 35 dollars –Get to my car and guess what? 40 dollar parking ticket. 80 dollars to have my beard taken away slowly over 2 hours. Will never be going back nor will I recommend to any one.

In the next step on the quest for my son’s decent haircut (he’s 16… we’ve been at this for a while), we may have reached Avalon. Read some decent reviews of CFBS on the line, so thought we’d give ‘em a go.
Patrice saw to our needs this Sunday and did not disappoint! She was finishing up with another client. In the time it took my son to checkmate at the chess board (not long considering I, well, suck at chess), Patrice was ready to start with my son.
This is when the timer instinctively starts, waiting for his transformation into some classical Greco-​Roman boy band lookalike.
Not this time!!!. Patrice was attentive to his requests and adeptly interpreted them into a great head of hair.

After taking a liking to the Citizen Frederick style, I was very excited to hear they were opening a barber shop. Since opening, I’ve been a frequent customer, enjoying precise and stylish haircuts, shape ups, and shaves from Patrice the master barber.
I’ve found the CF Barber shop to be more than just a barber shop. Dan and Patrice’s skills in not only cutting hair and trimming beards, but in conversation add a social aspect to the shop missing in most modern barber shops. Patrice is fantastic at listening carefully and paying close attention to detail in order to create exactly the look you’re going for.
The shop has a huge selection of fine men’s grooming supplies. You can tell it’s handpicked to be tailed to the CF brand and often made by local vendors. Also, the stock is constantly growing in exciting ways to include a greater variety of not only premium hygiene items, but also carry overs from the main shop like bags and attire.
I would highly recommend a stop by the Citizen Frederick Barber Shop. Enjoy the atmosphere and confidence that comes from a fantastic haircut & shave.

This place was incredible. First off, it has a great classy vibe. Second, they have awesome customer service. I am a U.S. Military member and was looking to get my fade done for a special occasion. Patrice took care of me. She really took her time and explained to me that she thought of hair as an art. She even did the fade with scissors/​comb which I have never seen before. I will definitely be coming back.

Finally an excellent barber shop in Frederick. This place is awesome. Everyone is nice and welcoming. The space is great. Really masculine. Love the products they sell but most of all great barbers. I am so happy. Patrice is awesome. You guys will know her from another downtown barber shop. Stop in and give it a try. Great price point too.

Over the last few years I have been searching far & wide for barbershop that suits my needs and it looks like I have finally found it! I went in yesterday for a hair cut and beard trim by their master barber, Patrice. Patrice and her apprentice were genuinely kind and helpful, by the end of my visit I felt I had made two new friends! My beard has never looked better and my hair is everything I have been searching for. I will be making the hour drive from my home in Virginia every two weeks going forward. I highly suggest checking them out!

I took my 7 year old son to see Patrice today and his hair looks so handsome. She did a great job of listening to his wants, while accommodating the needs of a little boy who might not ALWAYS want to style his hair. Citizen Frederick Barbershop is a wonderful extension to their men’s boutique. They truly go above and beyond!

Patricia did an excellent job and the rest of the staff was just as friendly. If you’re looking for a true barber shop that’ll take the time to ensure you’re getting your monies worth, be sure to check this place out. Known for their apparel store, the same attention to detail is here as well with hard to find hair and facial products.
