Brass & Copper Shop

We have taken several pieces to the shop for cleaning and polishing. Some were in such terrible condition that I thought nothing could be done. They all have been beautifully restored to their original finish. The work is top quality and the owner is helpful and friendly– a real artisan.

Great service from a true professional who is passionate about his work. Expect to wait, but it’s all worth it. If you care about the items you bring in to repair or polish, this guy cares even more! On the pricey side but you get what you pay for!

I brought an antique Pittsburgh reverse painted lamp to Don to be re-​wired. He looked it over and made a couple of other suggestions to improve it’s condition — and the end result is was excellent.
I highly recommend the Brass & Copper Shop. Great work and very fair pricing.

We had a combination gas and electric light from our circa 1895 home that we needed shortened and rewired.
They did a great job at a reasonable price. Friendly people.
As an example when I was checking out a call came in and the owner spent maybe 60 seconds answering a question. He then hung up and apologized for not running my credit card yet as that machine also used his phone line. Nice touch to acknowledge that I had to wait a second — I did not care but HE did.

I can’t believe that the brass desk lamp I got back from The Copper and Brass Shop is the same one I dropped off. It looks that good! Lamp was completely rewired, brass was shined to perfection and the shade was freshly painted. I would definitely use this service again and recommend it to anyone!

Don is second to none. Went into the Brass and Copper shop unsure of what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with a large selection for sale, as well as very reasonable prices. We’ve gone back numerous times (sometimes with lights that seemed unfixable) and Don has always brought them back to life in a flash. There’s a reason this place has been in business for so long.

I had two antique brass reading lamps that matched and were essential to a reading corner used frequently. One of them stopped working and after I took it to another repair shop, i was told it was «unfixable» and I should throw it away! I was sick… I left it there and began to search the internet for another one. I turned up only a similar one for $ 450. I ordered it but it was backordered and so I was just waiting. A friend mentioned that Don at the Brass and Copper Shop fixed her lamps so I made one last attempt to get it fixed and went back to get the lamp. When I took it to Don, he was leaving early the next morning for 16 days vacation. But he said if you have a few minutes, I will look at it. it was completely fixed in less than 30 minutes!!! He said that he was determined to fix it mainly because someone else had said it was unfixable. He believes he can fix anything and he enjoys the challenge! I found him to be extremely competent and especially helpful and cordial. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs something repaired! Give him a chance!
