Some Jersey natives claim the superiority of New Jersey bagels. The Bagel Tree unashamedly makes New York-style bagels, and they’re quite good at it, even if they are an approximation. In addition to a wide assortment of bagels they offer bagel sandwiches with egg, cold cuts, and such.

Listen, If you go to their store on a weekend morning you’re going to be in line for a while. You know why that is? It’s because this is the best place to get food for miles. Not just bagels either(Which superbly triumph over all others in the area) but their actual food is class act in all fields. This is my go-to breakfast place. The prices are great for what you get. The staff move quick and are friendly even when the place is bumpin. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a gem of an eatery in desolate wasteland of fast food restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets which inhabit the nearby area.(ATM on site, Cash Only)

Bagels are hard and not tasty. The cashier got my bagels and didn’t use gloves. Dirty

I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. I grew up with bagel tree and it’s the first place I hit when I come home to visit from Arizona! There is nothing like a TEC from bagel tree. French toast bagels are THEBEST! The bagels are so good and the prices are great. Go to Arizona and have a bagel and come back and get bagel tree. Shit is the BOMB.

Stopped by the bagel tree for breakfast on the way to mountain creek to ski. The bagel sandwiches were very good and filling. The service was also relatively fast. Would stop by there agiain

This place used to rule! Had not been in years and a few days ago stopped in. My bagel was stale and the cream cheese tasted off. Waste of money

The Bagel Tree’s bagels have decreased in quality recently. They don’t seem as fresh as they once were — often hard all the way through. I’ve moved my bagel loyalty to Hamburg Hot Bagels in Hamburg, NJ — just 10 minutes away.

The«Tree» has been a big part of my summer weekend life for over 5 years now. But as of late they have gone downhill, quickly. The straw that broke the camel’s back? A stale bagel. I am sorry but that is unacceptable. It was like a hockey puck. A can see if I was at a coffee place and ordered a bagel and was disappointed by it, as that is not their specialty. But their name has the word bagel in it. It would be like I went to the Steak Tree and bit into a raw piece of steak.

Everytime I go the bagels are as hard as a rock– Id rather travel a little further and get something better, You spend quite a bit waiting for your food-service is hit or miss they dont take credit/debit which is always a hassle Ehhh-Just so many other places that are better

Three stars for the bagels. They’re solid, but too big – to full of air. The smaller, more dense bagels are my preference, but in general you’re seeing less of that on the East Coast. I guess this way places can charge more, and people feel like they’re getting more. But an extra star for the coffee and service. Good selection of coffee and creamers and generally personable and fast service. Their egg sandwiches are also very solid.

They have the best bagels in Sussex County. But that comes with a price. I mean, you have to wait for your order to be taken and then have to wait awhile to have your order made. Then when you get your order, they don’t know what you ordered and then you open the bag and it’s the wrong order. I constantly had that problem. So I don’t go here anymore. I would rather go to Hamburg Bagels, with no line or small line, they get the order right and the people know you by name. As for the price of the merchandise, it is a bit more expensive than other bagel places, probably because they have to hire some much staff. Wait, isn’t that contradictary to waiting, YES. That why it’s so enigmatic. So many people to wait on you but you wait for your order. Obviously, the system they have in place is flawed. Need better processes. If you can wait, the bagels are worth it.
