Bagel Way

We love the The Bagel Way — I get coffee and breakfast a couple times a week — Coffee is Excellent — I also bring back bagels and/​or sandwiches for the office and they are always a hit — Nice to have a Great Bagel Place in Sussex Wantage!

Poor attitude from the lady behind the counter who’d never heard of a chicken BLT. She then gave the order to the cook as she made faces. The wrap was ok at best. Additionally, it’s a cash only business (with ATM).

If I go to a bagel place on a Saturday morning, I expect a halfway decent bagel. I got an everything, French toast, and a lame excuse for a blueberry bagel. The bagels were hard, tasteless, and the blueberry had absolutely no blueberry in it except for a few vague splotches of a bluish color. Don’t waste your money on this place.

Awesome spot with fantastic bagels. We’ve had sandwiches here quite a few times and are pleased BUT I placed an order (and these are the ONLY few reasons I’m giving it 3 stars) is one lady was fairly rude with quite the mean mug. Leave your attitude at home, I’m a kind customer who brought you respect and I expect it in return. The other decided she was going to give her friend 3 bagels for free in front of a line of people. Plain and simple, you don’t do that in front of new customers or any customers AT ALL. If you know each other than take care of the order over the phone and make the «free of charge» perk noted over the phone and just go pick your bagels up. It’s downright rude and disrespectful! I ordered a potato, bacon, egg and cheese, which the order was written correctly in front of me and I arrived home to open a regular bacon egg and cheese but was charged for the earlier. Clearly, the cook didn’t read throughly enough. Although this isn’t drastic, it’s enough to make order out from the Double S if it’s habitual. Additionally and lastly, why are all bagels made with just scrambled eggs and why did I almost walk out with 2 bagels vs. 3 ?
Overall, a very great place but things need to be tightened up a tad. I do recommend this place but check your order when you leave.

Pretty decent bagels/​sandwiches. Staff is polite. Coffee isn’t bad either. Nice area to sit and eat. I did notice they seem to be a bit pricey for a bagel shop. Last time in 2 breakfast sandwiches and a large cup of coffee was about $ 12. Best bagel shop in the immediate Sussex/​Wantage area… it’s also the ONLY bagel shop in the immediate Sussex/​Wantage area. They should do well.
