I had NO idea it was so yummy!!!
The ice cream itself tastes similar if not exactly the same as McDonalds.
Which that’s where we were headed first, but the entire experience was awful, so we decided to check out Sonic, and BOY OH BOY am I so glad we did!!! We have been back 2 more times in the past couple weeks, and we aren’t even really an ice cream fam.
VISIT ONE:
Sonic Blast with Peanut Butter Cup (for me) & Sonic Blast with Heath (for the hubs), plus a «PUP CUP» for our sweet boston terrier we brought with us.
OVERALL — yummmmmmm
**NOTE — I finished ALL of my small one, and man I was so bloated. I didn’t realize it was SO much goodness.
VISIT TWO:
Real Ice cream sundae with strawberries (for both husband and I).
ONE SIZE, decent size $ 1.99 each.
and a PUP CUP!
VISIT THREE:
Same sundae as above for me, and husband got a strawberry milk shake — both amazing!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When you pay for a meal, do you like getting your change? If you do, then you’ll hate this Sonic.
We’ve experimented with this a few times. No matter what denomination you pay with and no matter what percentage of a difference there is between your transaction and the amount of legal tender that I have handed over, they will try to keep your change.
I’m sorry, but if I give you a $ 20 for my $ 1.08 Diet Cherry Limeade, I’m not offering you a 2000% tip for walking it ten feet to my car… which leads me to another thought…
A few weeks ago, I ordered a Diet Cherry Limeade — something that I’ve been ordering multiple times per week for the past few years since they decided to start putting diet cherry on the menu… the person taking my order over the speaker informed me that there was no such thing, but they could «put the diet cherry in the diet Sprite». Um… what the hell? Throw in a lime or two and Isn’t that exactly what a diet cherry limeade is?
Thank you for going above and beyond to make this «secret» concoction. I hope you don’t get fired.
I’m scared to order a hamburger there because I’m afraid they’ll tell me that they don’t have hamburgers, but they’ll stick some meat between two pieces of bread.

The old sonic is back and newly renovated after the May ’10 flooding. It’s bright and clean looking. The menu is classic Sonic. My husband ordered coffee at 5pm, and it was old and gross. But that beckons the question, why order coffee at Sonic at 5pm? If you want coffee, go down the street to Starbucks, but if you want Sonic, get one of their awesome drinks w/​flavors. Former customers should note that there is only one entrance now. There were two before the flood so that might throw you off a bit. Despite the icky coffee, I’m so happy to have Sonic open again!
