They have an attentive staff. I bought boots recently. I love my boots. The shop is clean. It is pretty compact in there. You have to go up metal spiral stairs to get to the boots. The prices are the going rate. They carry cowboy boots, belts, hats, jewelry, leather pants, socks, accessories. They have a larger selection than other similar stores I’ve visited. I would recommend this shop and I will be shopping there again soon.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment yesterday with a dear friend. I’ve passed it a thousand times on Rt 9. We walked in and you’re immediately hit with the smell of leather — it was nice. The building was once a house so it can be tight getting up the spiral staircase but it all adds to the charm. We went upstairs to the Big Bad Bootery to take a look at Frye boots. Moments after we started browsing we were joined by a male sales associate. I had a few questions about sizing and I got a little«Leather Boot 101» which was really helpful and interesting. He was personable but not pushy. While trying on boots we talked about some of the other great styles they had just gotten in from other brands. I tried on two pairs and decided on this gorgeous pair of Vintage Chocolate Harness boots that I don’t want to take off. My dear friend stole me away that morning to buy me my very first pair of Frye boots as a gift. The experience was only enhanced by the pleasant conversation with had with the staff and their wealth of knowledge. I will be supporting this great local business again. Soon, I hope!

Again I had a great experance with Walter Dyer Leather. I needed an alteration and they did it for me with no complaints and a freindly face. I love this place.

After completely giving up on finding a leather belt that didn’t fall apart after a month of use, I allowed myself to be dragged to «Walter Dyer is Leather» and expressed my grievances to the kind soul within. After 30 minutes of prodding and making a genuine ass of myself and my friend, she pleasantly offered to make me a belt to my specifications. I kindly declined, but this was appreciated and I bought a prefabbed one for 27 $ then I bought a belt buckle. I’m not much of a belt-buckle wearer, to be honest, I think they’re ostentatious. The one I found was an aztec design and was aesthetically appealing, so wtf(16 $). My friend also expressed satisfaction in his experience, whatever that’s worth. Thumbs up on a good experience.

Went back to check out the boots and realized this place is two in one. The downstairs is Walter Dyer Is Leather and the upstairs is Big Bad Bootery. I guess if you wear leather than you will probably wear boots too. Cool place for bikers, cowboy boots, leather bags too.
