If your looking for great beers on tap, friendly atmosphere, and outstanding pub pizza then this is your spot. Hands down best pub pizza I’ve ever had. They have local bands on the weekends as well.

My favorite place to grab a beer after work! They have 4 local beers from Jack’s Abby on tap which is awesome. My buddies and I meet up to play pool all the time. They have live music every weekend — an awesome place to grab a burger, listen to some great local bands, do karaōke on Sundays, and play Golden Tee!

Saw an excellent local band there. The room acoustics could be better though.
The food is excellent but a little overpriced. I’d still recommend their signature Tavern burger and onion rings. The drinks are more expensive than nearby bars though.
Visually, the place is a dump but that seems to work with the atmosphere.
The bartender and owner were very accommodating and nice.

Nice bar to go to with co-​workers on a Friday after work if you can get on base. On Sunday, all NFL games are shown and people bring food to add to a pot luck. Beer is cheap and they have a good selection.

Newton Upper Falls, MA
The Tavern Burger is one of the rare experiences of pure greatness. (see one upper) A fresh quality hand made patty encapsulated by pizza dough. The 2 stage process always includes fresh unlimited quality toppings which are baked inside to your order resulting in burger perfection.
If you appreciate the wings at Buffs Pub, this is a very similar experience. Park your car, run in, order one, then hang for your own hand held greatness experience.

I wish every bar were like this.
The layout is unique. You feel like you walked into the wrong place at first. That’s a good thing. Feels more like a friend’s basement than an actual bar.
The menu is small but features one of the greatest bar foods of all time. Dubbed the «tavern burger», you choose the toppings from a generously sized list. In leiu of a bun, the burger is wrapped completely in raw dough and baked, resulting in an absolutely delicious burger ball. At $ 8.95, it can’t be beat.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also feature a lot of live music.

A total «local bar» vibe where everyone is welcome. Paul, Christine, and the staff are all fantastic and truly make you feel welcome, whether there for a beer after work, grabbing one of the infamous Tavern burgers (seriously, those are nuts!), or you’re checking out a band. One of the few places in Metrowest that truly support local music, it’s always fun to hang out. Wouldn’t mind something other than Jack’s Abbey on tap, and the layout will surprise you, but never a bad time.

It is the only bar on Hanscom Air Force base. It has a great huge outside patio where you can drink and smoke. Food is served till 8 pm by IL Forno, they have a few restaurants established already. Decent food. Wings, burgers sandwiches, pizza and Italian meals as well. Drink and food prices are less expensive then waxy o conners down the road. First Friday of every month they have a live band. If you work or live on base I highly recommend stopping in for a good evening of food, drink and great service, even your pocketbook will appreciate it!

This place is a total hole in the wall – which is what makes it great! The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the beer is cold. Can’t ask for much more!
