I went for dinner with my family to Rasoi. We are vegetarians. We ordered cholay, paneer butter masala, and baingan dish. Sub par taste. Service was extremely poor. Will not visit this place again.

Unilocal restaurant reviews are out of control. This is an excellent restaurant that offers high-quality ingredients tastefully prepared.(I’m not a buffet person so can’t comment on that.) I’ve been impressed with their consistency over the past few years I’ve come here(and just noticed a few people posting unhinged reviews). As far as Unilocal reviews go, I’m sure that by now everyone’s had the experience of going to a restaurant with tons of positive reviews only to find it’s awful. Not hard to imagine the new thing is posting fake negative reviews for competitors, because there’s no way you’d get«the worst food ever» from this restaurant(note the reviewer who said that has only 2 reviews).

No idea how this place is still in business. The quality of food is bad. The taste is bad. The food served looks like something out of a ready made frozen packet. Ordered chicken tikka assuming it was a lunch special but was charged the full amount. It was probably the worst dish I had. Even Trader Joes frozen chicken tikka tastes much better! Don’t waste your time or money at this place. «Welcome» across the street or other Indian restaurants are worth the time and distance. Don’t be fooled by wasting your time and money.

This is the worst example of indian food ever. I am an Indian so I should know. I had the buffet and it wasnt worth even $ 1. The naans were stale. The chicken tikka masala was chicken cubes floating tomato paste. All in all a terrible experience. If you are looking for an Indian buffet the food at Minerva is a million times better even if their staff are rude.

We went to the lunch buffet and OMG it was horrible!!! No pride in the food and it was cold. The curry literally tasted like tomato sauce. The chicken was dry and all the food tasted bland and terrible. I would not recommend this place or ever go back!

Ordered off the menu, terrible. Both dishes gravy kofta and paneer tasted the same. I’m from Mumbai and the food here is terrible… Punjabi grill few blocks away rocks!..

My experience was not same as many others have written. We ordered Bhindi Masala and a Paneer dish. Bhindi was not cooked properly and did not taste good. Paneer dish was also not very good, but wasn’t bad either. I liked the ambience though. Service was quick but food was not up to my expectation.

Lunch buffet for a great price and good selection of favorites. Easy to get to on Route 9, close parking. Attentive and friendly service.

Average restaurant. If you cannot find any good restaurant then try here. I asked for Chicken 65 but they gave sauté’d tandoori chicken with spices and served. just average food. But thumps up for the ambience and good staff.

The curries and appetizers are not great. The service there is really good. I just hope they work on the spices in the dishes.

I love this place. The Chicken Sagwala and Keema Muder(spelling must be wrong) is delicious. The staff is always nice courteous and pleasant to my little ones. They gave my 5 year old a Mango Lassi one day while we waited for take out. I love it and travel a distance to eat there.

Went to a lunch buffet and there were no chicken tikka masala which is always part of indian buffets. Their naan was not fluffy and I think was not cooked fully or something. Honestly, I have yet to find a decent indian restaurant in metrowest!

If you really want to eat Indian food and have no option go to this average 3 ½ star Indian restaurant. Ordered mango martini it was very well made. Cabernet was also not bad. veg samosa was a little oily but tasty. Not a very good variety of chicken dishes. Chicken curry was delicious. Chicken tikka masala was very bad and tangy. Malai kofta was very tangy which usually you expect a little sweeter. This was a disastrous dish. So i ordered dal makhani and it turned out to be a good dish. When I complained about this tangy dish they didn’t charge me for it which was very kind. The ambience is very average indian restaurant. It is kids friendly. Not a lot Indians pock this as their first choice. Service was really good on a non busy Saturday night. I would not come here again unless i dont have any option.

Been a few Indian restaurants and this one is one of my favorites. Went for the lunch buffet a couple times. Excellent variety, warm food and the server always fills up the water. For around $ 10 you’ll be full. Chicken tikka masala is my favorite but they have lamb, vegetarian options too.

Dinner on a weeknight, the place was quite busy. Busy is good. I had a bit of a wait for getting my order taken and the food took a while, but busy is good. I had the lamb samosas to start and they were okay. Very hot, very well stuffed with chopped lamb, but the flavor wasn’t there. Kind of a bummer. For main, I ordered the lamb biryani with riata(a yogurt sauce) and mango chutney(a sweet sauce) and a traditional roti(flat bread). The lamb that was in the rice was excellent. Nice big pieces, very tasty and lots of them. The rest of the biryani had some good spice to it(plenty of riata cut it) but there was not much of the baked and mixed flavor of the onions, peas, peppers and cashews in there. Other than being spicy, it was bland. A very shallow flavor. The roti was not hot when it arrived, it had no flavor to it, and I took only two bites, leaving the rest. The mango chutney never arrived(and it wasn’t on my check). Next time, maybe I’ll just have a curry.

The food was delicious! We’ve enjoyed Indian and Pakistani food around the world and found this very tasty. The environment was pleasant. Our group of four was in town for business; this dinner was just what we were looking for.

Rasoi is definitely a hole in the wall but it’s OUR hole in the wall and we love it. We’ve had Indian food all over Boston and Rasoi is in the same league as the best of them. We go here almost every weekend. The service is not«slow,» it’s relaxed. They don’t hassle you and are always happy to come over and speed things up if you give them a little wave. The owner, Kal, seems serious but he’s actually a goofball. He’s always playing little tricks with our two year old. She feels right at home here. So, what’s good? Well they do all the favorites and they do them well. You can never go wrong with lamb saag or saag paneer, or chicken tikka(w/raita please!) or chicken tikka masala. I also really enjoy the botti(lamb) tikka. But their specialty dishes are where it’s at. Tandoori tikka dal and the lamb rogan josh, both great. If you like masala, try the chicken lebedar! You will not be disappointed. For an awesome veggie option, chana paneer masala. Also recently had the shahi paneer which was excellent. My bro-in-law, who lived in India for a time, ordered it and said it was on point. For an appetizer, we love the paneer tikka, and all of the fresh breads are good, especially the house naan! Wash it all down with local Framingham Jack’s Abbey beers. I love Smoke & Dagger(black lager). Goes with everything. The other awesome thing about Rasoi are the coupons! Every time you go, you get a buy one entrée, get one half off coupon for next time. Keeps us coming back(and back and back and back…). Seriously, try Rasoi. It’s the best. And Kal if you’re reading this, see you very soon. :)

This is a 3 ½ * place. based on 2 buffet visits Positives A) great sag paneer., kadhi pakoda, chole Food overall is good but can be great 1) 11.45 price is the lowest amongst other Indian weekend buffets 2) mild tasting creamy stuff. White people seem to like that 3) quiet setting I like it 4) limited choices makes you focus on few items and eat like a lunch should be Negatives 1) samosas have too much potato less peas, very bland 2) dal Makhni was very liquid, fail 3) gulab jamun seem to never change 4) vej Pulaav was too khila hua and flavorless 5) one of the waiter doesn’t smile despite my chaste Urdu Hindi . This place has lot of promise. It has kulfi I read made in house which I will visit again for

The lunch bunch buffet is a great way to try a variation of menu of menu offerings. The owners are always welcoming. Too many favorite to list but they will work with vegetarian, gluten and but issues in nearly every dish. The Naan variety is wonderful and never skip the chai tea. The onion chutney is spicy and has been my natural remedy to stave off seasonal colds this year. Love Rasoi and love supporting an independent restaurant.
