I have been going here for years and have never had bad food or a bad experience! I love it! Try the Lengua Burrito!

I went to Ernestos because it has 4.5 stars, I was also influenced by another reviewer that says its awesome like CA Mexican, Well he is wrong, average at best, The waitress was not friendly except towards the Mexican speaking Patrons:(I am living in FT worth for 3 months and will continue my search for the BEST Mexican place. Salsa was just ok and only one choice, chicken taco was bland and the chicken was mushy like it was boiled. Rice was absolutely bland so I poured salsa on it and it helped otherwise it would not have had any flavor, Beans were average as well, Not sure how it got 4.5 stars unless the bar is set low in this part of Texas, I will say if you want a cheap dinner and could care less about friendliness, taste, or atmosphere, this place is for you, I also waited for my check, there was one other couple in the place and finally had to take it to the counter, she asked me if I was ready, DUH! Good food, nice service and generous portions. It would be good if they accept card though. I would go there again.

Don’t let the neighborhood or exterior fool you! This place is all you’ll ever need for legit Mexican food. Cozy interior with about 8 – 10 tables. The menu is slightly complicated to read, doesn’t really have a flow, but eventually you’ll grasp it. Everything is so well seasoned and flavorful. The quality is not cheap by any means, but the meals are inexpensive and well worth it. Also, they have FLAN! Which is about the best thing on planet earth. Definitely will be back as a repeat customer. Note: Cash only!

This is a burrito review– freaking amazing burritos at a great price! I challenge you to find better. I have been going to Ernesto’s for years whenever I want some Mexican comfort food! I also once ordered a smörgåsbord of burritos(breakfast and non) for a work breakfast. They were very accommodating to what I needed and even had them prepared for me before their hours of operation. And I will repeat-at a great price. Everyone was going on and on about how awesome they were! If you are wondering if you should go try Ernesto’s the answer is yes.

this place was more than what I originally expected … the prices are super fair and the food is in big portions… I like the environment … it’s a native eatery to Fort Worth and you can tell … the service is excellent … I think I found my new hangout for that craving of good Mexican food

Quick service. Good tasting tacos. The place is small but clean and friendly. It’s not the nicest neighborhood, but it’s good.

Pretty authentic! Tried tacos. Good good. Different from Tex-Mex taste. Price is nice $ 1.49ish. Red sauce is spicy enough. I cried. The drink, white color w some spice is really good too. So happy this restaurant is near my place. They also do drive through.

TIP: CASHONLY Décor: 3.5÷5 –A bit small with about 7 – 8 tables Service: 5⁄5 –Servers were friendly and efficient –Food came out quick Food: 4⁄5 Ordered the number one three tacos with asada(beef), barbacoa(bbq) and tripas(trepes) with side of rice and beans for $ 5.99 –Tripas was not as crunchy as I’d like and it was fatty –I liked the asada the most followed by the barbacoa. Each taco served with lots of chopped raw onions and cilantro. –The rice and beans make sure you’re set for a food coma!

Showed up at Taco’s Ernesto for breakfast after driving past it going to work and going back home for years and it wasn’t bad. I tried their Migas and has great. Migas are eggs with strips of fried corn tortillas strip in them with a green salsa, re-fried beans and potatoes on the side. As you are waiting for your order they bring you salsa and chips. For drinks they have your Mexican soda-pop: Coca-cola, Fanta, Apple, also hochata, agua de melon, lemonade. I order a cup of coffee and was surprised it came with powder creamer(I’m not a fan of) sugar and sweeteners. Food was fresh, food was made when you ordered and it was great the green salsa on the migas and the potatoes were cooked like diner potatoes, yum, the bean were beans good. Even thou the coffee was small the host/waiter keep my coffee cup filled. The restaurant is small, reminds me of one of my favorite restaurant back home. Ran by family and taking care of their customers so that you’ll come back and be a regular. great place.

Very authentic Mexican food! The chips and salsa are homemade and we could not stop eating them! Tried the carne asada, chicken with chipotle sauce, pork with green sauce, and chorizo tacos… All amazing! Wait staff are very nice and welcoming. Will definitely be going back!

i’ll go again to try some more of their food, but definitely a good place i’d recommend! The free chips and salsa are pretty good – the chips were fresh and the homemade salsa was yeah, homemade; had a kick but not face-burningly so. Ordered the burrito with barbacoa; the burrito came with rice and beans on the side. I normally don’t like refried beans, but theirs is pretty good for some reason. About the rest of the food, there’s just something about Ernesto’s tacos and burritos and all their food in general – it’s so cheap yet so tasty and well-portioned, I dunno how they do it. The barbacoa was mad tasty and moist, the tortilla was fresh/totally not stale, etc. Everything was the way it should be and so can’t complain. Their tacos are also tasty and fresh and cheap(around $ 1.50 per at the time of this writing). In addition they have a to-go window in case you’re in a hurry. Bring cash.

Tacos Ernesto’s tacos are amazing. This bright building is in a neighborhood that will make you nervous. The tacos are worth it though. I have never dined in. I’ve always went through the drive through. It’s tiny, especially the drive through. I can hardly get my van in there, but it’s doable. I love the salsa. Oh, and I love the carne asada tacos. It comes with onions and cilantro. They give you plenty of lime! The rice and beans are pretty good too. Don’t turn your nose up at this little place with bars on the window. Stop and get you some tacos.

I’ve dined in, carried out, and used the drive-thru. I think you get the best result if you dine in, but the food is delicious no matter what! I have two words: Breakfast. Tacos. After you have one, you will crave them on the regular! My husband just recently figured out that he can drive through here, get an amazing, authentic burrito for lunch, spend less than $ 5. My favorite item on the menu is the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. That’s not the technical name for it, but man is it scrumptious. I would leave 5 stars, except the«queso» is really like stadium nacho cheese. Queso is a staple item for me, but I can live without this one…

I was in the area and had been reading the reviews for Tacos Ernesto and decided to stop in. I wasn’t disappointed. Since it was Friday I ordered the special, a fish and shrimp Mexican stew. The bowl, when it was delivered to my table, was HUGE. I wasn’t able to finish it. It was accompanied by tortillas and rice. The fish stew was very delicious and seasoned perfectly. You need to be careful since some of the chunks of fish had large bones in them. I can’t wait to return and try some of the different taco fillings. One important thing to know is this is a CASHONLY restaurant.
