Imagine my surprise when I auto-piloted into this location expecting to grab a sack(OK, that is a White Castle-ism) and first wondered what they did with the counter(it’s high and made of wood now) and second why does it smell like BBQ in here? Well the answer was rather simple, this location is now a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. Fortunately I figured this out before I stepped to the counter to place my order. Even though I was parked in this lot, I walked over to the Whataburger next door, grabbed one burger for the price of 4 at Krysta, l and enjoyed it more. To me Krystal has not been so much about the taste, but of the memories(of White Castle). I will miss you at this location Krystal.

I’ve only been there twice, but I’ve never been impressed. The burgers end up slightly soggy with not much flavor. It’s not terrible, but not a place I would pick to go back to.

Asa is correct. This is a very bad burger. I went here because this as close to a white Castle as I can get when I get the crave for a true slider. The fries were great though.

Being the only Krystal in Fort Worth gives it bonus points. Is pretty yummy but service is crummy quite often.

Great service, good tasty food, reasonably priced for a generous portion(breakfast combo including juice), fast and friendly. Place is very clean also.

What the hell is wrong with you people-this may be the worst hamburger I have ever eaten.

Skip the lunch/dinner hours or items and go here for the breakfast. Hugh Con: Sometimes the associates can be forgetful. I’m not sure how their drive thru timer works, but twice(around 10PM) I’ve been asked to move my car up after I’ve paid for the meal(Even though there is no one behind me). So I pull forward and wait… 10 mins later(I’m very patient) I go in the store and the associates don’t even recognize me plus my order is not ready. So they scramble to get my food for me. Aside from that… The burgers are ok(though slightly soggy), and I always seem to get very hot french fries(fries are lightly salted). So why the 3 stars? Hardly no lines(this place never seems very busy). The breakfast menu is the real value, especially when they hold their promotion making it half off on Sunday mornings. The morning crew is very friendly. It’s the only fast food breakfast menu that offers grits. And besides the sausages/bacon being slightly overcooked sometimes, the food is pretty good(for fast food).

I LOVE WHite Castle, and when my husband said Krystal’s was similiar. It was but I was NOT impressed. I remember the food being fresher and tasting better as well. It wan’t horrible, but I also haven’t been back! I just keep on driving and go to Subway.

Great Service, I’ve been here about 5 times and i get pretty decent service each time. I went today and ordered #3 and Sweet Bites, The very nice lady apologized and asked me to wait for the sweet bites, and i said it was okay. Then she came back out 3 minutes later and in top of the delicious sweet bites she gave me another chili cheese fries! I mean i would have been happy with an extra burger! Love this place.

I love this place. This was one of the few memories I miss of Fort Worth. This is the closest things to White Castle in the south. The only thing you got to remember is NOMUSTARD!!! It comes default on these burgers and it totally ruins the taste. Also remember to add cheese.

I remember when the FW one opened a few years back, I was so pumped! I lived in New Orleans(pre-Katrina) for awhile and there is a Krystal on Bourbon. As you might suspect, after Pat O’s, Razzo(not the D/FW version), and Tropicle Isle, those greasy burgers were awesome! That should have been my first clue that experiencing Krystal’s sober may have been less than nostalgic. So one day for lunch I stopped in. In the light of day, and without the haze of cheap booze, those little bastards are kinda nasty. Did you know they steam the meat? The ‘beef product’ is served in these little squares, steamed, and served on a bun with an onion and a pickle. Really low-tech. But cheap. So I also tried the fries(way under-cooked) and the chili was ‘fresh’(out of a can of Hormel). As far as fast-food goes, Whataburger and Taco Bell are better(and they are right next door).
