About as close to the original’s vibe as it gets. Great burger(it’s big – ½ pound, so make sure it’s not over cooked or it can dry out – I always order them medium) and the best crinkle cut fries on the planet.

Last time I was visiting friends in the Keller area I decided that I had to stop by at least one local burger place before heading home. This one nicely fit the bill as it seems to be an icon for the area for quite some time. Overall it wasn’t bad but the burger itself didn’t really leave my wanting more. It was a quality burger but I wont find myself craving it in the future.

Visited Kincaid’s for the first time today and loved it! They have pretty much any food you would have at a cookout. Hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, corn dogs, crinkly fries, banana pudding, and shakes! Food was ready pretty fast for the amount of people in the restaurant. They have picnic tables everywhere. Kinda feels like you’re having an inside picnic! We will be going back to Kincaid’s!

The burgers while a tad expensive are well worth the money. Very good lunch spot. I like the old fashion open seating on picnic tables.

I have never been here before and I’d have to say my first experience was not the best. I am about customer service as much as quality of food. I think the amount of food you recieve is way over priced for the amount you get. The food was good but they brought out my food way after they brought my sons. He was finished long before I ever got my food.

I stepped in here thinking that this location wouldn’t measure up to the Fort Worth location, but boy was I wrong! The service was prompt and friendly. I had the Cowtown burger with jalapenos and onions. It was by far one of the tastiest burgers I have had in a while. Let it be known that I am a big Kincaid’s lover; I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I hadn’t been in a while though, so to eat it again was like seeing an old familiar friend. I like knowing that if I ever get a Kincaids craving while in north Fort Worth, I can just drop on by this spot.

There burgers are great! Very nice people each time… Parking is a bit of an issue since they are in a shopping area, but there is parking in the back as well! Have to try this place if your a burger fan!

The wife and I tried this place on Sunday, and I’m sorry, we were not impressed at all. The burger was mediocre at best and the onion rings were terrible. Service was slow as well. For the amount of money we paid, i would not go back, much better burger places for the price elsewhere.

OVERRATED and OVERPRICED! I wanted to love and support it because it is a local institution but alas, I just couldn’t. The meat has no flavor. I found nothing appealing about this place. I would eat at a fast food chain burger restaurant(Wendy’s, Burger King, Whataburger, etc.) before eating here again. Not close to the same level as 5 Guys, Smash Burger, Mooyah, etc.

Just a plain olé burger. I didn’t hate it nor did I really enjoy it. Fries were just average. Did it fill me? Yes. Would I go back? I think I’ll keep on looking for that next good burger.

This place has greatly improved especially in its service. I highly recommend giving them another try. Their burgers taste like you grilled them in your backyard. Really great burger! No fast food junk here. Bacon Cheese Burger is great Cool atmosphere to, really chill Hope this helps

all you haters go grab McDonalds… This is really one of the best burgers around, sure they don’t have all the gourmet toppings and tricked up burgers but they make the perfect«reminds me of childhood» backyard burger. Want tricked up burgers this aint the place, want a good perfectly cooked, quality meat, fresh veggies, hamburger that taste like a hamburger this is your place. Oh and do yourself a favor visit the original location it awesome.

Atmosphere is cute. Great location for families to have a burger. Prices are pretty cheap. Ordered a cheeseburger with everything and it was a little messy to eat. Shared an order of onion rings with my friend. If you need a quick bite to eat then this place is good for that.

Great Burger nice and tasty. Not worth $ 11 for the combo which left me and my family still hungry. The place was empty at 6:30 pm, now I know why at those excessive prices for a burger and small fries is way too much. Need to come down on your prices or you will go out of business soon

I stopped here for dinner this evening when I was out shopping there is no one in the restaurant when I arrived other than the manager and then employee on their dinner break I ordered the Cowtown deluxe half pound burger and added lettuce and a side of fries it took approximately 10 minutes for my burger to be done while I sat at the table and watch the sports channel and looked over the free magazines they had sitting out. The burger was hot and fresh, it was extremely messy as the bun fell apart as I ate it. The French fried were regular old crinkle fries. The were hot and fresh cooked but nothing special. The resturant was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back.

I’m not sure I’ve ever written a review while still at the restaurant but I felt compelled since I’d like to think I’m somewhat of a bigger connoisseur. Kincaid’s was somewhat of a disappointment. Perhaps the original location back in the day was the s***. However, as always, mass production has created a lesser quality burger. Had I not gotten veggie toppings and condiments, the burger would have tasted even more bland than it already did. The meat patty tasted like the pre shaped meat patties you buy from wal mart. They are umm… Not good. The fries tasted pre frozen and thrown in a deep fryer. Not at all hand cut and fresh. For that matter, I paid $ 3.90 for the burger plus $.50 for the added grilled onions and jalapeños. My personal opinion, I’d head on over to Mooyah’s for the same concept, eat their super delish fries and their add any toppings no extra charge, plus their shakes, yummm any day over Kincaid’s. Yes, you pay a few dollars more but it’s worth it. My review could have been slightly influenced because I just had Hopdoddy’s a few days prior which was so much better than what I just had, but it’s a personal opinion. Oh and the deviled eggs were ok. A bit bland for my taste.

Kincaids Hamburgers Heritage Trace, Alliance, Fort Worth, TX (this is my location, there are others) History: Grocery Turned Burger Joint This place has an interesting story. To sum it up, this was a small town type grocery store. In the back, at the meat counter, the butcher would grill hamburgers to sell. Local kids would go there at lunch time, and parents followed suit. Eventually, the burger business had a line out down the isles. Every so often a business that does one primary thing well, but does not really stand out from the competition, will have a choice to make. Do we continue to be average, and get average results? Or do we branch out, do something new, etc? In this case, it became apparent that they were an average grocer, but an outstanding burger place. So they closed the store, and because a fast food joint. They kept a few isles from the store as a memory of their heritage. Sometimes there are places, like Kincaid’s, or Ruth’s Chris, or In-n-Out, that tell a story, beyond the product itself. For a native Southern Californian, the experience of an In-n-Out transcends the burger itself. If you visit a Ruth’s Chris, ASK the server the history, they were trained to tell it. It’s part of the experience. Kincaid’s is the same way. Just a need experience, nostalgic. The Burger Now, story aside, the burger is good. Sure, there will be people who had bad experiences in any restaurant, or have personal preferences not aligned with a style… But this is one I really enjoy. You order, they mark off what you want on the bag, and then you sit down at pick-nick tables in the restaurant. The burger is decent size, texas style, greesy, whatever you want on it, type burger. You can have mayo, ketchup, 1000’s mustard, BBQ sauce, whatever. They even have Jalapenos for your spicy folks. Sides Another interesting feature is the sides choices. The crinkle cut fries, friend okra, deviled eggs, etc. Cost It’s actually a bit expensive. Three Adults, Two Kids, tonight… $ 43.00. That’s not a price I can frequent right now. But it’s good food, and a fun novelty experience. Tips If you are going to go, be prepared to spend a bit of money, see above. It’s a self serve place, order at the counter, go find a seat, they call your name when it’s ready, served in white paper bags. Take a moment to appreciate the nostalgia around you. They have product ads all over from the 50’s. There’s a TV if you want to watch the game. Darrell Wolfe

Great service, great food. Luis(manager) does a great job making sure the Kincaid experience exceeds expectations. The hot dogs, grilled cheese, chili, grilled chicken sandwich, and burgers are ranked high as far as the best I’ve tasted. The grilled chicken sandwich it marinated to perfection. It’s the best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve eaten anywhere. Rarely do I dine at the same venue two days in a row. I did this weekend(Friday and Saturday) due to the outstanding taste and customer service.

Yikes. As a metroplex burger snob, I’d been told that Kincaid’s was a Fort Worth-only option that needed to be considered along with the crowned princes of Off-Site Kitchen, Maple+Motor and Hopdoddy. Not the case. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Clearly pushing for the ‘step through time’ approach, Kincaid’s provides a comfortable atmosphere that can literally accomodate any party. Service is fast and friendly, frankly there isn’t too much more that you could ask for. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $ 6.75 for a burger? Fine — Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Disappointing folks. While the patty held its own alright, the toppings really brought everything down in combination with a mediocre bun. The cheese was clumpy, the bacon shriveled and overcooked, the jalapenos pickled, and the onions undercooked. That’s a bad combination, and was one that I didn’t even finish. No Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Maybe this location is struggling, but Kincaid’s doesn’t compare with the established players in the DFW burger game. No Star Granted.

Good burger joint with a seemingly long history of serving tasty food. According to the decorative wall pieces, Kincaid’s humbly began as a general store that sold cooked hamburgers. After some success the place officially became a «burger only» establishment and began opening other stores. The menu is pretty simple: small or large hamburger/cheeseburger with fries or onion rings. I also saw hot dogs, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, fried okra, and milkshakes. The cheeseburgers were tasty– ground beef was fresh. They’re served on a fresh bun with lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato, mayo and ketchup. We ordered the small burger with fries and were super full afterwards. The kids menu is great, with about 5 or 6 options that include fries and a drink option. Order at the front counter then grab a seat. The place was mostly cafeteria style seating, so get ready to make some new friends during busier times. There are some 4-seat tables around the edge of the dining area if you want a little extra privacy, but they do base their slogan on meeting new people while you enjoy their burgers.
