Its so hot in here the air conditioner isn’t working. We have a party of 20 and they’re lucky I’m not paying the bill. There would be no tip. I would call the police about the auto tip and my attorney. I’m sweating. This is pathetic. They said they called an AC guy 2 days ago. Call another one for crying out loud !

Came in at 1:30 for a quick lunch, bad choice. Stale chips, waiter sweeping behind our table, andflies. We both ordered tacos that came with little to no cheese on plate and unseasoned ground beef. They had the gall to charge 2.50 for a tiny bowl of cheese. Needless to say we will not be returning!

Chips stale. Salsa boring. Service poor. Margarita tastes artificial. They lost our order, so we had leave after an hour of waiting around. We will not go back.

Good food, nice staff, good margaritas, clean except high chairs. I loved their tableside guacamole it was a large bowl and enough for 3 adults and toddler. Salsa was good too. My only complaint is that my husband ordered the Filete Esperanza which is, I believe their most expensive item, $ 19.99, and they politely said they didn’t have it because no one orders it. So instead he ordered shrimp cocktail, so they missed out on a few bucks. But overall we enjoyed our meal and would definitely return next time we’re in town. Oh, and the mens restroom needs a diaper changer * side note: nobody had issues with breastfeeding my 2 month old either, which is always a relief!

Food was great. I had the sour cream enchiladas. And a side of guacamole. I liked that the food didn’t have too much salt in it. It wasn’t bland but just enough to taste.

Ooohh ggaarrrssshhh. Chilaquiles here are Ohhh ggaarrrssshhh. This place is delicious. I rarely eat there, so I am now well aware that the to-go order area is in the bakery. The food is still great by the time I get home.(I usually get breakfast. Ohhh ggaarrsshhh) You guys already know about this place. Go. Just… go.

Great and pretty authentic Mexican food. None of that horrible«Tex-Mex» BS like other places. Pretty busy around breakfast time on the weekend but doesn’t take too long to be seated. Parking lot is pretty small but can kind parking fairly close.

I’ve been here several times. Time to update my review. I am sorry to say, but I have to downgrade the experience from a 4 to a 2. Primarily because of the service, but a couple of other factors. I waited tables in high school and when I was in college. I have great empathy for servers. I will tip 20% no matter what. But I won’t give great reviews if the service is bad. A group of us went this morning after work. Yes, we worked all night and decided we needed an attitude adjustment party after work. Call it an immediate urgent meeting to debrief and relief. My blood mary was undrinkable. It is a mixture/premixed deal I’m sure and they put so much powder mix in it, ugh. Another coworker had the same conclusion. The waitress was so proud of her mixing it, she beamed about the Tobasco sauce and lime she squeezed in it. It was so bad it was essentially undrinkable. We both agreed it would have been better if it had been mixed with a lot of tomato juice. Terrible to be honest. The salsa is good. Actually, their salsa is excellent. I can taste the cilantro in it, which is a serious major plus. It has just a mild kick to it, really nice. The chips were a bit stale, but not inedible. What causes such a low rating now is that the table was dirty they sat us at. It had food particles rather blazingly staring at us. No one wiped them off. They certainly weren’t busy at 7:20am. No napkins. No silverware. No water. Had to ask for everything individually. No refills on water. Nothing. I had to ask for essentially everything. And was she s-l-o-w. It took a while for any given request to be fulfilled, and we had a lot of requests because essentially nothing was anticipated by the server. Almost every order was wrong. The waitress didn’t write things down. She came across as confident, but she didn’t know how to manage orders. It is simple, write down an exact order, verify it is correct before taking it to the customer. I mean, almost every single order was wrong. We wanted corn tortillas, got flour. We wanted refried beans, got eggs. So on and so on. It seemed endless, the amount of mistakes. It got to where we just stared and kept going. It was nearly bizarre. This isn’t the only time the service is subpar at this location, although it isn’t usually this bad. I don’t get this level of poor service at the main street location. The food itself isn’t too bad. The menus were dirty. When I say dirty, we all just looked and really didn’t want to touch them. Clearly they haven’t wiped them down in a long time. One was torn almost all the way through to the other side, hanging down, looked bad. Not sure why they would give a menu like that to a customer. They do offer a basic simple Mexican meal for a decent price. If you go to the main street location, not too far from this one honestly, you can get good service, cleaner restaurant, and the same food.

Awesome food and the margaritas were great. Their chips and tortillas are homemade and salsa was a little watery but had a great flavor. There was a little bit of a wait but it is worth it!

First time visiting! I had heard about this restaurant for awhile and jumped at the chance to check it out. I am going to give them a little break on this post because perhaps we happened on an off night. However, it took less time to build the Empire State building than it took to get our food. They were very busy(Tuesday night) and it seemed that they were possibly short handed. Since we sat down at our table two different groups of customers left the table next to us. The first people left in the middle of waiting for their food order to be served and the second family that sat down left because it no one came to take their order. If the food had been fabulous we might consider returning to give it another try but the food was average. Many other Mexican restaurants in town with better tasting fare. Also, the parking can be a bit interesting if they are busy too! All in all, glad we tried it but we are on to the next restaurant looking for that mouthwatering bite.

I wish there were more stars to give. I want to hug the chef. Everyone looks more beautiful and sound smarter when I’ve eaten at Esperanza’s because I am enjoying a level of epicurean ecstasy I have been missing a long time. Not beer goggles, but similar. After moving away from Fort Worth a few years ago, I discovered that much of the rest of the country sadly has to live without the simple joy that is dining at Esperanza’s. My wife and I were back in town this past weekend, and I insisted that we had to go there for brunch. One bite of my Huevos con Tocino a la Mexicana and I was near tears of joy. One bite of my wife’s pork chop and I was speechless with bliss — it took me another day to be able to write the review without going all dreamy-eyed. And, yes, I did eat some of my wife’s breakfast — sue me. It was well worth it — that was a very flavorful pork chop. The service was friendly and efficient — I’d prefer they just left a coffee pot with me, but I didn’t mind waiting a couple minutes for refills; that’s on me for guzzling java like it isn’t a hot beverage. The coffee itself is just simply the best coffee I’ve had in a restaurant — it’s actually a shame what a lot of places pass off as gourmet coffee. Esperanza’s isn’t for everyone — if you are sensitive to flavor(a.k.a. afraid of any spice that isn’t offered in individual serving paper packets), you may want to try one of the sad imitation Mexican offerings in the fast-food realm or in the retirement community areas of Scottsdale, AZ. For me, never dumb it down! If you don’t like Esperanza’s, you should see your doctor or psychologist to determine the reason because you are missing out of one of the finer things in life. Maybe you can be salvaged.

Joined a group for brunch and was impressed. The chips and salsa tasted amazingly fresh. Had a mimosa that hit the spot along with my half order of Migas. Looking forward to returning for dinner to enjoy the salsa and a margarita. :)

Only been here for breakfast, I love the choices I have for breakfast platters. I chose the chilequiles, which came with potatoes, beans and tortillas. It was good ! Loved the chips and salsa that were brought to us before or meal. The waitress we super nice and patient and explained some items on the menu. We sat outside, not a patio but just some tables and chairs they had. I love sitting outside, and place that has outside seating I’m there. The prices are very fair with the food that you get. Very reasonable for breakfast. They give you plenty of food, I didn’t even finish my plate with all the food that came with order.

After finishing early at work, I know it is not everybody’s favorite but I carved it once in a while the famous«Menudo». I heard Esperanza’s is pretty good and it’s near work so tried it. Now there are two entrances to Esperanza’s one for take out, bakery and the restaurant part. As I got there I was greed by the hostess and sat us at out table. The decoration is ok, nothing special from the bronze tin on the roof, potrait photos of what I think is Esperanza and her family and mexican deco plates. I like the waitress uniform, white button dress shirt with black slacks. As she got the drinks order she brought tostadas and salsa which it pretty good, she brought my coffee and took my «Menudo» order and order my special request. Which she took care of me. I got my food and it was good and my toast bread to. Yum it was good. All in all excellent service, food was good, my side order came with my food and best of all my coffee was never empty. I will be returning again and you should to.

It is better than some around. It is on level with any other Mexican restaurants in Fort Worth. It is nothing that is overly exciting. The chips and hot sauce are really good. The food is fast and hot. Not too spicy. The price is very fair. I will pick here over the competition because the staff is nice and they keep up with your service.

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch! The Migas are really good, they give you so much that they’re actually enough for two! Fajitas are average, not bad but not the best you’ve ever had. You must try their lemonade, they make it in house and it’s wonderful!(Be careful because they do charge for it by the glass, but they don’t tell you up front) One downfall of Esperanza’s is the service — our waitress was pitiful. We asked for tortillas it took 15+ minutes before we got them, and when somebody in our party asked for no beans but double rice instead that didn’t happen. No big deal, but it is nice to get what you ask for when you order. The place is clean and the tables aren’t on top of each other, it can get quite noisy in there but otherwise it’s a nice little place.

I love Esperanza’s! Their breakfast is delicious. Huevos con Jamon is my favorite. Scrambled eggs with ham and it comes with beans and potatoes. I also had their Migas with chicken. I used to come all the time when I worked in the hospital district. I love their chicken tortilla soup. It comes in a big bowl and they put all the fixings on the side for you to add yourself. Plenty of avocado and cheese, yum! The pollo asado is my go to for lunch or dinner. I am a simple girl who loves grilled chicken breast with onions and peppers. It comes with rice and a side salad. Parking can be a pain, but the food is worth it!

Thanks to other Unilocalers, we decided to check out Esperanza’s. We went on a Sunday morning about 9:30, and had no issues getting a table. The ambiance is typical Mexican flair, with tons of tables. My first thought was, «man, this place must get busy!». I was right, within the hour a steady flow of patrons continued to arrive, but still didn’t reach its max capacity while we were there. The service, despite being busy, was attentive and excellent. It was well above and beyond for what you would expect in a restaurant in this price range. I had the huevos rancheros, which were delicious. This red sauce was fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The Mrs. had 2 tacos, both of which she enjoyed. We decided to try the pancakes as a side. It turns out we didn’t eat much of them because after chips and salsa, and not finishing our breakfasts, we certainly didn’t have room for much more. Despite being huge the pancakes were delicious, light, and fluffy. Overall, a solid place for breakfast. Would go back again!

So I was across the street at Chadra Mezza for a Unilocal event. Parking is tight around these parts, so I parked in front of Esperanza’s not realizing what the place was. So I went to my event, enjoyed it and on my way out I noticed Esperanza’s. I’ve heard of it from many Unilocalers. I had just eaten so I wasn’t hungry for burritos, tacos or tortas, but the bakery side was open. Granted this was the evening and I’m sure their product was pretty thin, but they still had some good options. I picked up a strawberry empanada and a rainbow sprinkled cookie for the kiddo. I also noticed a display of packaged cookies and found outh they were Mexican wedding cookies, so I grabbed them as well. There were also some other fruit and custard type parfait desserts as well and pineapple filled empanadas. The strawberry emapanada was really flaky and decent, but I guess because it had been around for the day, it was a little dry, and could have used a little more filling. The wedding cookies were really good. I really liked all the sugar on them, and it balanced the cookie because it wasn’t that sweet itself. My daughter devoured the sprinkled cookie so, that was approval enough. I will return, but I will make it a point to be there earlier in the day. I will also make sure I try the food as well.
