Small little restaurant on Magnolia. Slightly difficult to get parking here. Cashier was really nice. Place is clean. I believe they offer a discount to some hospital employees since it’s so close to the medical district– don’t quote me though. Food was very bland. I had to add salt to everything and I NEVER use salt. They bring two different salsas out– one being mild, the other one is spicy. No flavor or spiciness to either salsas. I didn’t like it, so unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

A small, family run Mexican Restaurant on the Southside serves affordable and authentic Tex-Mex in a casual environment. Nothing fancy here. The Taco platter was a must try for me — Carnitas were very tender and seasoned well. The chorizo was spicy and good. The Al Pastor, marinated in guajillo peppers was very tasty. Each taco served Mexican style with onions and cilantro. The accompanying rice and beans were… cold. I tried sitting outside on the porch patio, because the weather was so nice, but I was driven inside immediately by several cigarette smokers, who commanded several of the patio tables. Yuck!

I had the rib-eye taco’s and sirloin soup lunch special. Really stuffed street corn tacos and the combination of sirloin and vegetables was good too.

After reading all the reviews my expectations for this place was high. The owner/manager(unsure which) was extremely polite and made us feel welcomed. The tables were clean as was the rest of the store. I ordered the ribeye taco plate and my Mother had the barbacoa Taco Plate. My belief was that the«plates» all came with rice and beans but I was mistaken. My ribeye Tacos came alone with no sides. The meat in the tacos had a good flavor but was dry. To me the price for 3 little dry meat tacos really was not worth the price. My Mom’s barbacoa tacos were not all barbacoa, it was mostly brisket made to pass as traditional barbacoa. Her plate did come with beans and rice. She said it was okay. If you want chips you have to pay extra. All in all it was a pleasant experience as far as the staff goes but as for the food not so much. Probably will not return. It’s too expensive for the small amount of food we received.

I actually visited this place last year in and it was decent, the same cashier was working and was friendly and the food was pretty good(I had the pozole and a couple of tacos.) I decided to bring one of my friends here because we were in the area, and she had never been The cashier was so unfriendly, and uninviting. she acted as if we were forcing her to take our order, and seemed bothered when we asked her about anything on the menu. I ordered the Quesadilla and two tacos with Desrasanda., my friend order the three taco plate. When the food hit the table I notice the tacos were in a pool of liquid I immediately pointed that out to the server. she stated that it was the«juice» from the meat the tortilla was soggy from the«juice» and was falling apart when I picked up the tacos. The tacos didn’t even feel hot, but more that the meat was reheated and dumped on the tortilla. I tasted the meet, no flavor, no salt, just nothing. The quesadilla wasn’t even brown, the cheese wasn’t melted. I mean If I wanted some meat between a tortilla ill order a burrito but I wanted a crispy cheesy quesadilla, such a disappointment. Its pretty hard to mess up a taco. Since the waitress didn’t want to acknowledge that this was not normal. we ended up leaving I did take the quesadilla home to make it how it should be. I wish I could have gotten my money back especially since My friend was so mad at me, I had to buy her dinner from another establishment…(ELMILL) Growing up in the south side of fort worth and seeing the Magnolia/Fairmount neighborhood grow with small businesses like this you really want a place like this to be successful. But when the food isnt consistent, lacks flavor and isnt put out as if each plate is being served to a critic each time, its such a disappointment.

My life is best described as a dash between al pastors. This place is assists in my journey. With an open kitchen, and two TV’s the ambiance is wonderful. However, the food is AWESOME. FRESH, with ample portions, this place rocks. I ordered the pastor taco plate. The meat is flavorful with a hint of sweetness. The tortillas were tender, yet flavorful. The service is attentive without being cloying. If you like texmex you must try this place.

The breakfast tacos and also their white queso is legit. I wish they had more comfortable seating — we would have hung out longer.

By no means the Authenticity that I expected, in fact, I was rather disappointed. Mediocre at best.

Small place, clean, outside seating available. Soft Spanish music playing«Bailando!» In the background, so far so good. Ordered at the counter, got my glass of water, and sat. They have packets of sugar in the raw at each table, mi gusta mucho. I ordered the Chiliquiles eggs platter for $ 5.50. The plate is simple, the aroma immediate and enticing. The beans came across as powdered and reconstituted with water, not much flavor. The potatoes were cooked just right. Chiliquiles are scrambled eggs with cheese over corn tortilla strips, slathered in tomatillo sauce. They were good. The two small bottles of hot sauce were nice. The green tomatillo sauce was thin and a bit tart, but not much flavor or heat. The orange thin liquid had a lot more heat to it and a flavor I’m not sure how to describe, but good. The manager came to check on me and see how I liked it. Friendly. I thought the meal was decent. I’m not sure if my taste buds were off today or it was a little bland. It might have been my taste buds as my nose sure was running. I’ll be back to try other dishes. I like simple small authentic Mexican food restaurants.

I am brazilian not Mexican. Started eating Mexican food in 2008 after I moved here. Went there today with a Mexican friend that is pretty particular about her tacos. I ordered a tostada de ceviche and chips. It was fresh and tasty. I prefer thinner chips but those were good and the salsa was pretty good too. We liked the food but added a lot of the green salsa to make it hotter. Lots of gringos eating there they might be cooking for their taste

I liked the chicken tacos, but not the steak tacos. The food seemed over-priced and nothing came with the taco plate, other than the tacos.

I came in for a late breakfast meeting. The atmosphere was cool and relaxing. I was immediately greeted at the counter where I ordered my meal. My food was prepared quickly, and it was spot on with flavor, texture and freshness. Plus, it’s a terrific price!

Walk up counter Mexican food. Great quality especially for the price. Two meals and an app for $ 20. You can make any taco vegetarian and you’ll get a stir fry mix of corn, squash and mushrooms. Hot sauces are good. One is red and the other green. Both have lots of flavor and low heat. The queso is a must order. One of the best I’ve had.

When I’m in the mood for some rude food, There is always one dude I will choose. Tiiiina, oh Tiiiina, you fill my belly up right. Tiiina, oh Tiiina, you make my pants real tight. Friendly service, fast and walkable. What more could you ask for? delivery maybe? THEYDELIVERATLUNCHHOURS. You just got owned. I really like this place and it’s capped off by the fact I can walk here. Burn some cals, gain some cals, complain about cals, then walk home with new cals. Cals.

I’m not sure how this place has ended up with 4 stars. The food seems to be cooked well, ie: the brisket was tender however nothing had any seasoning. It was all very bland! Not even the two sauces they bring to your table had much taste. We had to ask for hot sauce, which they typically charge for from my understanding. They also put rice in their tacos which seems like a filler, and actually just added to how bland they already are. In regards to cleanliness, the place was pretty empty and yet all of the tables were all dirty. The place just doesn’t have a good vibe about it all — staff isn’t helpful or friendly and its pretty dingy. There are so many other fantastic places around in this area, I’m surprised so many rave about this place! *edit — I was reading through some reviews on this place — many also mention that the food has no flavor — hopefully someone will take notice and fix it! :)

Don’t stone me for the 2 star review. I just wasn’t impressed with this little Mexican joint. Yes, the prices were cheap but the food tasted that way. I ordered the Pozole and Fideo and the guy ordered barbacoe tostados. The food came our pretty fast but my soup was just not that tasty and I love Fideo. So I was excited when I saw it one the menu. The broth was really thin and bland. It was like an unseasoned chicken soup. The Pozole had much more spice it just wasn’t to my liking. The barbacoe was so fatty I could barely see or taste meat. I like a meaty tostada not the fatty ones. While the service was good the meal was lacking.

Alright y’all, I went back to Tina’s and had such a good breakfast. Maybe I was just in too much of a hurry last time I stopped by, but this time I actually stayed to eat and had the most relaxing morning I’ve had in a long while. I’m thinking about making more routine visits after my last experience. I came in around 10 on a Friday morning, and it was quiet inside. I noticed immediately that there has been some remodeling going on — new sign out front, new lights, new paint — and it seemed much cleaner and cozier overall, both outside and in. They also have a newly redesigned website which is fantastic. I ordered the«Huevos a la Mexicana» breakfast plate for $ 5, and it was delicious and perfect. Two scrambled eggs with sautéed peppers, onions, and tomatoes, with a side of corn tortillas, refried beans, and potatoes. It was PLENTY of food for only $ 5(with my fountain coke that I refilled twice, I paid a little over $ 7 total for breakfast). Wonderful prices and my meal was seriously YUM. The big fat chunks of piping hot potatoes were probably my favorite thing, and the tortillas were warm and homey, and the refried beans were so so good. Of course the eggs mixed with serrano peppers and onion were amazing — how could you go wrong? I ate every single bite of my meal. You get a green and red salsa, so I put both on my food. Neither are too spicy — they’re both simple but really tasty. Overall my breakfast had the perfect amount of salt and spice, and it wasn’t greasy at all. I also love that Tina’s has free wifi. I was able to get some work done on my laptop while I enjoyed my food and looked out onto Magnolia through the windows. I probably could have sat there for hours. Next time I think I will… I’ll stay for lunch because I can’t wait to order their famous pozole. Actually, all of their soups sound so good. Seriously, check out their website!
