East Gourmet Buffet

I love buffett’s and understand it is extremely difficult to run a efficient buffet. The variety at this place does it for me. So many choices, you can be in the mood for anything and they will have it (within reason). They even started a sushi area. Havent tried it simply out of fear but will probably soon. The reason i recommend this place is because of the price for all of this. You can get apps, lunch, fruits, dessert all for about 8 dollars if you go at their special hours. I forget what time it is usually but I think 11 – 3 or something like that on the weekdays. Anyways, for the price it is extremely worth it. Especially if you are trying to eat a lot to gain weight. 8 dollars is nothing.

I can’t believe what a variety they have. The food is average, typical of a large buffet. Some of the offerings were cold and some dried out. There was nothing that really stood out as great nor anything bad. The lunch pricing is wonderful. I’m not sure I’d pay the price for the dinner buffet if it were the same offerings as lunch. The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly.

There’s never enough selections and they don’t fill the buffet until everyone’s done eating what’s already on the buffet. Be prepared to be disappointed.

Food is not fresh and the restaurant is dirty. The staff is not very friendly. The sushi is questionable. I probably will not return.

This place was disgusting. There was nothing good but the mushrooms. It smelled like bad fish, the ribs were nothing but fat, the honey chicken was abominable. I wouldn’t go here if YOU paid ME. Skip this place and put the money towards something thats actually worth it.

Was excited but completely underwhelmed by the food: rubbery beef, oddly flavored chicken, small selection of chicken. I feel sort of robbed. The service was great but didn’t make up for the fact that we left hungry.

Decided to give this place a try & I ended up truly regretting it! I got so sick with food poisoning I honestly thought it would never end! My family & I figured we’d give it a chance since it was fairly inexpensive. But what we «saved» going here, ended up costing us more in E.R. visits & medication. To top it all off, when my husband took my son to the bathroom, he said it was disgusting! Before they even walked into the bathroom it smelled horrible. When they got in, someone had pooped in the urinal! When my husband told the manager he looked disgusted but also like it was not the first time it’s happened. Also, when he mentioned this place to his instructor she told him she had food poisoning from here as well as 3 other people in his course! This is a bad, bad restaurant & I don’t see how it’s still open. Save yourself the time, money & pain DO NOT go here! If I could give this a negative star I would.

Buffet are my specialty! They’re Clean, great customer service, good chef here! I’m full!

Been going for years and have only had one bad experience. Most of the time the food is very good and very consistent. Always very fresh beef and chicken with a very good variety of just about everything. Also very well priced!

I went during an off time, after lunch and before dinner. I’m leading with that because perhaps that is why I experienced the things that I did. Many of the items looked like they have been sitting out all day. For example, the wasabi wasn’t green but more brown o.O. The three positive points were the 1) price (less than $ 20 for two) and the 2) Mongolian grill. I found the Mongolian grill to be the best food here. The rest of the food I tasted (the salmon and mussels, for example, were bland.) The grill consisted with a variety of sauces (my favorite was the black bean sauce & the garlic sauce), meats and vegetables. 3) They had excellent service and grilled it quickly (no long lines) and the waiter never let our water go dry, and removed used plates right away. Will I go back? Probably not but if I do, it’ll be for the Mongolian grill alone.

This is one of the few Chinese buffet restaurants I’ve ever been to that actually served EXCELLENT Chinese food! Everything is always fresh and delicious; they also have a Mongolian grill. My wife and I eat there quite often!

Great food! Steak, shrimp plus buffet for $ 10! No other restaurant can match it. Yummy goodness.

Horrible food… horrible service… more important for the Wait staff to eat their own food than make sure we had what we needed. Asked staff a question and they did not speak English. Won’t be going back

I like the place. But seems dirty and the food wasn’t really good. Sushi not bad but don’t like it. It seems so dry and look pail. I spit it out awe. I almost vomit and quickly drink coke and hold my breath coz If I wasn’t do that I might embarrass to other customers who are eating.
We’ll u eat what u pay for. Just 7.99 for the lunch u can’t compete to other buffet.

what a terrible experience.
the food was bland and gross. the meat was way too tough, the taste forgotten as soon as it went down my throat. most dishes over cooked, hard to chew, and there was barely any difference in taste. the sushi made me gag. even the fortune cookies left a sour taste in my mouth.
at least nothing was cold. even things that were meant to be cold, like jello or raw sushi.
the restaurant was hot and uncomfortable. they screwed up our drink order and never offered to refill them. the waitress seemed offended when i mentioned it, as if i were to dare ask for a correct drink. we rarely saw the waitress who sat us. i know that its a buffet and they come around to refill drinks and take away plates, but the place was mostly empty on a thursday evening. i wouldnt minded seeing her more then twice.
ive never gotten so sick so fast, either. not ten minutes after we finished eating, my boyfriend was getting ill in their bathroom and i started vomiting not long afterwards.
there was someone elses vomit in the sink of the bathroom.
there should be a zero star rating just for this particular establishment. we will never return, and i will say a prayer every night for whoever decides to go there.

Foods ok. Lots of variety. Much much better than that crapy grand buffet on camp bowie.

Normal Chinese Buffett… The food was pretty tasteless and some of it was even cold. Not much of a selection, but it’s well displayed. Plenty of seating, so there’s not much of a wait.

The food was cold, the desserts were stale and hot, & the icecream was melted it was just horrible. We got out ASAP. Very disappointed.

Love eating here, it’s been a while but the service is still good as is the food. I don’t do sushi but their sushi bar looks good.

Food is good, but I found a dead roach in between the stacked «clean» plates.
Besides this hiccups, the food is really good for the type of setting.
I give it 4 stars for food and 2 stars for minutes.
