Steak ‘n Shake

Came here last night. They were extremely busy but the wait was too long. Then the food was cold and they didn’t give us any napkins. Disappointing

People can diss this place all they want… The burgers are super tasty… Thin patties? Yeah… So what. Make it a triple ! Why the heck not? It’s very cheap! I had the jalapeño burger and was not disappointed. The service was very fast, efficient and friendly. I was served by Lexus and she did a fine job. Bottom line is… The portions are NOT over the top… Which is fine, since the price reflects that. We shouldn’t be eating huge portions anyway… More waste. Or more waist! Lol. The cashier could have been a little friendlier… Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Another classic American burger joint that I like. Today, I decided to dine in (rather than drive through) and try something other than the classic burger –the taco salad: beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ranch dressing and tortilla strips with a side of jalapenos. My sister had the same minus the jalapenos. We had to request more beef due to the small (pre-​measured) portion served on the salad otherwise it was all right. My friend tried the turkey club with cole slaw –they said it was ok but the cookie dough shake was worth it.
Our waitress was very nice and prompt with our orders. She also returned several times to check on our table.
I didn’t realize how extensive the list was for $ 4 meals, but it definitely seems like a good deal.

Great place, food and staff. Will keep coming back to this place.

Can’t go wrong with a fast food joint that you get waited on… Plus their iced tea is great

Oh S-​N-​S how do I not like you. Let me count the ways:
Could it be the Ham Benedict III? With an English muffin topped with ham, perfectly poached eggs and smoked cheddar hollandaise?
No.
Or maybe the Sweet Potato Pancakes? Topped with homemade caramel, pecans and ginger butter?

Possibly it’s for the possibilities you have, including Breakfast Pot Pies, and all kinds of other Benedicts I have had yet to try.

It’s definitely because of the Mimosas with Odwalla and topped with some nice fruit liquor.

Deep fried, greasy everything. That used to be considered healthy back then.
Now days when something sits inside your stomach, like a ball for eight hours? People realize that it is not that good for you. Might as well eat a bag of potato chips for about the same nutritional value

Defiantly it’s the ARMY style cooking. Blandly made (so anyone can eat it), In a central location. Then shipped out to it’s customers, so they can use a lot of condiments, to give it some taste.

Sadly I used to frequent this location but I will no longer visit this location. The last 3 times I have been in the service was horrible! The staff is unattentive and does the very minimum. You get seated, they take your order bring your food and drop off your bill with your food, then you never see them again. Refill on that drink? FORGET IT!!! And do not look behind the counter where they are cooking the food. It would seem as though the managers have magical hair that never falls out in your food while they are cooking. That has to be the reason they do not have to wear a hair restraint like everyone else.
Bottom line: Unprofessional, rude, and not worth my hard earned money no matter how enexpensive it may be.

We’ve been Steak-​N-​Shake friends for years and this location is our favorite. Super burgers and chili, their breakfast is great too.

This place has the best burgers. You have to visit. The shakes aren’t all that but the burgers are killer.
