Awesome grown up grilled cheesy. Very cheesy and made with quality ingredients. We split 2 different ones The gourmet and the mad Apple. They where each unique and really good. The Apples on the mad Apple where fresh and really worked with the other ingredients. The gourmet was super cheesy. The tomato soup as a side was fantastic. Very flavorful, this wasn’t the good olé from a can soup your mom force fed you as a kid. Great beer beer selection. Good location. A neat and unique place. The only issue that we had was the service. Friendly but not very attentive. Won’t hold it against them because it was when one server was leaving and the other was walking into us setting there. Cool place in downtown! A must try place

I liked this place for lunch. I had the split pea soup and the smoked salmon on bagel. Both were good. Try it

Go for the art on the walls, leave when you realize that is all the place has going for it. I’ve been a Dash Advocate since I started regularly going there four years ago, and it breaks my heart to say this, but I will not be returning any longer. The service has become absolutely and unforgivably horrendous. The Dash is one of those places that I go to, have a bad experience, wait a month, and then decide to give it another shot, only to be again disappointed again. Dash, I remember when you were my favorite downtown spot to grab a beer, a burger, and delicious cold asian salad. Now all you serve is disappointment.

It breaks my heart to write a negative review about my once favorite brunch/lunch spot(months ago I wrote a great one)… However after another bad experience I can’t help but say something. Today at lunch I had the most offensive service I have ever had in my life. Our waiter was rude to the point of making all 5 of us uncomfortable. At one point someone politely asked if he had a recommendation on dressing for a certain salad and she received the most exasperated eye roll then sigh followed by a curt no. When four different beers were ordered he popped his head outside to say«we are out of those beers» and then did not come back outside for another 10 minutes to explain they were out of most beers and he didn’t know what they had so just come inside and figure it out. I felt like waiting on our table was a huge and inconvenient burden for him. On Saturday I had a different waitress who was equally rude, did not give me the correct order(twice and unapologetically) and was slow despite having no more than two other small tables. I am a frequent and long time dash goer however today was my last visit. I am embarrassed I have always used this place as a go to recommendation for those wanting a wonderful downtown spot.

Was at the Dash for a business lunch yesterday. The waitress was rude and her service was horrible. I won’t be going back! There are other places downtown that will treat me like they want my business.

Tasty. I got the falafel burger. I’m not into beer but this place had that brick-y, hipster, craft-beer-on-tap look and feel to it, which I know a lot of people appreciate.

The food was decent. They had good vegetarian options on the menu. I liked my veggie crossiant sandwich, but the pesto veggie soup had absolutely no flavor. All 5 of us tried it and agreed that it was pretty much just water with pesto and veggies thrown in. It was just not good at all!

Came here for lunch and told the waitress I only had an hour. We had our food within minutes! She made sure we had drinks the whole time and the check right away. Amazing service! The food was very good. I enjoyed my gourmet grilled cheese and tomato bisque.

Like many other people in Fort Wayne, Dash In is a favorite. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Whether it’s for a quick lunch or dinner and drinks with the girls, the food and service is always excellent. This past experience was driven fully by the mac and cheese grilled cheese special of the day. I am a grilled cheese expert(my absolute favorite food), and let me tell you, you won’t find a better grilled cheese sandwich in Fort Wayne. From the pesto, spinach artichoke, cider house, even the original is amazing. Perfectly paired with dynamite tomato bisque. They also feature a wide variety of other sandwiches, salads and soups. They have different lunch and dinner menus so if you have the chance to go twice, check out the different menus. The bar holds a great selection of beer and wines as well(no hard alcohol). This is a bar, and they do ID! Live music on the weekends with multiple board games that can be played at your table. One of Fort Wayne’s bests!

Decided to try this downtown place for a Saturday Brunch. The ambiance is trendy and takes advantage of the long, narrow edifice space well. The front has several seating tables as well as seats at the bar. There are a handful of high tops along the kitchen, and more booths and tables in the back of the restaurant. Take time to check out the many local artist photos around the walls. On our visit the place was pretty busy, almost every table filled on a Saturday around the lunch hour. Our service was«meh». I say this because I couldn’t really call it friendly, inviting or helpful. We asked questions about what she would recommend, but she would not offer anything specific. So we asked specific questions about certain menus selections and again, she could not give an opinion of the product. Found this to be a bit unusual. Her behavior was actually a turn off to trying to have any type of conversation about the locale or business. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with side of red skin potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was cold, like it just came out of the refrigerator. Fortunately the crab cake itself and egg were perfectly prepared, hot and tasty(enough to warm the sauce after a time). The potatoes had good flavor also. I probably should have mentioned something about the sauce temp, but did not see our server for quite some time after the meal arrived so I just ate it. I did enjoy it the flavors, but did think it would have been much better if the sauce was hot. I recommend the dish… just check the temp. My wife ordered the Eddies slop: a mixed up mess(in a good way) of eggs, bacon, green peppers, red peppers, sausage, onions, red skin potatoes, cheese. She thoroughly enjoyed this(me too when she let me try it) and would recommend it. Hope to find an opportunity to return for their dinner menu and try some of the craft beer they offer in the future.

Stopped in on a whim for a weekday lunch. I liked the décor as it felt kind of hippy dippy. Service was friendly. Menu was a bit small for my tastes. Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with a cup of the Pesto Vegetable soup. Two thumbs up! I am a soupaholic and this soup was fantastic. It had no meat but was still very flavorful. It was herbaceous and topped with scallions and parmesan. What a unique combination of flavors. And the Cheesesteak wasn’t that bad either. Not to die for but a place I’d visit again if i were in the neighborhood.

The food was fine. Nothing fantastic, but fine. A good, solid, burger and sandwich shop. But some of the servers… man. We had a waitress take our order. Very friendly, did a good job. Quite quickly, our food arrives. My partner ordered a sandwich and soup, and received a sandwich and potato chips. We told the waitress, and it was immediately corrected. Great! 15 minutes pass. A waiter comes up to our table. W Waiter: «Hey. Those dishes aren’t actually yours. They were someone elses. Yours are up, If you want them I can switch them.» Me: «I ordered the tuna and some soup. That’s what I have. This appears right.» Waiter: «Yeah, but it’s not. Trust me. I’ll just take this back.» This had been 15 minutes into our meal. My soup was half gone, as was my sandwhich. Ditto my partner. Me: «It’s fine. We’re fine. Thanks. A» Waiter: «Ok. But it’s wrong. So if you don’t like it, it’s not my fault. You chose this.» In case my words aren’t conveying this, the entire exchange was in the most condescending tone. We finish our meal. Our original waitress comes up. Waitress: «So sorry about the mix up. How was it?» My partner: «I’ve had better here. The sandwhich was OK, and the soup was a bit cold. But I understand there was a mix up so no big dea – « Waiter from TWOTABLESAWAY: «That’s because you wouldn’t turn it in! It’s your fault you didn’t like the sandwich! I could’ve given you warm soup so this isn’t my fault!» *Storms off to the kitchen. Seriously? Get a control over your waitstaff. Your food is fine, but not good enough to put up with this crap.

one of my friends who lives in fort wayne is constantly posting pictures on facebook of the delicious looking food from dash-in, so when my boyfriend & i wound up in the fort for an art festival, i insisted we stop in to dash. for 3:30pm, there was quite a decent amount of patrons inside & out. we were greeted the second we walked in & found a seat. our waitress gave us a few minutes to look over the lunch menu & overwhelmingly large beer menu before taking our order. the boyfriend ordered the gourmet grilled cheese & tomato bisque, along with a magic hat #9. i ordered the ham & cheese melt with the tomato bisque, & shipyard’s melonhead(WHICHISAMAZING). overall, the food was delicious & the service was great!

Id say all five stars buttt service doesn’t really cut it here. Ive been here many times and nearly every time the service feels more like«im here for a paycheck«one time i went with a farely large group of friends and we were bar hoping so we got only a few beers here. Only one of my friends got food. As i was walking out one of the servers was cleaning our table and he said iutloud. «Of course the one who doeant gets food barely tips me.» to me thats rude! The environment is pretty chill with beer prices on a chalk wall behind bar. The prices are really steep compared to most downtown bars. I can get the same drink but more of it for cheaper right down the street. Other than that i do like that the food here is pretty good. I can not at all complain about any food item i have gotten from here. Not recommended but worth a try for the food.

A must-go for a fast and healthy lunch. My favorite is the hummus platter– easily shareable. Live music and great beers on a draft is always a winner in my book. How many places can you go and play Apples to Apples with your friends on a Friday night? Daily specials are always a treat and delicious. I have yet to have a bad experience yet. Dash is my favorite Saturday brunch spot– complete with some of the best coffee drinks to choose from around.

Dive in is a good place for a casual meal and drinks. I like the fun art that can be purchased all over the walls. There is a nice little patio, a good size bar, and a lot of brick wall. Our group enjoyed the meal(I had the falafel burger with the Asian noodle side, all pretty good.) I appreciate that there are healthier and less healthy options on the menu. Service was fine.

We came here for breakfast & will be back sometime for lunch/dinner. I had the vegetarian sandwich on a croissant. The herb spread on the sandwich was delicious as were the veggies, egg & cheese! The croissant was buttery & flakey. My husband had the country Benedict which was good as well. The gravy was perfect & the poached eggs were cooked well. The biscuit wasn’t my favorite but I make some killer biscuits myself :) The hash browns were crispy with rosemary & a hit of something spicy(?cayenne?)
