SO Beautiful Salon

I LOVE Shantah, owner of SO Beautiful Salon. I have been going to her since October 2015. I found her randomly on Unilocal and began reading reviews because I am very very cautious with letting people touch my hair. The moment I met her at my consultation I knew she was the perfect person to do my hair. I am very self conscious about my hair, I have stress spots and things of that nature. She has got me to a place where I feel absolutely confident about myself and my hair. If you need someone you can trust and guide you to healthier hair and look as beautiful as you feel, give her a call.

I visited this salon for the first time on my birthday to get a full sewn in weave with a closure. I called ahead of my appointment to ask some questions since this would be my first time getting this service done to my hair. Shantah was very professional and answered all my questions during the phonecall. The day of my appointment I used the Unilocal deal, pay $ 200 for up to $ 230 worth of service. Overall, I had a good experience at SO Beautiful. The salon was very well decorated and is in the basement of her home, which made me feel at home while still keeping a professional salon look. Shantah offered me coffee, water, & snacks. I also was able to catch up on Scandal and Some other shows while getting my hair done. Prior to starting my hair she asked questions about my current haircare regimen and also asked if I was tender-​headed, which I appreciated bc I am. She took care in making sure that my hair was not too tight and that I was comfortable. Her customer service skills were on point and she does hair well. I would recommend her to my friends and family.

So, I found S. O beautiful when my last hair stylist (who shall remain nameless) chopped off my long hair due to «breakage». According to my dermatologist, she wasn’t properly using chemicals and neglected to deep condition it… but i’m ranting right about now… back to the main topic! Shantah has truly transformed my hair! Since I have started going to her, my hair has grew, looks extremely healthy and I have no breakage. The first time that I stepped foot in her establishment, she gave me a complete hair assessment and recommended products to use on my hair. She has been my hair savior! I promise all of you, if you go to her, you wont be disappointed.

I am always extremely satisfied with my hair after each visit. A stylist should always ensure the best interest of the client. Healthy hair should always be the ultimate concern and Shantah ensures that your hair is not only styled to perfection but is healthy. Let me start off by saying that I’m a picky person so when I find something I like I stick with it. I’m an active duty service member with the Army and my hair has to be pull back, up and off my shoulders every single day so its hard to have a nice hair style that makes it through the day let alone the week with putting my hat on and off. I am so use to just getting braids and calling it a day for three months straight and then repeating the cycle. I was on Unilocal trying to find a new salon that’s closer to me and came across SO Beautiful. I was nervous because I had never had a sew in before, but Ms. Shantah called me back after I hung up and assured me that I would love it. I didn’t have to go to a beauty supply store for anything because she had is all there in her shop. I get there and she has her own shop set up in her basement. It is professional and honestly looks better than some of the shops I’ve been to. I left there feeling sexy and looking like a woman. My husband loved it. That was back in Jan 15, I’ve seen her three times since then with the same sew-​in installment and still looking nice. She is very professional and she knows what she’s doing, she cares about her customers and their hair. Can’t wait to try something new next month.

Normally, I do not write salon reviews, but in this case I just had to. This was my first visit and I must say I am very happy with my hair, the service, the cost, the professionalism and overall experience at Shantah’s salon. Shantah is AWESOME. Not only did she do an OUTSTANDING full sewn in weave, but she also recommended treatment for the care of my natural hair and clipped my ends. She asked questions to determine the best care for my hair which is a hydration treatment. Her establishment is very clean, equipped, and provides a pleasurable and private environment. A warm and welcoming experience; enjoyed our conversations. She is well equipped to meet all of your beauty need. I highly recommend Shantah without hesitation or reservation. You will not be disappointed. I WILL be going back and recommending her to family, friends, and associates.

Ladies — when it comes to our hair — we don’t play! That might be especially true for black women…
I had been going to a stylist for over a year and really wasn’t happy with the salon, the service or the final product. For the amount of money i was spending, it just wasn’t work it. After a really bad experience, i said enough was enough.
I started looking online for a new place to go and came across SO Beautiful website. I loved Shantah’s work and wanted to make an appointment. This is probably the hardest part — when you go to a new salon you don’t know WHAT to expect.
Well let me tell you, first I knew I would like this place because when I called to make my appointment Shantah literally asked me 20 questions about my hair and the products i use — this has NEVER happened! She was so focused on my hair and my hair goals, not on selling me on her or her products.
I was lucky that she had an appointment that weekend, and after going, I’m screaming at the top of the mountain how great she is. She walked me through how to take better care of my hair and made product recommendations based on what she has seen success with and what would work best for my hair types. She does just about any type of African American hair.
On top of all of that — she does full body waxing, nails and probably some other things I don’t know about! I haven’t been this happy with my hair in so long — feels great!

Shame to say it… but I’m a diva who loves skill just as much as I love convenience– such a thing is hard to come by! Until now, I thought it impossible. But I found what I was looking for at S.O. Beautiful. I was able to get no hassle parking, the best pedicure ever, a fabulous hair weave, snacks, and service with a smile. Don’t take my word for it… you must try this place!
