We got together with three other couples and took advantage of the Valentine’s Day special. When we arrived, we were seated in a cramped, table better suited for 6 people. The deal they offered was great…$ 59/couple for a three course meal. With a price that low, I wasn’t expecting much in the way of quality. As many here have already written already, the food was surprisingly good, BUT as good as the food was, the service was about as poor as I’ve ever experienced. First the good, I chose a sampler platter for my appetizer. Not bad. A few strips of steak, some friend mozzarella, and a couple of clams. Nothing special, but not bad. My main course was a steak that was cooked to perfection. It was tender, and the portion size was very fair for the price. I came served with potatoes and a veggie. Desert was nothing to write home about. Here’s the problem: we arrived at 6:30, and didn’t get out until almost 10:00. The length of time between courses was ridicules. As we looked around, we noticed parties of tables came and finished while we sat waiting for our entrees. Our waitress was loud, and there was a definite lack of organization, as employees seemed to wander around carrying plates with no idea which table had ordered it. Given the fact this was Valentine’s Day, we expected a more romantic setting, and this was anything but romantic. Despite asking several times if the piano player could tone it down just enough so we could carry on a conversation, we were told he had auditioned for a tv reality show, and they seemed more impressed with that, than satisfying customers. The big shock came when we got the bill, and saw we were charged 10 bucks a drink. I can see coming in for a drink during the summer, but don’t plan on coming here for dinner unless you have a lot of time to invest.

We have had excellent lunch and dinners at Latitudes on the River but Sunday brunch is only 1 out of 5 stars. Brought my wife to brunch on Valentine’s Day based on prior dining experience. Was promptly seated but service gave poor presentation of brunch menu nor were to go for dishes, etc. Actual buffet was cramed into a corner of the room. Food was okay but nothing to write about. I apologized to my wife afterwards and told her we would need to have a ‘do over’ the following weekend. Recommend Latitude management visit Renault Winery for a proper Sunday brunch. We book another brunch for Easter at Renault Winery before leaving.

Had crabcakes and filet mignon. Nothing could possibly have been improved from the service to the preparation to the finishing sauces. The room was quite noisy so next time we will wait until it’s warm and enjoy the outdoor seating.

Based on a recommendation by my sister’s friend, we hosted my sister’s baby shower here in early January. We were able to use the very nice upstairs room for a buffet style luncheon. The food was terrific! We all enjoyed it. We also enjoyed our drinks from the 2nd floor bar. We received above average service from Ann West, the party manager. She helped me arrange the party over the phone and through email. She was very accommodating and pleasant! I highly recommend using her for a party at Latitudes On The River! And if you can, try to use the third floor for your event-it’s a gorgeous view and nice for a smaller party.

Awesome! By far one of the coolest places to get a drink on the water. Food truck at beach bar is awesome for fast food. Not many big boat slips. Make sure to call and reserve slip if going by boat.

This place is beautiful on the water but the food is not good. Ordered some mussels and the broth was cold, congealed, tasted terrible. It seemed like they tried to thicken it with corn starch –why?! Very disappointing. Salads are not as described — there were no beets on the spinach salad. It was pretty boring. Not to mention we waited half an hour for our food in an empty restaurant.

Love this place. Outdoors in the summer is fantastic. You can enjoy the music and breeze and still maintain a conversation. The color scheme outside is odd, but who cares.

Uggggh. I want to give this place 5 stars for the vibe because it’s awesome but sooo many times they drop the ball! Went tonight and was told there was a «hold» on the kitchen and there would be a 1.5 hour wait. Last time we went the food was awesome. Last summer same issues. This place needs to get its sh*t together!

Great views of the river from the large windows all around the restaurant. Good food. Service was OK — needed to look for our waitress a few times. Receptions are held on first floor with restaurant above. There was a wedding going on while we had dinner on a Saturday night. The music was only loud for a few minutes. If the weather is nice enjoy the outdoor patio.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. It seems like this place has different management/ownership each year. For some reason we continue to give it a chance because of the location but this weekend was it. Should have known better since it was dead on a Saturday afternoon on Memorial Day Weekend. No kids menu first of all. Waitress said«let me check what we can do» and comes back with the manager. His suggestion was to order the chicken fingers off the regular menu or a cheeseburger and cut it in half. We were cracking up. As for the rest of the menu… they forgot the fish. No fish at all on the menu. Not even something fried. Burgers, cheesesteaks, chicken fingers, blah blah blah. My wife ordered a salad and I don’t know what was put in front of her but it was a mess. She actually had to send back a salad. The avocado was BROWN. Just go to the Captain’s Inn down the block. Or you could go to Applebee’s on Lacy… it pains me to say that you’ll probably have a better meal.

Made reservations for outside seating for 7pm, no table available, had to sit near the very noisy bar. No drink menu, so we had no clue what they offered. 30 minutes for a fried appetizer that was over cooked. 7 entrée choices, ordered the short ribs only to find out that at 7:30pm they were all out. 25 minutes for warm Brie that wasn’t warm. Not only was the ratio of bread to meat off(way too big of a bun and no meat) but the burger tasted like a charcoal briquette. Although they have great menu items they epically fail on execution of flavor. Prices do not reflect the quality of food. Trying to end on a positive note… Our waitress Darla was super nice!

Been to place a few times and each time is different. The first time drinks and food was off the hook great. Next drinks seemed watered down but food was still great. Then another time the food was shit. Went a couple of more times by boat and one time food was great and the next time food was shitty. I guess the food depends on the cook.

Never even made it to the point of ordering any food. Had to seat ourselves. The waitress realized this and came right over but proceeded to yell since there was a dead fly on our table. Could not even concentrate on the menu due to the dozen or so flies buzzing around the window. Needless to say, got up and left.

Memorable. For all the wrong reasons. Absolutely awful service and even worse food. Dinner reservation for 730pm. 40 minutes later we get our soup and salad. No soup spoons. 10 minutes later get the spoon. Water glasses empty. No servers refill them. Waitress is nowhere to be found. 8:45pm she comes over and says your dinners will be here sometime soon. Walks away. Wine glasses empty. No one cares. 9:00 dinners arrive. Sesame crusted grouper special. Sound good. Not. They sesame crusted the grouper skin and plopped it on a scoop of risotto. Asked to see the manager. An «executive chef» arrives and proceeds to tells us it was his first night. They called him at 430 to come in. He had no idea what was on the menu or in inventory. Pathetic. Enjoying a pizza elsewhere as I write this review. A not so Happy Father’s Day dinner from Latitudes

Went for a bite to eat & was extremely disappointed. Though my grilled chicken Ceasars salad was good, the portion size was ridiculously small. Also ordered the nachos which were supposed to come w/chili but when they were served there was none on them. When we inquired about it to the waitress, she told us they ran out of chili. The nachos were gross & I cant believe they would even serve them to customer’s. All in all, the beach bar atmosphere is very nice but the food leaves ALOT to be desired.

Was here for a Surprise Baby Shower. Place was great, although the location was a bit hard to find. Service was impeccable, my drinks just kept coming. I thought the food was just«eh», but it was buffet, and to me, that all tastes the same. I’d like to come back here just for a dinner and drinks to fully grasp the whole experience, but as far as the event I was at, they did a great job.
