If you are a pizza store your main function is to have pizza. If you run out of pizza at 830 on a Saturday, you are a terrible pizza place. Avoid this store like the plague, new owners don’t know about customer service very rude. Many other quality places in the area to give your business to

I’ve ordered food from this restaurant twice. The first time it arrived an hour late. The second time, it arrived an hour and 20 minutes late. Their food is good, but don’t even think about ordering delivery from this place.

My family and I order from Gino’s regularly. HOWEVER, they are now under new ownership and the pizza is awful. The pies are smaller and thinner and overall NOTGOOD. Such a disappointment. We have to find a new place to order from

I am all about smokey flavor but the cheap price isn’t worth the cigarette tasting grossness they try and pass off as a pizza. I am a very forgiving person and tried it a second time and the same cigarette pizza was given to me. Umm yeah, never go there, I should have known the amount of times I walk by and the place was always empty. Unless you want to throw money away, you might just try another pizza place, because this place serves garbage. The dollar pizza in the city is 5 stars compared to this place, and that is cardboard and cheese. Rarely write reviews but I felt that the truth needed to be told.

New management has turned Ginos Pizzeria into a hit or miss kinda of place. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Received pretty obviously burnt pepperoni rolls today, had to dispose of it because digesting it was not a option. Try harder guys, before you lose a loyal customer.

Decent pizza but salads and sandwiches are better. Lunch specials are a great deal, salads, pasta and sandwiches for 7.00−7.50 and the portions are pretty good. Meatball sandwich is much better than Mike’s down the road on Yellowstone!

I go to this place pretty often and the pizza is good as well as the pastas. They have a very good buffalo chicken slice, which I feel most pizza places screw up. The only complaint really is the old man behind the counter. He’s not friendly and always grunts and stares at you for whatever reason.

Well, let me start by saying this… the fact that this place calls themselves«Gino’s» is a disgrace. I work in the area, and I go to this place because it is close an convenient. I am done spending my money there. The guy who is ALWAYS behind the counter is the BIGGEST dick I’ve ever dealt with. He has the personality of a box of rocks. If the pizza was truly amazing(real Gino’s pizza) I’d deal. But mediocre pizza plus a douche nozzle of a counter worker or owner equals this guy never going there again. If you want to be treated like a piece of crap and have some so-so pizza, this is your place. If not, take a the 3 minute drive to the other hundred other pizza places that have good pizza and don’t treat you like a they’re doing you a favor.

Really good pizza. Crust on the thin side, sauce a bit salty and cheese just the right amount(not overly cheesy) and flavorful. Place has changed hands and names several times over the past few years, but the current incarnation is the best of them as far as pizza goes. Staff is not friendly but I don’t come here to make friends. They have a large pizza special for $ 8(eat in or take out, but it’s a bit smaller than the regular large pie for $ 12). Still a good deal.

I’m a fan of pizza but this is the worst place. Pizza is not cheesy and tomato sauce need more salt. Also, delivery is very slow. Garlic knots are not that delicious as should be. I don’t like that place at all. Comparing to pizza classica is nothing.

For delivery pizza, I am a fan. Crust is crispy and chewy but thin. Pizza isn’t so greasy and it is quite yummy. Just RIGHT for me.

I am SO happy that Gino’s opened up in Forest Hills. Their regular pies are classic Jersey-shore style pizza, with just the right amount of crust, not too thin and not too doughy. Their margharita pizza with fresh mozzarella is exceptional. There are a couple of other pizzerias in the neighborhood that seem to have a following based more on inertia than taste. I strongly encourage those people to try Gino’s next time. I think you’ll be a convert.

$ 2.20 for a plain slice that checked your basic NYC boxes — crispy and chewy with simple, fresh flavors. Main flaw was that the crust was on the dry side. Not a destination, but more than suitable for a quick hunger fix.

Forest Hills has always had a good representation of long time pizza parlors well dispersed throughout the neighborhood. Such longstanding names include Tony’s on Metropolitan(no longer in business) Milke’s on Yellowstone, Capri/Mazzara on Metro, Lillian’s on 69th, yet the Selfridge strip of stores never had a place for pizza for many years. Over the past few years, there was a place that broke the mold and took up a store front(the name evades me, but I will add it in) that did not fare well and Gino’s of Forest Hills now has the storefront. Self proclaimed«Best Pizza in Forest Hills» is a personal opinion, yet the regular slice and the Sicilian I tested the waters with, were a classic and a good tasting slice of Queens, NY pizza, two slices ran me $ 4.75. When a pizza parlor has multiple pie’s laying out with every topping under the sun, unless in Manhattan where turnover is high, usually puts me off. But Gino’s, from what I gather, changes the amount of total pies and what is being offered that day.(additional update to follow with all specifics) There are a nice selection of ‘by the slice’ options such as the well topped Gino’s Special, Caprese, Vegetarian as well as the classics. A great way to try Gino’s out the Sicilian(try the personal 4 slice for &5.50 – ) Grandma’s. If your REALLY hungry and looking for a larger portion of pizza for an individual, the personal 10″ inch pizza has been a great way to go. You will not see the sign unless you walk into Gino’s, as the hand written signs on the back of a white paper plates are displayed via a stick of tape attached to the front glass window, placed high enough for a gnome. Gino’s offers more than pizza, there are wraps and hamburgers, yet my desire to order a burger from a pizza joint remains a non priority but because their other food is excellent, you can bet I will give it a go. The remaining portion of the menu is very straight forward, easy to read. The Specials are broken up into two parts. One section, offers discount deals for all menu items purchased in bulk, essentially any dinner, pizza, hero, wrap is a buy two and get one for free. Part two of the Specials menu is extremely fair in pricing on. Baked Ziti, Penne alla Vodka sauce, Chicken and Spagetti and more all run about $ 6.00 for nice hearty portions, download the PDF for more information or just stop in as it is worth the trip.
